Lori (lorimcd) Leea, are you liking "To Sin With A Viking"? I got turned down by Harlequin at Netgalley... for some reason, I guess I don't fit Harlequin's profile or something, 'cuz they seem to automatically turn down all my requests.

Anyway, I see that To Sin with a Viking (Forbidden Vikings, #1) by Michelle Willingham is due out July 23rd. Wondering if it's worth a pre-order? What do you think?

Leea | 1437 comments Netgalley - there's not rime or reason sometimes. I swear!!

Let me finish it and i'll let you know :)

D.G. Marcella! The hero of Psy-Changeling #13 was announced and it's VASIC!

(I don't remember which one is he...the Traveler or the Medic? I'll have to check the end of HoO to find out.)

Regina (reginar) | 1447 comments I started reading Starglass by Phoebe North and it is amazing. I have had it from Edelweiss for months and months and I can't believe I waited. It is beautiful, well written - I was nervous since I am GR friends with the author. But this is an amazingly well done book.

That's so awesome! He is the traveler. Do we know when it will be released?

Ian (setaian) | 640 comments Am kind of at a loose end. I'll finish up The Dr Pepper Prophecies tonight. I just finished White Trash Zombie Apocalypse.

Am going to start Tell the Wolves I'm Home which has some pretty good reviews. But I'm feeling like a rudderless ship. Not sure what to read next.

The Dr Pepper Prophecies by Jennifer Gilby Roberts White Trash Zombie Apocalypse (White Trash Zombie, #3) by Diana Rowland Tell the Wolves I'm Home by Carol Rifka Brunt

message 1857: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) | 1447 comments I loved Tell The Wolves I'm Home. It was one of my favorite reads in 2012.

message 1858: by Courtney (new)

Courtney | 159 comments Finished Catch a Mate by Gena Showalter , which had its funny moments and it redeemed itself towards the end, so probably a 3.5 for me!

Now I'm going to start Dream Island (Akora, #1) by Josie Litton !

I almost started Tell the Wolves I'm Home too but it sounds like an emotional ride so I need to wait for the right mood.

Can't wait to hear what you think Ian.

message 1860: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) | 1447 comments It is emotional.

I just finished Starglass by Phoebe North -- and wow!! Just beautiful. I need the sequel now.

Wow! They're books I'm just about to start. Into the Light is my very next book and I'm reasonably sure I'll get to Angelfall sometime next week.

message 1866: by Leea, Escape Artist (new)

Leea | 1437 comments Join us Ian for our buddy read :) We're going to chat about it in the Western Historical romance thread.

I'm starting Into the Light tomorrow morning on the way to Half Moon bay for the day of beach and fun!

message 1867: by Lori (new)

Lori (lorimcd) In honor of our nation's birthday, I'm going on a SEAL/Troubleshooters glut... worked my way through Force of Nature (Troubleshooters, #11) by Suzanne Brockmann , All Through the Night A Troubleshooter Christmas (Troubleshooters, #12) by Suzanne Brockmann , When Tony Met Adam (Troubleshooters, #12.5) by Suzanne Brockmann , and just finished Into the Fire (Troubleshooters, #13) by Suzanne Brockmann .

I'm a little worn out from Into the Fire... and WHO is supposed to be (view spoiler). So much happened in that book... and it seemed to be a very action-packed, long book!

I'll be worn out this weekend trying to write the reviews. But I'm on a roll and can't seem to stop!

message 1868: by Lori (new)

Lori (lorimcd) Hey Mods... maybe we should have a Troubleshooters thread to talk about those books? I know ya'll have most likely read them all, but I'm rounding third base headed towards home plate, and I've got questions!

I almost didn't place Will Schroeder (sp?) in All Through The Night. He was familiar, but it didn't click for quite awhile.

Too funny Ian! Glad you are joining us to discuss Light.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) | 862 comments Finished The Crimson Crown (Seven Realms, #4) by Cinda Williams Chima and loved it. Started Time Between Us (Time Between Us, #1) by Tamara Ireland Stone and so far it's sweet. About to start Days of Blood & Starlight (Daughter of Smoke & Bone #2) by Laini Taylor .

message 1874: by Ian (new)

Ian (setaian) | 640 comments Oh....you haven't read Days of Blood & Starlight. Parts of this book made me very uncomfortable....I think you'll love it.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) | 862 comments I'd started it before when the book first came out but ended up putting it aside for a scheduled read and just never got back to it.

Uncomfortable, huh? I'm curious to see what you mean. Just the same as I'm curious to see how you're going to feel about a certain scene in Angelfall.

message 1876: by Ian (last edited Jul 06, 2013 10:53PM) (new)

Ian (setaian) | 640 comments I'm thinking I'll start Angelfall this week, but I've worked myself into a bit of a tizz and now I'm a bit nervous. It's like going to the dentist. Sitting in the chair is never as bad as sitting in the waiting room.

D.G. I'm listening to Feral Sins (The Phoenix Pack, #1) by Suzanne Wright . Holy Moses, this book is HOT!!

I think I'll also start Under the Never Sky (Under the Never Sky, #1) by Veronica Rossi for the Bingo shelf.

I loved both of those books, UTNS especially. For some reason, I'm thinking you won't like UTNS though. I don't know why. I'll be curious to see how it works for you.

The second didn't in a bad place, so I'm kinda excited to read book 3.

Gwennie (blessedwannab) | 1116 comments That's exactly what I hope too!

message 1887: by Lori (new)

Lori (lorimcd) So glad that you two (Leea and Wendy) are finishing Dan's and Vlad's story. I can't read it again... I just can't. Is this the last part? It's got it's rough spots, too. And you *know* how I feel about Jean! (UGH!) But you have to read it - you have to finish it! Is there a thread where we can chat about it?

message 1888: by Gwennie, Mrs. Bookworm (new)

Gwennie (blessedwannab) | 1116 comments Yeah, we made a thread. It's here:
http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/1...

We're actually on Soldiers part 2, so we have 2 more books to go.

message 1889: by Marcella (new)

Marcella (marcella6) | 436 comments Vadim and Dan do break my heart and its no different in the third book. This book focuses on Vadim's struggles with what happened to him in prison. I just love these two men. They get under my skin. I have the same affection for them as I do the BDB Brothers.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) | 862 comments I finished Time Between Us (Time Between Us, #1) by Tamara Ireland Stone and I haven't loved a YA contemp romance this much since Anna and the French Kiss. It wasn't the best writing out there but it was so simplistically simple and beautiful that I fell in love with the book. There was no stupid drama or silly angst or love triangles. It was just a lovely story about two people and the constraints of time which might separate them.

I almost don't want to read anything else right now.

message 1891: by Leea, Escape Artist (new)

Leea | 1437 comments That's the best feeling, i'll have to look into this book.

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) | 862 comments It's been a good week for me and romance, which is normally where I struggle the most with finding good books.

Time Between Us was the sweet I was looking for, and My Stone Lover was the perfect short and sexy read.

I'm almost nervous now. Usually, I get a few bad books after a few good ones.

D.G. Stacia ~ Vixen of Variety wrote: "I loved both of those books, UTNS especially. For some reason, I'm thinking you won't like UTNS though. I don't know why. I'll be curious to see how it works for you. "

I enjoyed Feral Sins (The Phoenix Pack, #1) by Suzanne Wright - those love scenes were so freaking hot...specially in audio! - but I got tired at the end with all the heroine's quips (some were funny but they were just too many) and her insistence of fighting the hero every second of the day. I'll listen to the next one though when I'm a smutty audio mood. :)

I'm a bit confused about UTNS...some of the terms haven't been explained properly so I haven't gotten the gist of some things yet. But I'm at the part where Aria and Perry just meet again so hopefully things get better for me.

BTW...I just started listening to In Bed with a Highlander (McCabe Trilogy, #1) by Maya Banks and I was laughing my ass off when I realized the plot was almost the same as Feral Sins (The Phoenix Pack, #1) by Suzanne Wright but with highlanders instead of shifters!

message 1894: by Regina (new)

Regina (reginar) | 1447 comments LOL, it is true. :) #2 was fun but I liked #1 better, but stil liked #2 - -the thing about Banks and Wright's books for me is they are a perfect escape for when I am in the mood. I don't think too much about the plot holes or the questions, I just enjoy the ride because they are hot and fun. But I can't read them all the time if that makes sense.

I am really enjoying reading Into the Light by Ellen O'Connell It is a slow build. I am loving it.

I am enjoying the narration of The 5th Wave (The Fifth Wave, #1) by Rick Yancey , I am not sure I would have enjoyed reading it as much. It is very hollywood and I think it would amke a great movie.

LOL, I know what you mean. I get in those moods where all I want is something light and fun. That's why I'm enjoying the Banks, even though it's weird having almost the same plot back to back! But I'm having a blast enjoying the differences too. :)

message 1900: by Lori (new)

Lori (lorimcd) Finished off the Troubleshooters series... man, that was tough! I have a slew of reviews to write!

Since Wendy & Leea are reading Part II of Mercenaries with Dan & Vadim, I decided to get Deliverance Hooch and Matt's Story by Marquesate which is Hooch's and Matt's story. Don't know if I'll like it as much, since I wasn't hot on Matt. But love me some Hooch! LOL!
