Hi just to let you know a friend of mine in Liverpool has released another true crime book his words are better than mine as an intro."Young and fearless hits the big time
The author Charlie Seiga who features in several BBC crime documentaries and knocked John Grisham off the number one spot with his international best seller “Killer” has released a new book this week. It is a true crime book based on his early life in Liverpool in the 1950’s and tells the story of how he became the youngest safe blower in English history.
In 1957 at the age of just seventeen Charlie Seiga was young and ambitious; he craved the good things life had to offer. At the age of just seventeen he led a gang of older men into doing daring safe blowing robberies up and down the country using high explosives (gelignite). This true story tells, in intricate detail, all about the methods used in safe blowing and how professional these men were at the business they chose to be involved in. They became known as ‘The Jelly Gang.’ "

Just finished The Devil in the White City: Murder, Magic, and Madness at the Fair that Changed America which is a great book. Learn a lot bout chicagos world fair as well as the serial killer.About 1/3 way through Death in the City of Light: The Serial Killer of Nazi-Occupied Paris and really liking it. As evil as the killer was, he pulled off some hilarious stuff.

However, he fails to mention that the White City, was open only to whites. African-Americas were only allowed into the fair on one special day. I write about this in my book: Women Who Dared: Violinist Maud Powell and Trumpeter Edna White. http://www.amazon.com/Women-Who-Dared...

There are two books in that post, which one are you referring to? If you are talking about In Broad Daylight the answer is YES

Wonderful news! The legendary FBI profiler, Roy Hazelwood, who pioneered profiling in the 1980s and developed the "organized" versus "disorganized" classification of serial killers has given my book his highest 5-star rating! He says, "I can say with confidence that readers will find it an interesting, informative, and educational read." Just re-read "How to Become a Professional Con Artist" by Dennis Marlock. Marlock was a longtime fraud detective. He writes this great short book from the POV of the con artists he caught... really instructive. Reading this book the first time was key to my upcoming book, "The Case of the Cleantech Con Artist: A True Vegas Tale."
Just started Kiss of the She-Devil by M. William Phelps. Also reading Deliver Us: Three Decades of Murder and Redemption in the Infamous I-45/Texas Killing Fields by Kathryn Casey

It's good so far. As usual I have more than one book going at the same time.

Just finished "Murder in Little Egypt" by Darcy O'Brien, which was really good. Trying to decide what my next true crime read will be!
I just finished
. It's about a detective that infiltrates the Manson Gang & involved with Marilyn Monroe. He knew too much.
Then I read book #2. They have dates, times, places, and a lot of famous names of involvement. Why did he know that was so important, that city hall/officials want him dead? Great read!
Just finished A Dark and Bloody Ground by Darcy O'Brien. Not as good as Murder in Little Egypt, but still high quality true crime.

I am reading What Ever Happened to Baby Jane? By Henry Farrell. The book is much better than the movie.
Stephanie wrote: "I am reading, Jonbenet: inside the Ramsey murder case by Steve Thomas"Do you have an opinion about who killed Jonbenet? Also, have you read "Perfect Murder, Perfect Town"? I ask because I can never quite decide who I think is more likely to have killed little Jonbenet.
This case has always intrigued me. I'll read one article & think one thing & read something else & think another
Currently started reading
I just finished reading "Are You There Alone?" The Unspeakable Crime of Andrea Yates, that was an awesome book. Totally disgusted with Andrea. But it's definitely a must read!
Currently reading Bitter Blood: A True Story of Southern Family Pride, Madness, and Multiple Murder, which is starting out kind of slow. Just finished "A Rage to Kill" by Ann Rule, which was okay, but not my favorite of her Crime Files books. So sad about her passing!
A 24 hour read and page turner....The Good Nurse, A True Story about Medicine, Madness, and Murder by Charles Grabner. I just finshed this book and can highly recoomend. The story is about Charley Cullen's clandestine, yet murderous, journey throgh varois hospitals and the efforts of the hospitals to cover it up and the police to uncover and prosecute it.
I'm currently reading Fatal Vision by Joe McGinniss. I love it!A couple of my favorites are The Iceman - Confessions of A Mafia Contract Killer by Philip Carlo. An Evil Love by Geoffrey Wansell, about Fred and Rose West.
E-book special until December 31:"In Search of Sacco and Vanzetti: Double Lives, Troubled Times, and the Massachusetts Murder Case That Shook the World" will be available for $1.99 from Amazon, Apple iBooks, Barnes & Noble, Google, and Kobo.
This re-examination of a controversial case from the 1920s was the winner of the Gold Medal for True Crime from the Independent Publishers Book Awards.
