It would not be equitable to allow you to keep both Melissa B's books while gaining Alexia's too.
This has not been done with other Teams, either. Only when there was not yet a replacement player were Teams allowed to used books by members who left the challenge, and then it was calculated as an "on track percent."
The only situation where we would allow a Team to keep books from a player who has left is if the replacement player just joined GRs and did not know the books they had read since April 12th, thereby having no books to post yet. This would put the receiving Team at a distinct disadvantage. However, even then we would only allow an "on-track percent" of the old member to be used up to the date where the new member joined.

Yes, we will.
Safe Journey, Mrs. Dresden.

I just recently plowed through Diana Gabaldon's Lord John Grey series which is a spin-off from Outlander, it wasn't as good as the main Outlander novels, but I'm a bit of a completionist when it comes to stories/worlds that I love, so I had to read them and they definitely do add some intriguing bits to the overall story.
I also finished up the Desperate Duchesses series. I don't normally read historical romances because I find them to be a bit formulaic, but I love Eloisa James' style - she's very witty and the book have a bit of a theatrical comedy flair that reminds me of Oscar Wilde's The Importance of Being Earnest - and would definitely recommend this series!
I started Gone Girl in audio last night, but I've been very antsy lately. Not for any particular reason, I don't think, but I'm just having trouble sitting down and focusing on reading. I can listen to a book while I do something else, but I'm running out of things to do!

I've had to slow down. I'm a pen paller, and I had to get some letters written before I got further behind. But I'm slowly (just at night) working through Spirit Bound, a chunkster. Working on my July Spell-it-out.

Too tired to come up with my next book. :) I think I need something shorter before taking on the last in the series. :)

I am a part-time nurse who has always picked up more shifts but lately I have been working less. But now I am on vacation - on a stay at home vacation - you would think more reading time but I haven't been as in the mood now that I have even more time. My goal is not as ambitious as some others though. I am amazed at how many books some people in the groups read! But I only read 32 books last year - granted most of them were door stoppers - and in just the first six months of 2013 have read 30. So I am doing good. Granted most my books this year are about half as long as my ones last year - so page wise I might be about the same. But I sure feel like I am reading much more than last year. I used to read 1 book at a time too. Now I will read anywhere from 2 to 4 books at a time.
Anyway thanks for letting me ramble on.
And... GO TEAM. LETS KEEP ON CHALLENGING OURSELVES AND SEE IF WE CAN WIN.
If not - think of all the great reads we will have accomplished.
Award to me for the most I have ever written in one comment on Goodreads. I just had some coffee - and I don't drink coffee. Can't you tell? But now my teammates know a little more about me:).
Pewter Blue, Alexia sent me a message that she had to, unfortunately withdraw from the challenge.
Pewter Blue, you have a new member. Please welcome Nancy (NJ) {Name Alert} (100).
I have put the NJ after her name; she may change it to K.

I spent a nightmare day in Philadelphia today. It's was insanely hot and crowded. And my GPS kept getting us lost because it would tell us to turn onto streets that weren't there or the wrong way on one-way streets. Then my friend really wanted to go down to water to watch the big fireworks display which was an even worse mass of cars and people.

Looking forward to meeting team members here when I am a bit more settled.

You probably just needed to refresh the page, Nancy.

Does Manga/Graphic Novels count?

Nancy, refer to the Google Spreadsheet Sunday Update. Look on the bottom and click on "Summary Ranked in Order" tab.
On the spreadsheet, select the sheet "summary - ranked in order"
Looks like Pewter Blue is in 8th spot. Nice work :)

I thought I'd post a picture for you today! I was sitting out in my yard enjoying the sun when I heard an "owl like" noise from the tree above me. I was so excited to see that we had a pair of tawny frog mouths back! They come into this tree every winter to nest and apparently they mate for life. They are the most gorgeous looking birds, nestled up close together! Unfortunately their camouflage makes them difficult to photograph, so here is an example of what they look like. If I manage to get a photo of our pair I will share it

Thanks so much Mods. Ask a question, get an answer here. I can't believe what an incredible job people do in this group. From the mods to team captains to members, it is an amazing group filled with something for everyone.
I was so confused at the beginning but by clicking on the icon or group name I was taken to all of the folders where I was able to read the welcome folders and another group of folders which pretty much explained everything here. I do apologize for not seeing this earlier since by clicking on home only brings up the most recent messages. To those who answered many questions, I appreciate your help and patience and think I somewhat know the ropes now and continue to feel my way.
They are pretty cool LK. Often mistaken for owls, and in many ways they are similar. I just love how they make their nest in the same spot everywhere and mate for life. I think that is uber cool
And no probs Nancy! It is a big group and I know when I first joined I was a bit overwhelmed, but I quickly found members and mods alike were only too willing to help. It makes for a nice 'community' atmosphere :)

I am currently halfway through Looking for Me and three disks into listening to And the Mountains Echoed by Khaled Hosseini. I love the voices who are narrating Hosseini's book, which include the author, but I'm still not sure I would prefer to read this book instead of listening to it.

Will catch up on the posts.

I finally finished A Breath of Snow and Ashes last night. I love the series but they take SO LONG to read. I've been reading it on and off for almost 2 months!

(these numbers do not include any of our bonus points, just books marked read and goals)
Currently our stats say:
Team goal of 1562
Books read: 417
Real stats are:
Team Goal of 1362
Books read: 366
If you like, Pewter Blue may move to a "new" Pewter Blue. It is not necessary, but an option. Totally up to you.
