listen to an audiobookRead aloud with someone or read the books separately and then discuss afterwards?
I freely admit, I don't "get" the whole audiobooks/read aloud thing. I can remember my grandmother reading my dad's hardback Tarzan books (I still have them)before I could read. But once I could read (around 5) I wasn't interested in listening. Far too slow! >s< And the "voices" of the narrator and the characters weren't necessarily the voices I heard in my head. Though I freely admit those voices did have to compete with the bats in the belfry. That said...do my own reading. As for the discussion afterward...I guess. Another thing that's never happened in my life, i.e., reading something with the advance intent of discussing it when done, as opposed to discussing a book read by happenstance.
