I just finished
- Wow! Another dark, emotional roller coaster ride. I really want to hate these books that rip my heart out but in the end, I love them and the author for writing books that evoke such strong emotions. I tried to start another book today but can't let go of RAW yet.

Oh yeah...but this one is also different from Consequences or Dark Duet series. Certainly not a traditional type HEA but a very emotional book worthy of my 5 stars.
I just finished
- my first by Linda Howard. Love the humor and what a great heroine. And Sam's not bad either! ;)

One of my favorites and I'm happy you love it, too.

I did love it, Jonetta. Love Linda Howard's writing style!
As for RAW - It's dark but that's a relative term so...It's different from Consequences in that everything is consensual, no forced acts. But the first 1/2 of the book, I was screaming at her "Are you crazy?!" Then in the 2nd half, I fell for him and was pulling for them. Can't talk about the ending without spoilers so it's hard to tell you about it. Definitely not typical. I'm trying to finish a review and I'll post a link. Just don't think I can do it justice. But then that's me...you know how I love dark reads that push the boundaries and make me emotional.

Fans of RAW are split into two teams: 1) Screaming for a sequel that will give a hea and 2)No sequel - it ended as it should as not everything in life has a hea. Since I love HEA's, I'm Team 1.

Yay Penni! I'm waiting for you to finish so we can discuss it. After a couple of days, I think I can finally talk about it.

Listening to
today, will be trying to finish reading
LOL! Just heard on BBC that scientists think Saturn is going to "give birth" to its newest moon - nicknamed Peggy!
I finished Cold Day in Hell by Jerrie Alexander and here's my review.
I'm now reading The Day He Kissed Her by Juliana Stone.
I'm now reading The Day He Kissed Her by Juliana Stone.
Finished Nova by Samuel R. Delany yesterday. Great classic sci-fi.Reading Salvage the Bones by Jesmyn Ward and listening to Death Comes to Pemberley by P.D. James
just started reading Busted by Karin Slaughter. its a short story so wont take me long and hopefully I'll be able to start Unseen tonight
Just finished Lover Awakened...really good! I have to take a little break from the Brotherhood to read some books for review but I'll be back!
I finished The Day He Kissed Her by Juliana Stone and really liked it. I hope it's not the last book in the series.
I'm now reading Hope Flames by Jaci Burton.

Did you like Tangled? I thought it was kinda cute, but not as good as the hype was. Let me know what you think of The Collector. I'm not as big a fan of the Nora Roberts books.
Yeah I loved Tangled. Just because you don't get the focus of the hero's POV that often. Plus Drew says what's on his mind, no filter. So that was the fun part as well.
I listened to Tangled and the audiobook was pretty special. Loved it and as Quynh said, the hero's POV made a difference.
Yeah, I agree - I loved the POV. I just thought it would be better from the hype. Hey! What about an "In Death" from Roarke's or Summerset's POV?(Or even Galahad's?)
I just read a book from a cat's POV. I would love one from Galahad. But I'm not sure if he ever leaves that mansion he lives in lol.
so I finally finished Hide by Lisa Gardner....I am glad I pushed through and didnt give up on the book. It turned out to be a good book just very slow for me in the beginning. I have decided to continue on with the series and will start on The Neighbor todAy. At some point this weekend I will start on Unseen which is the last one in the Will Trent series until 2015. The thought of having to wait a year for the next book is gonna kill me lol
Sheri, I love how you're reading your series back to back. It's my favorite way to read my books.
Yes, me to! Loved Clive and the part he plays in this book. Pretty cute to have his thoughts closing the story! I'm looking forward to book 2.
I just finished listening to The King by J.R. Ward (loved it) and am now listening to Just One Look by Harlan Coben.
Just finished The Neighbor and have to say it was the best in this series thus far. It kept my interest throughout the entire book unlike the first 2 books. Now I am going to start the next book Live To Tell

I dnf'd it the first time I tried reading it. I just finished it last night and still wasn't crazy about it. I like getting the male POV but I didn't like his rambling on and on to me, the reader...talking straight to me. Drove me batty! I liked the story but not the delivery.

And that's what I loved! The audiobook narrator nailed the character, IMHO....:)
It's always so interesting to me how the thing that works so well for one just falls apart for someone else.

LOL...yes it is! I thought the rambling/chatter/talk was carried too far. I found it distracting and ended up skimming long passages of it to get to the story. I would have liked it...just less of it. :)
I took Drew to be exactly what he was...a user who did believe he was God's gift to women and I loved seeing him brought to his knees by one woman! I liked the story but not the delivery.
yes, that's how I took Drew also, which is why I didn't like him. Did like he got brought to his knees. I referred to him throughout most the book, affectionately of course, as *sshole or jack*ss :-)I did love the direct nature of his talk though. I thought it fit well. It showcased his personality to a 'T'.
It did showcase his personality...I agree. It just rambled a bit too much for me and - I actually found it a little hard to believe for a man such as himself to "talk" that way. Some of it was almost childish...reminded me more of a teenage girl chattering more than a hot, sexy, executive type badboy.
