Really enjoyed the fact that Lady Glemire is left to guard against the servants having followers, only to obtain a follower herself. Also enjoyed the discussion on what the ladies of Cranford are supposed to call her once married.

Karel | 86 comments OH MY GOSH! LADY GLENMIRE IS GETTING MARRIED!!! Yes, I was as astonished as the Cranford ladies. I also relate with the use old clothes in your house and if someone arrives you have to run and put something more dignified.

Also, I found that was really loyal and kind that the ladies waited for the aproval of Mrs Jamieson before they visit L.Glenmire, even when L.Glenmire is nicer and a better company.

But seriously, L. Glenmire is getting married!!! :O

It appears that you are enjoying the book more than you did at the start.

Oh yes, I confess I am. After I got over the fact of the unknown narrator, the lack of sarcasm and got the hang of the humor I was able to enjoy myself a loooot. (And apparently I am a sucker for gossips haha)

And you should have seen the look I got for reading this book on a public space and the loud gasp I made when I read the marriage news hehe. Oh, dear lord, I´m definitely being absorbed in this book and now I´m telling details of vanal stories ;D

I'm glad you have enjoying it more. I know about public spaces. I remember crying hard while reading on a train (a different book). Can be quite embarrassing.
