How is your day going? Rant away if need be... or just chat about anything.

Yes! I was totally going to add that! Thanks for the reminder! (if you think of more series to add to the YA/NA Romance let me know.)
I love this group -- it looks great. :) Off to eat and I am going to be back to explore. Thank you ladies.

I can add a few of the ones I know a lot of people are reading, sometime over the next few days.

did you make a shelf for them yet? I might have to pillage yours.
Actually, ignore my last post. I do have a NA shelf. I don't generally shelve books though (outside of my unfinished and tbr shelf) unless I've read them. So the only books on my NA shelf would be ones I've read.
Oh now I feel silly -- I thought Shera was joking, sorry -- TSTL is too stupid to live -- usually used when talking about all those silly heroines in PNR and UF books! LOL.
Can I delete my post so people don't think i'm TSTL? lmao!! It's been one of those days. I got a filling Wed and I swear i've had a headache ever since and the wind has not been helping me.
Wendy F wrote: "Yes! I was totally going to add that! Thanks for the reminder! (if you think of more series to add to the YA/NA Romance let me know.)"NA would be great. I want to read more of it. Is there going to be a thread for Fever if the series is going to continue?
Wendy F wrote: "Hahahahahaha!!! I always forget what TSTL is too, until I stare at it and think for a minute."I know. I star at it and think-think-think. Then I think about how stupid I am to have already forgotten what it means and it all comes rushing back to me.
I've been reading romance for such a long time that I always think everybody knows what TSTL means! I'll have to start spelling it out in my reviews.
can I complain/whine briefly - how it is that I literally have no job offers for 3 months, so I accept some temporary military orders and all of the sudden, I get 2 offers in 3 days - ahhhh!! the offers are both contingent ones right now - so i'm hoping to know more next week, but super fustrating
its just fustrating - I might see if I cancel the military orders - but then i'll feel guilty because the other guy who had them before me also got offered a job and had to pull out of them...lol!
Omg I am so excited - my notifications have changed so that they have the actual message being posted and they keep coming even if I haven't visited the site. Is this a new setting for GR?
I do like the one offer and its a 3 year contract - making just over what I was making in the military - and a closer commute - the customer (big Navy) has final approval over hiring, so the offer is continent on their approval right now - so I just have to wait and cross my fingers - the 2 recruiters and the project manager I interviewed with seem to think i fit the billbut I don't want to cancel the Navy orders yet and then have this job fall through

Okay, so last night the hubby did an impromptu taking me out to this cool night of swing bands. We used to do that a ton before the child was born. And it was great. Except, as I looked around the hall, I realized that I could be the mom of half of the people there. And not even in a teen mom kind of way... Sigh...
LOL Tellulah. Age is irrelevant, right? Just close your eyes and enjoy. :) But I do know what you mean.
Tellulah wrote: "Dee wrote: "can I complain/whine briefly - how it is that I literally have no job offers for 3 months, so I accept some temporary military orders and all of the sudden, I get 2 offers in 3 days - a..."Its for a government contract - since most non military positions are handled that way - and it is really hard to break into the federal gov't permanent employment system
Dee, i'm sending you good job vibes. That's so hard. Honestly I send a little thankful prayer everyday that my hubby who's job is very closely associated with home building here in California has kept his job. Tellulah, I bet everyone didn't think you could be there mom... haha! I can never tell how old people are, it's seriously a fault of mine.
Has a day away from the kids with my SIL, we went shopping and bought mostly stuff for our guys... We finally get all the boys to try on their new stuff and we bought everyone the wrong size. LMAO!!! Total fail! The outlets are an hour away so guess we're all going to have to go back. Note to self: Next time just buy stuff for yourself haha!
Shopping is always fun...and returning items is just another reason to do more shopping! We had a busy weekend so I had no time to read. My hub's fam was visiting from Central Cali. So, we BBQ'd all weekend and went to the city...union square, pier 39, fisherman's wharf, etc. The kids definitely had fun. I hope to get back to reading today.
Regina wrote: "DG I hate those days. Did you get your iPhone?"It's on the mail. Supposedly it should get here next week.
I'm soo tired of my job. I need a break of doing nothing for at least a couple of weeks. Every day is a struggle just to get here.
The Boston stuff is mind blowing - no pun intended. I guess we've been taking our safety for granted again, huh? Time to be hyper-vigilant again. So sad for all those involved...Fighting a horrible, awful, making-me-crazy cold/bronchitis thing right now. I headed off to southern Utah to a great B&B that I love for a long weekend and ended up sick there. Thankfully 1) I know the owners really well and they took great care of me, and 2) my BFF came up Saturday and we did a couple of fun things and she helped me drive home Sunday. But my house is all sick... I should have known, right?
You KNOW I'm sick when I don't feel well enough to read... and I can only read an hour or less at a time right now. Ugh.
Thanks for creating this group!

I wish we all lived in a world where we could take our safety for granted.
The unseen emotional damage to those there and those not there ...us...is a big concern.. Trust. It batters away at trust of other unknown people. On this site I have met so many wonderful.unknown people who have enriched my life.
