I haven't read it, Nikki. Let us know what you think.
I'm currently reading one of our books of the month
and have mixed feelings at this point.

Okay...what choice do I have now but to read
??? I have other books I should be reading but the last 50 or so pages of Consequences doomed me to this!

I have other reading commitments but now I need to know what happens...and everyone is telling me even more happens in Truth plus a lot of things begin to make sense and come together. Here I go...
I'm going to have to double up...I've got some Br's and MR's I've got to get to also. But I've got to wade into Truth. Series suck me in like this all the time. But I will say, this one is a different animal altogether. I expected a dark read similar to the Dark Duet but they are nothing alike at all. I had a lot more emotional attachment to the DD. But I'm intrigued to know what else happens in this one.

Ditto to everything you said:)

Book 4, In His Eyes, comes out Jan. 14. And it's supposed to be more than just a retelling of Consequences from Tony's POV. I'll probably read it later. I didn't want to be sucked into this series right now & didn't think I was going to be at first. I have to agree with everyone else - Truth is much better than Consequences and has surprised me already.

Okay, J. I'm zipping it up. Really - you can skip it...you're not missing a thing - honestly! LOL Actually, I think you'll really like Truth. I can't say about Convicted yet or the ending.
Wow Dawn! I'm impressed! It's a series I want to try in the future. You're moving on through it! How many books are there in that series?

That's another one I'm having to delay for now. Book #3 is next for me.
Sandra, I KNOW you're kidding:)

Dawn, I don't get a lot of TV in and read a lot! It's just that the 500+ page books take too long for me to finish and meet my commitments for group reads, NetGalley obligations, etc. *sigh*
I finished Hell or High Water by Jerrie Alexander and really liked it! Didn't realize it was the start of a series, though, but am glad about it.
I'm now starting To the Limit by Cindy Gerard before I deviate from my plan and read Truth.

Finishing up Truth and may I say there are some real revelations in this one. All is not as it seems. Heading straight into Convicted next!

"Inferno" was good too, but probably not quite as good as the others. But it definitely had some twists and turns I wasn't expecting!!!!
I'm now reading
. I'm not sure I've ever read a series with this many twists and turns in it. I'm listening to Loyal on audio.

Looks like you're hooked into that series Sandra. Is the content dark? Like mess with your head kind of thing?
I'm on

Been there! I miss the Brotherhood!

I'll come back to this series just as much as In Death for rereads!
Quynh, this is touted as a "dark" read but it hits me more as a psychological thriller...full of suspense and surprises and trying to figure out what the heck is going on. The first book is "dark", I guess (not by my standards). This author indicates some bad things being done but doesn't go into a lot of description beyond a slap across the face and letting you know worse happens but not in descriptive detail (I could have actually used a bit more detail at this point). She skirts the issue - the sex is not even very descriptive. And once you leave book 1, the rest are suspense/thriller/bit of a mystery with trying to figure out who the mastermind of it all is. Very compelling and intriguing.
If you start it, just remember that, imo, Consequences is the weakest of the 3 books although it's necessary, I guess, to set up everything that happens thereafter. It's heavy in scenery descriptions that bogged it down for me. But then the last part happens which led me to start book 2, Truth, and wow...blown away then!
Everyone might not agree with me about it being more of a suspense thriller, I don't know. But, for me, it turned into that with book 2. It challenged me to figure this whole thing out and when I think I have, it takes a different turn!
Also, as I said, this isn't a real dark read to me, but then I've read some very dark ones so compared to those, this one is not.

I'm close to finished with
. What a tangled web!! I love a challenge and these books are just that...especially after the first one. I did not expect to get hooked into reading the series when I started this book of the month but here I am!

I finished this a few days ago but just finished the review.
Hell or High Water by Jerrie Alexander
My Review
I'm now reading The Last Clinic: A Darla Cavannah Mystery by Gary Gusick. I go home tomorrow and plan to read Truth over the weekend. Too many interruptions at my Mom's:)

I finished listening to The Ocean at the End of the Lane by Neil Gaiman (see my review) and am now listening to Tangled by Emma Chase.

I'm just starting so it's too early to judge. I do like having the story told from the male POV.
Yes, I found that to be different. I'm sure I'll finish it...just had other books at the time that I had to read/review and it didn't grab me hard enough to hold my attention at the time.
