Hi Everyone! And thanks for the invite, S. M. McEachern!I am an avid reader of YA, usually something fantasy, paranormal, or sci-fi. But it has to have romance. I'm a sucker for a good love story. I also write YA Fantasy, my debut novel comes out next month.
Thanks, Christopher. I'm a voracious and omnivorous reader and author. Bored rather easily, I like to mix things up. I cross genres all the time. Just read "Catherine the Great," by Massey followed by "Let the Great World Spin," and now a couple of erotic books as well as "The Warmth of Other Suns," which my book club, called The Muffia, is reading. Books are kind of like people. Life is richer when you expose yourself to all.

Hello to all and to all a good day. My name is Erich (remember the h at the end) I write fiction, well they call it fiction because you have to change names of the characters and some of the places. I am what you call a "Boomer" not the Australian kind, actually I am slightly older than a real Baby-Boomer. I write of some time spent in Africa, other time spent in the arctic, about some of the stories told by the elders. Many times I question the nominal name of a Genre, Boomer-lit, Supernatural usf I find these classifications just a bit to far reaching.
Hi! I'm Hannah and I love reading fantasy and science fiction most of all, but I also really enjoy classics, memoirs, and historical fictions, and any of those in the form of a graphic novel. I enjoy watching a lot of fantasy, sci-fi, drama, and musical films, along with a great amount of anime. I have a book review blog that I've been working on for about a year and a half and I work for a literary journal at my university. I look forward to being a part of Modern Good Reads :)
Hi, It's nice to join! I enjoy reading many authors, including Barnes, Borges, Murakami, and Saramago.
Hi, Alyssa here and I have always loved reading since I was a kid. I mostly don't prefer one genre but I like getting to read all kinds of books. Nice to meet you all!
Chris wrote: "Hi,Im Chris, I'm an audiobook producer and narrator, specialising in genre fiction..."So, when you read books for pleasure, do you read them out loud? :) Sorry, I've gotta know!
Seriously, though. That sounds like an awesome job. Looking forward to talking books with you!
Greetings! My name is Cindy and I like to read mysteries, historical fiction, some non fiction from time to time along with an occasional horror story and literary fiction. I just finished Rick Yancey's new book, The Fifth Wave, as well as Apocalypse Z. Nice to see you all and I hope we read and discover some really good books!
Hello, my name is Elle Chardou though I started publishing books under my real name, I now use a pen name. I am the author of many novels spread throughout several categories including New Adult, Women's Literature and Paranormal but they all have a romantic element running through them which is probably what links them at all.I am delighted to join this group and feel honored I was invited. Thank you so much and I hope to contribute positively to this group as a reader and an author (but mostly a reader). I inhale books and when I am not writing, I am usually reading!
Hi, my name is Michelle. I'm a happily married mother of a very active 2 year old boy who has been a bit obsessed with books and reading from a very young age. Due to running my own business around caring for my little man I don't get half the time to read anymore that I used to but still get my fix by hanging out on Goodreads whenever I can.I love to read mainly thrillers and mystery novels but will give practically anything a go if it looks appealing enough.
The best part of this site and groups like this one is how many books I have been introduced to that I would never have even looked twice at before.
I'm a refugee from my for my former life in London, now guiding gorilla safaris in the heart of Africa. Day jobs don't get much better but business has been slow, so I write action adventure novels by night. My reading preferences are limited to whatever I can find in local bookstores or download without a credit card, but given the choice I thoroughly enjoy thrillers set in exotic locations.
Hi everyone! My name is Téa Cooper and I write Australian historical and contemporary romance and that's pretty much what I like to read too - with a rapidly growing bias towards anything historical...that isn't Regency!
Hello everyone! My name is Tom and I'm an avid reader and writer of fantasy, plus some sci-fi on the side of course. My favorite book is 1984(leftover from my high school reading list) and my favorite writer is Joe Abercrombie, author of the First Law series. I'm a U.S. Army officer currently deployed in Afghanistan, and am therefore locked in a near-perpetual state of boredom. Expect lots of posts from me. Look forward to being a member of your community!

I mostly read horror, fantasy, gothics and all sorts of nonfiction about things like history, science and psychology The things I write are generally influenced by those interests.
Good morning everyone and thanks for the invitation. I'm an author, writing mostly romance, but also women's fiction. I even have a cute little nursery rhyme out. I'm a native Minnesotan (yes, our yard is buried in new snow today), I have a wonderful family, and I'm also a professional copywriter. I look forward to getting to readers and other authors. I'm not interested in seeing this group into a promotional superhighway so I am very interested in playing by the rules!

Hi. My name is Anna and I am a newly published author but not a new writer as I have been writing professionally for 14 years now. Mostly, I love to read. I currently am into reading romantic suspense, historical and paranormal but depending on what catches my attention will read other genres too.
Hi Chris! Thanks for the invite! I'm Terry. My reading tastes tend to match my mood. lol. I love 60's history, non-fiction, adult romance, and the classics. Favorite writer for the current stuff is Sylvain Reynard,so you may see me commenting a lot to him and sharing book suggestions. I re-read a lot as well. Just did a reread of And the Band Played On. I can get into a good thriller, too.
Just joined. Have an e-book memoir, Coins in the Fountain, and now that I have sent my novel to an editor I have some time to be active in the group. Thanks for setting up this website
Hi everyone,I'm Jennifer. I'm an avid reader and aspiring author (one submission, hanging out for 'the call'). I love reading romance, paranormal, young adult, crime/suspense and historicals.

Hi Shirley, good to meet you!
Hi Everyone, I'm Jonathon and I read. I read pretty broadly. I've also read a lot more books over the years than I've nominated on my review-list so far (I'm working on that as time permits).I worked on On Dit - the University of Adelaide newspaper - for five years (where I cut my reviewing teeth) and I've had some poems published in periodicals, but nothing recently.
I'm currently chipping away at what will either be an RPG world-book or copious notes for some fantasy short stories, though that might not eventuate before retirement.
Currently reading Silver Lining Playbook by Matthew Quick (nearly finished and really enjoying); currently writing a Business Continuity Plan for my employer (barely started, please don't ask me about it).
Looking forward to the big ideas-exchange. Read on!
Jonathon
I'd be surprised if anyone reads this, the list is vast! However, if you do, I'm asking the moderators if I can offer mobi files of all my books for review?I write in variety of genres - please see my profile.

Greetings from the Dyslexic Author. My name is Brian K. Larson and I have struggled with dyslexia all my life. I never knew I had it until later in my adult life. Once I understood and began learning ways to cope with this disability, I was able to go back to college to obtain a degree. Six years later at age 50, I obtained my MBA in Business. With my newly found confidence, I decided to pursue my life long dream of writing a science fiction novel. It was challenging, but 15 months later my first manuscript was complete. I sent it to a publisher, picked up the phone and got in touch with the acquisitions director and told them my story. She told me that she would review my manuscript and get back to me in a few weeks. Three days later I received a call from the publishing company congratulating me on becoming a first time signed author.
My final goal is go ensure I raise dyslexia awareness so that others that suffer may understand and finally gain the hope that they can become successful.
