I said I was going to read you bedtime story. :P
I think that book would have us both screaming from the start. ☺ I don't think that 'safety in numbers' would work here. In my case it would be 'insomnia guaranteed' for the rest of my life.

Cool Text: Logo and Graphics Generator

If you were 'tagging' books as read last night, please make sure they are on your designated Tower Teams Reading Challenge shelf. Since Alice (the girl in the chair that appears when the system is over capacity) kept appearing, we are finding a lot of books didn't get 'tagged.'

The best way is to compare your main GRs challenge (if you've joined) with your "view books" page of your Team's Home Page Challenge.

❀Tea❀ (ttea) | 9624 comments Hello Hobbits.

Mods put out preliminary idea for September challenge for additional books.
Basically we need to read 90 books as a team. But there is a catch: all books need to be a part of the NBRC challenges. Part of them have to come from A Book a Day Keeps the Boredom at Bay Reading Challenge, some from one of A-Z challenges and some from some other challenge from NBRC group.

If you need list of challenges:
Reading Challenges Index
Monthly/Seasonal Challenges Index
There'll be more challenges by that time :D

As I said this is preliminary. We don't know everything (or anything) yet. I've given you this only so those who plan reading upfront can work it out.

Turtlecollector Dennis | 1164 comments I don't think it has to be so evenly split between the 3 challenges. There is an animal alphabet challenge that could potentially use all the books, but I think you may have to have at least 9 from each challenge. I am asking for clarification.

No, it doesn't have be even, but at the moment all need to be from challenges (I'm working on that! ☺).
This way was easier to explain at the moment. As I said I just put it so those who plan their reading can do it.

First of all, I LOVE ALL THINGS LISA KLEYPAS. She is the TRUTH! Harry was the a villian I hated as much as I hated St. Vincent (Sebastian) but as only LK can, she redeemed him.
Poppy seemed like such a ninny, but she had a backbone.
Great book!

Tangled by Emma Chase was good, but I warn you. Being inside the male mind is not a comfortable place. It is a funny place because it is such a shallow pool, but it was an entertaining book

Do you mean the book has to fit into one of those catergories from that challenge, or do we need to pick a book someone actually read in that challenge?

The book has to fit one of the categories in the challenge, not be one someone has actually read. It is as if the team is competing together to complete the challenge, but we do not need to finish it.

message 1179: by Turtlecollector Dennis (last edited Jul 26, 2013 12:28PM) (new)

Turtlecollector Dennis | 1164 comments I am thinking the team should go with Animal Alphabet Challenge for the A to Z challenge. That will give us a lot of options since it is a spell out challenge, and we would probably only have to have 9 books from each of the other two challenges. Spell out challenges are usually easier to fit our books with such a wide variety of reading speeds.

We do not have to complete a challenge, just make progress on it.

❀Tea❀ (ttea) | 9624 comments We opened a thread for our August game to keep easier track. If you have any question about it, please post it there. And reserve your posts if you are playing.

You can find it here - Scattered Hobbits.

For easier tracking (yours and ours) I'm asking you to use one post per letter (that means if you're going with 3 letters, you'll have 3 scattergorie posts) or use post per book (in that case you'll have to indicate letter and category used).
For this challenge part of the tracking you'll have to do yourself. We can only keep track of spell-out part (author, title, characters).

Again, books finished in August can be used.

I believe I did plan to go through her books, but probably got distracted on GR with other HR recommendations and other genres. I used to (before GR) read everything (or as much as possible) from author I liked before moving to next one. ☺
