message 43: by Jan (new)

Jan Ferrierr | 4 comments I say my books Amethyst Series - first being The Children With The Sky In Their Eyes out on Amazon are Game Of Thrones genre, in that they are medieval fantasy. There the similarity ends.
I love G.R.R.Martin very much and would recommend the books to anyone. He is a big fan of Machiavelli's The Prince and it shows in his books. The man is a wonderful writer.
My second recommendations would be anything by Simon Scarrow, particularly his series on Napoleon and Wellington. His Eoman Maxeo and Caro books are exciting too and his Sword and Scimitar is set in Malta in Elizabethan times.
Hope those are something for everyone.
