So google is giving me nothing for this one even though I'm pretty sure it's a YA book from the mid-90's. I remember the cover featured the twin sisters that it's about and most importantly that they were fraternal twins that looked nothing alike. One sister was lacing up her sneakers and the other was flipping her hair or something. I remember that one sister blossomed earlier than the other and dated a lot of boys, while the other was having a bit of a crisis because she hadn't gotten her period yet and didn't want to date and I think was also a bit of a tomboy. Possibly part of her crisis was due to her sister trying to pressure her into dating and they didn't get along because they were so different. I also think she wanted to be on the track team?

I remember one scene later on where the tomboy twin gets her first period and she nearly has a meltdown until her sister tells her what's going on.

Valerie (veegood) | 248 comments This sounds really familiar. Was it from one of those high school series? Like the Sweet Valley High type ones. (Obviously not actually Sweet Valley High, but one of the other series like it) I'll have a search and see what I come up with.

I don't think it was a part of any series, just an independent story. I could be wrong though.

Looked through those and it's not listed. I remember getting it through the Scholastic book fair as a kid so I wouldn't think it's all that obscure.
