These books have both mesmerized & fascinated me. Maybe some of it is living near or having visited some of the settings.

Know how you feel and the audiobook performance just makes it even better.

Jonetta-I'm blown away by this series. A series about someone who sees ghosts doesn't sound all that inviting to me but I am so glad I didn't skip it. And yes, the narrator just pulls you into it. Her voice really does set the ominous atmosphere that is alive in these books. Almost finished with The Prophet!

Is it still tedious?

And then you'll have to wait:(

Oh, yes. I believe the author's husband died last year so she's been on hiatus from the series. It's definitely not complete.

So I read the first few pages of You Belong to Me only to realize that I have already read this book. Now to decide if i should reread it since it is part of the series and familiarize myself with the book or if i should just go on to the next. decisions decisions

I enjoyed it and hope you do, too. It was a group read in the Linda Howard group. If you read it, check out the book discussion. It was interesting.

Where'd you end up with it? Did it get better?

@Jonetta, it finally started getting good about 300 pages in. I liked the way it ended but wouldn't be surprised if another book is on the way. The author left a few small strings dangling that I think could lead to another story.
finished imitation in death and I have to start hot blooded by Lisa Jackson before I can read Cop Town.

Sandra wrote: "And my tbr list just got bigger! I've had Beg on my list for awhile now so I guess I'll jump onboard. At least these are short! Thanks, Penni."They are short. Written as a serial - but I think a well done serial.
You can get the first 3 in a book and the next 3 in a book now for a little cheaper (although the first one in each mini series is free).
Sandra wrote: "I'm not normally a big fan of serials. But I'll give it a shot. Thanks."I'm not either. However, each installment is a decent length, and there is a total of 7 instead of 45 or something. So, I didn't have as much of a problem with it.
I finished The Homecoming by Robyn Carr and here's my review.
I'm now reading The Last Temptation by Val McDermid
