This or That: Answer One/Ask One
@rick: that would be tall. the height comes in handy...but then finding a good bed might be hard to come by. i'm 5'4". not sure which one i would pick. don't want to be shorter...i guess i would pick a ft taller.rick, if we were going up to mountains i would pick camping. but for our road trip i think the motels would work better ;)
map or gps?
I love ink & paper and "Oh, I do love maps!" (something I have in common with Mr. Bilbo Baggins) Provisions: packed sandwiches & snacks or fast food?
Marcie wrote: "@roger: WOW!!... i'm with rick. that is one great painting!ps
did you crop the bottom part of that painting? if so that wan't very nice, rog. depriving your homies, your fellow complainers of such..."
No, Marcie, no crop, it's the way he's painted :)
Life of Brian (love the Holy Grail, but I've seen it way too many times to count) Brazil or Time Bandits?
@rick: no gps?! if you're driving and i can't read in a moving vehicle cus of motion sickness...we're screwed. unless you're very good at multitasking. wait. that probably won't be safe. brazil
arroz con leche (rice pudding) or capirotada (bread pudding)?
Pack boxes? Me too. @Marcie re:4890 & the gps issue - I look at the maps before I head out on the road each day. I get motion sick as well if I'm doing anything in a car, unless I'm driving. Then no motion sickness what-so-ever, but then I'm also not trying to read either. ;)
I'm going to say coffee, because I used to drink my coffee strong and black. But I don't drink coffee anymore. Long story that almost ended in the hospital from a caffeine overdose. It wasn't pretty. It's just Tea for me now.
It's July 5th: should I do the dishes or clean the bathroom?
Some hair is ok, but not barey, and not shaved, somewhere in-between, but if I've got choose, I supposed I'd go with smooth Paperback or hardback?
New (that's my preference at least, but I do LOVE the smell of old books) Trade Paperback or Pocket Paperback?
With magazines, I like to be able to lay them "flat" - can't do that with perfect bound, which always seemed like a misnomer since I found them so imperfect. So wire-stitched for me Let's see - soda, otherwise I think I'm ordering my dad (and that's just too weird to contemplate - I've already dated 3 guys with derivations of my father's name)
Books with trimmed pages or with untrimmed?
Absinthe wrote: "untrimmedsoda or pop?"
:) sorry Absinthe, I'd missed your posting, then went back and edited mine and then noticed that you noticed ... -argh!
I'm sticking with soda ( see reason above)
Soda in a can or glass?
lol Rick, no worries!soda in a can...I've always thought it silly to waste a glass when its already in a container
iced or hot coffee?
I'm going to say hot coffee, because I used to drink my coffee strong and black. But I don't drink coffee anymore. Long story that almost ended in the hospital from a caffeine overdose. It wasn't pretty. It's just Tea for me now. soda bottles of glass or plastic?
man-made pool ... I want to say natural lake, but I get freaked out by things in the water. french fries : thick or skinny?
Hrmuph. Toughie. I guess I'd pick Heinlein over Asimov in general (although in specific cases I'd probably be just as likely to go the other way). Pirates or Ninjas?
Samurai (Tom Cruise has no honor, just ask Katie Holmes) Pirates or Cowboys?
Oh wait, not that could Pittsburg vs. Dallas and I had to live through that while living in Texas and owning a Steelers winter coat. Nope ain't going there...
Pirates or Robots?
Rick wrote: "Oh wait, not that could Pittsburg vs. Dallas and I had to live through that while living in Texas and owning a Steel..."hmmm. sounds like interesting story. maybe on this road trip... ;)
daing it! i wanted to pick cowboys!
