Weather: What's the Weather Like in Your Corner of the World?
Patricia wrote: "Not big weather changes in Southern California. Low 70's partly cloudy near the beach."Hopefully we will have some June gloom. The air quality has been dreadful though. Smog has really been hanging around the mountains the last few days.
The weather here is lovely; temps in the high 70s /low80s and a sweet breeze. So nice sitting on my porch or patio...However, I saw on the weather forecast that the Midwest is bracing for tornadic storms again, including Oklahoma. Terrible...hope they dodge this one.
Summer's here. Gonna be 108 tomorrow :(. Oh well, only 4 more months of this. At least I have a pool. Sunny AZ!
People in AZ are made of strong stuff. I don't if you have AC, temperatures over 100F for months on end would have me in tears.
Three guys from my town were killed by the tornado in Oklahoma Friday. They were storm trackers and researchers out in the storm tracking the path of the tornado when they got caught by the storm.
We have not had rain in months. The weather this week in LA has been pretty nice, only in the 80s. However, I do not like the humidity.
It has been really nice here in LA. It has been about 80-85F degrees for the last two weeks. Just beautiful.I expect August to be hellish.
Hellish meaning VERY hot. Last time I checked hell was not cold. Of course, I haven't been there in a while and with global warming you never know. ;-)However, the weather has actually been really nice it has only in the 80s. But this hasn't stopped the wildfires, we have three in the Southern California at the moment, thankfully none of them are that close to me..
Weather is perfect here in the San Francisco Bay Area!
This is the "hot" time of year in Oregon. Temperature has remained in the upper 80's for a couple weeks now. It can get hotter than that, but, it rarely does. Most people can easily remember the hottest days that they remember and where they were when they happened. Mine is a Grateful Dead concert in 1972 when it was 106. They commissioned water trucks to spray the crowd with river water for cooling down. Told us not to drink the water, and not to waste drinking water by pouring it over yourself. Sunset, while it meant the end of the concert, was pretty welcome for a lot of people.
Another 106 day, was at a softball tournament. I was playing 2nd base and I spent the games standing on the grass. Way to deep to play well, but, it was cooler on my feet than standing on the dirt infield. We lost. All of us were relieved to be out of the heat. Only time I ever saw that collection of guys pour beer on the ground so we could fill the pitchers with water to pour over ourselves! Now that's hot! No matter what the temperature says it is!

Woah! Way too HOTT!!
Woah! Way too HOTT!!
We are going to hit 90f for a couple of days--ther high over TX is pushing over in our direction. However, according to Dallas Raines (our local weather man, his names is hilarious!) say the low off of the Pacific ocean will push back in and we get done to the 70sf by next week.
Well I'm on holiday in Florida at the moment and its sunny at 91 degrees. Much better than the weather I would normally be getting if home in N East Uk. Sorry I know it's a cheat, but I'm loving it!!Amanda
The weather here in Peoria, Illinois has been gorgeous. Partly cloudy with highs in the high 70's. According to the forecast temps will be going back up in the 80s and I don't mind that either.
Early fallish in Iowa. The temps will rise to the upper 80s next week. Of course! The kids start school next week.
Northeast PA: sunny and mild (daytime highs in the low 80s) with low humidity but overnight temps have been a bit brisk (upper 40s) all week. I'll take a whole summer of this!
Alps have had warm weather lately - need to go up to cool off. Breathtaking walks. Today clouds and sprinkles and a little cooler - low 20s (around 70°F).
Bergen, NorwayFamous for being rainy, so of course it has rained today - But there's a little sun in between :)
I bragged to my friends about how I will never catch cold no matter how long I stay in the heavy rain. We were jogging at the beach last weekend and I called them 'coward' for quitting just because of some rain. Well, I guess I'm not that immune after all. Today is my first sick leave of the year 2013.
Hahah, oh no! xDThis summer I jumped in the freaking water, while I was sick - I got worse.. I've been sick for 4 weeks now, the doctor is now giving me an inhaler lol
I live in Colorado where we have a saying "don't like the weather wait five minutes it will change!" My dad is always saying that we have to seasons here winter and July. But right now the sun seems to be shinning which is perfect because I have my first day of classes at Metro
So I would rather walk around the campus when it's sunny out then snowing:)

Janessa, where in Colorado? I'm coming to Denver area in September for a conference and plan to spend a couple of days after in RMNP.On the east coast, weather is warm and humid in Connecticut, although my husband is working on our house in upper NH and he reports it is cool and crisp.
It's very hot and humid here in Louisiana..But, the rain still comes down every now and then to make it a little bit more tolerable
In Iowa we were blessed with early fall like weather for a couple of weeks. Today is the 1st day of school for the kids and of course it is going to be humid and near 90! It happens every year. I swear if school started in Oct. It would get hot over night LOL
I think we're having monsoon season here in South Georgia. It's rained here every day but one for the last month.

Near Golden is all I'm going to say. If you can't get up to the mountains there are plenty of things to do in Denver. We have a great art museum and zoo with tons of new baby animals, so cute. Plus a ton of theaters with shows on the weekends and some are reasonably price.

We have been very blessed in south Florida this summer. Half way through hurricane season and not a blow yet. Let's pray it stays that way.

We probably will spend a few days in Grand Lakes - looks like September will be good hiking weather.
We have had plus ninety degree here this week but today seems to be cooler. I even have my bedroom window open to let in some fresh air. Sadly we are having some fires up in mountains. If we can get a good rain storm that should help.
Pittsburgh - just had the most awesome lighting storm here. Clear dark sky that was lit up every few moments by these bolts of lightning on a humid night. very little rain so I could sit outside on my porch and enjoy with a nice cold beer.
Boston is hot and humid, 90s today, but will cool a bit in the next few days, fall will be here soon enough :(Dennis, lightning storms are great!

I love lightning storms! I could have sat out there for hours.

;-)
Very warm and humid here in my neck of the woods. IT is supposed to cool down by the weekend though, so here's hoping that happens.
