Buddy Reads Requests

I'm not sure of the 'manners' here...Do the mods mind if we set this up and did this as a buddy read even though it has been read already by the group?"
Eeerrrm honestly that questions hasn't come up before. I know we don't want reads done for future scheduled books but for books after they've been read .... let me know get back to you.

@Anima - How about June? I haven't worked out my reading schedule yet but we can just start at the beginning of the month and see how our reading pace takes us?

@An..."
I think adding to the current thread would be the best. Plus people who have already read the book (like me :)) might give you their perspective...
Karen - As Vanessa said above please use the current thread. Maybe if you'd started reading it a few months after then a buddy read would work but as it's so close to the group read, I think it's best to just contribute to the current thread.

I just left a note on the existing thread here so the group that has already read it doesn't wonder why we suddenly start leaving new comments! :)
Are you able to squish it in to your schedule in June? If we start the 3rd June and try and read around 50 pages a day?

And I thought I was bad scheduling one in October! ;)
@Cathie - true! I give books a 2 stars when it's a bit meh and usually up it to 3 if it has merit. Means I have alot of books with 3 stars though...lol

I also find scheduling things frees up my mind to know it will get done, and then I can do other things without the worry of thinking, I need to do that. Scheduling actually seems to always grant me "more" time :-) (This should probably be in the Time Keepers thread, lol)
Lynn - No kidding! But we have so many buddy reads scheduled already. We're going to be busy readers!

Thank you for creating a thread on HG :), I'm starting it with you in June :)

As you may have guessed I want to succeed (I need 5 more, yay)!
Personally, I have many books from the gcac that I want to read but lets start with two (maybe one in August and one in September?). What about The Selection

Vanessa wrote: "@Lynn: Was it good?"
Because of the subject matter I expected to feel a lot more emotion when reading it but it felt slightly detached. However it was a good read nonetheless, I gave it 4 stars.

The Selection is on my tbr so I'll join if you choose August (ideally mid August because already reading 5th Wave at the beginning) rather than September ..... September is my busiest month of the year for me and I'll be MIA somewhat from this place.
How will you cope without me? ;o)

Sorry for asking, but what snortsnickers are?
It's a snort and a snicker done at the same time :)
(This is assuming that you know what a snort is and what a snicker is?)

I often follow you around the boards deleting your double posts Anima lol
