J.D. Robb discussion

What are you reading?
Well, personally, I've read a lot of Nora Roberts aka J.D. Robb these past four to five months. After reading more than a dozen In Death books, I stopped at Chaos In Death (haven't read it yet) to take a breath from the series and started reading The MacGregor series. Yesterday I finished The Winning Hand
and now I'm halfway through The MacGregor Grooms
. I have only one book to go and I'm done with the series, which is absolutely great and really worths reading! Also I've read the Marriage to a Billionaire series by Jennifer Probst.
Howard you enjoying The MacGregor series? Also, I've been tempted to read Jennifer Probst...what's your opinion of her?
I've only read the Marriage to a Billionaire series from her, but I really liked her style. She gives her story without boring you with too many details or a great lack of dialog and her books urge you to keep reading (they made it really hard for me to focus on my homework while reading them!). Also, the books of this series were almost equally interesting and fascinating, they didn't start to get boring or lose their "magic" with each book like it happens so often with series, you know.... I, personally, liked her style and highly recommend her.
I've really been enjoying Sarah Addison Allen's books. They're all light hearted and intriguing. I've read 3 so far and had a hard time putting them down (holding kindle, stirring marinara sauce, walking around the lake, etc.).
I will start re-reading JD Robb series, and also want to read more Janet Evanovich. I also loved reading Getting to Happy by Terry McMillan and will probably read that again too.
Looking forward to Whiskey Beach and Thankless in Death. This year I would like to also read more of Nora's older books like Hidden Star and the MacGregor series. I like her supernatural stories, like the Hollow Series too. If anyone can recommend anything similar that would be much appreciated (no animal cruelty please).
Oh! And the new NR series taking place in Ireland - can't remember the name....

Yes! That's the one, thanks Jonetta! Sounds really really good!
I've been going through my in death reread/catch up and reading tons of stuff! Starting Patricia Briggs alpha & omega series and Jennifer Estep elemental assassins to mention a couple.
I've read Jennifer Estep's superhero-spoof series (Karma Girl is the first one)... and they were HILARIOUS! What is the Elemental Assassin series like? Is it funny (along with assassin-y)?The Bridgertons: Happily Ever After just came out, so I'm rereading the entire Bridgerton series (all 8 of them!) and then reading the corresponding 2nd epilogues after each book! I LOVE that series!!! Julia Quinn is AMAZING! Hers are some of the only books I automatically buy without checking out from the library first! :)
Have you read the Happily Ever After? I have all eight of the books too, just wondering if this last one is good.
I am re reading the In Death series, starting Origins tonight. Vera, I love Patricia Briggs too. I finished Frostburned few days ago. It is her newest. Now there is another leading man you can fall for!
I've only read Daphne's story so far! I'll read anything by Julia though! And the Kindle book is currently on sale for $4.49! I bought the paperback, which is a TRADE paperback, by the way, so it's bigger than the Mass Market Paperbacks that the other 8 are... that kind of annoys me... Oh, and if you've read any of the 2nd epilogues (I think there are 5 or 6 of them out?), those are reprinted in this, plus the extra 2-3 and a short story about Lady (Violet) Brigderton.

Hmm Id say its a lot of action, kick butt female.
Thank you Sara for reminding me about the Bridgerton series, I completely forgot how much I loved them. Now re-reading them in order, and reading the 2nd epilogue associated with each.
I'm always reading Sandra Brown -- she reminds me the most of Nora Roberts more than any other author I've come across. I've got several Jodi Picoult novels I'm anxious to read this year, and I just finished an awesome book called "Attachments" by Rainbow Rowell -- SO cute, highly recommended! :-)
I'm reading Undeniably Yours
by Shannon Stacey. It's the second book in her Kowalski Family series, which I love.
I'm also listening to
by Harlan Coben, the 8th book in the Myron Bolitar series. I love this one, too, but this is the first of the audiobooks that isn't narrated by Jonathan Marosz and it's pretty bad (narrated by the author). I understand that Jonathan retired (there was a six-year span between this and the last book) and Harlan got so much grief for his awful narration that he hired Steven Weber for the remaining books. Good decision.

I recently finished reading Say You Love Me
by Johanna Lindsey and have started The Magic of You
also by Johanna Lindsey. They are both from the Malory-Anderson Family series.
Someone told us about a free book on Kindle a while back, so I got it. Now I am completely stuck on this series, which is older but good. I finished The Wild One and Beloved One. Am currently reading the Defiant One and then have to read The Wicked One, by Danelle Harmon.
It may have been me, Dawn. I discovered this series early last year and posted EVERYWHERE about it. I'm THRILLED you're enjoying it:)
So far, I can say the Wild One has been my favorite. The others are 4.99 on Amazon, so I am able to read them all without going broke lol.
I just down loaded The Wild One. I just finished the Hot Vampire Kiss series along with the Warewolf series by Lisa Jones but I wasn't thrilled the storyline really Bites. (teehee. no pun intended) Its not worth reading if you have a list of other books to read. I look forward to reading the wild one
Few days ago I finished reading the Malory - Anderson Family Series and loved it! At least the first 7 books that are about the Malorys; the others didn't have so good reviews and the stories didn't interest me much and so I decided not to risk it...It's a great historical-romance series by Johanna Lindsey and I totally recommend it for the fans of this genre! The series starts with Love Only Once
.
Not a silly question. Do you see the "add book/author" right above the comment box to the right? Click on that and it allows you to search for the book. Once the book appears, at the very bottom, you have the option of using the title hyperlinked or the cover. Try it...test it out here.
Lol I will have to write something next time. Thanks Jonetta. Anyway, this is the first in the series following the DeMontforte brothers. The hero is Christian Lord, who is introduced in The Wicked One. It is good, not fantastic, but good enough for me to want to continue the series.
Yes, it is all your fault I became addicted lol. I am slowing down and just getting one book per pay period, but on kindle they are only 4.99 each, so not too bad. The Wicked One, is probably the best freebie I have ever read.
I am rereading several series in preparation for the latest releases. Nalini Singhs Psy-changeling series and the Guildhunter series is out soon..... really excited about that.
Christine Feehans leopards prey and her next installment of the Carpathian series.
Kayalana Prices grave witch series- the latest is out soon.
The next In Death novel of course.
Sherrilyn Kenyons Styxx is out this year.
I'm sure there is a lot of other books I'm waiting on but those are the top ones for me. :-)
OMG you guys! I just read (listened to) When Beauty Tamed the Beast
by Eloisa James.HOLY CRAP. IT WAS AWESOME! If you like House M.D. (the show) and historical romances, this book was tailor-made for you! (Like it was for me!) The hero is like a cross between Hugh Laurie as Gregory House and Hugh Laurie as Mr. Palmer (Sense & Sensibility), except he's an Earl and heir to a Dukedom, of course. Haha... :) It rocked!!!
Since I am currently caught up on the in death series I have decided to try some of Nora roberts books..I haven't read much of her stuff. I just finished the Three Sisters Island Trilogy and Now I am currently Hot Rocks and The Search
Sheri, I loved her Born series. Born in Fire, Born in Ice and Born in Shame. They are set in Ireland.
Sheri, If I could throw my 2 cents in here:)...
You've GOT to read her Chesapeake Bay Saga, beginning with Sea Swept. Next is the Gallaghers of Ardmore trilogy, beginning with Jewels of the Sun.
These two series seem to rise to the top of most peoples' lists, including my own, as fan favorites.
*sigh* Cam and Aidan:)

Speaking of Nora Jonetta...aren't you exhausted, moderating in both groups? I get tired just keeping up in here lol
I have three other partners in the NR group:) I've got one more major task to do and then it won't be so tough.
