My father was employed by Eastern Metals Warehouse which fabricated aluminum to order. He didn't need your fancy dictionaries to know how to pronounce it. On most choices that are unknown there's at least a reasonable possibility that Google will turn up enough information to make a rational choice, or enough so that you know the only choice is a cyber-coin-toss.
