The Flooze (the_flooze) Now that we got the big guy's story, and the long-awaited tale of Fang and Amy is on its way, who ELSE are you itching to hear about?

Personally, I'm dying for Deimos to get his own book. He's been popping up more and more frequently and I perk up everytime he comes on the scene. I'd love to see a book focused on his justice-wielding, smart-mouth sexy self.

And speaking of smart-asses, I'd love to see Solin again. His exchanges with Arik were so hilarious that I'm dying to see more of him. He was mentioned in passing in the last one. Can you imagine him and Zarek going at it? Oh, man, WWIII.

Whose story are you hoping to see soon?

message 2: by Chasidy (new)

Chasidy | 157 comments Im hoping to see.. Simi's story. :) Do you think Kenyon will ever make one?

message 3: by The Flooze (new)

The Flooze (the_flooze) I feel she's intending to, since she did mention that Simi's match was in One Silent Night, and since then everyone's speculating it's Nim the little steampunk demon. And with the Nick situation and her sister constantly talking about charontes she thinks are hot, I'd say Simi is maturing a bit in that direction.

But she's still very young for a Charonte, so I think we'll have to wait a while for that one!

I don't think Kenyon will give us her book til long after Nick gets his shit worked out...I don't know specifically what makes me feel that way...

message 4: by Adrienne (new)

Adrienne yep:: i'd like to see a book about Solin too:)::i'd be surprised if he didn't have a book::he was given a fairly major part for an introduction in Ariks and Gearys book::

ME too! I hope Simi has her own book!

message 6: by Jess (new)

Jess I am dying to read Savitar's book. I don't know why, but I feel like he's the most illusive out of all the characters. He only gets some scenes here and there but he always captures my attention. Despite loving Ash's book I think I would have preferred reading Sav's book first. Call me crazy lol.

I also am interested in Jaden. I'm curious about his "mistress" and his broker dealings and how he ended up doing that. He's obviously under someones control but he is also obviously powerful. So there must be a story behind that. And knowing Kenyon, it's going to be something heartbreaking to make us love him lol.

message 7: by The Flooze (new)

The Flooze (the_flooze) Jess: I completely agree on the Savitar call! But we're going to have to wait forever for it. I didn't mention him because I'd just get myself excited about something I know is AT LEAST 20 books away!

Illusive is the PERFECT word for Sav. I can only imagine how complicated his book will have to be.

message 8: by Jess (new)

Jess I can't even imagine what his story line would be!! I mean really... what do we know about him?? He keeps to himself on his own island, possibly because he's avoiding someone? We know he only allows certain people access to him. He has the ability to know what is going to happen from one tiny little action..

ahhh.. there are so many possibilities because we know so little.

But I had this strange feeling in the last book that Savitar might end up with Apollymi. In One Silent Night there was definitely something there between them... ahh I can't wait!!!!

message 9: by The Flooze (new)

The Flooze (the_flooze) I totally agree. I think they've had a lil sumtin before. They seemed to know each other well from the bickering! I loved that exchange between them!

message 10: by Chasidy (new)

Chasidy | 157 comments I totally agree with you all. Sav would sure be something.

message 11: by Mojca (new)

Mojca | 84 comments Ooh, I'd like for quite a few characters to get their own books...The Peltier brothers for example, I wish them as much grief as they're giving their sister on their choice of mate.
Definitely Solin, he was the one character in The Dream-Hunter that made it worth the read.
I'd have to say Nick, because I want him to get his butt whooped by his woman for all the trouble he's caused since his suicide. I'll steer away from CON, but when he gets his HEA I want to be there...And gloat.
I don't think SK will give Artemis a happy ending (she sure doesn't deserve one), but I'd sure love to see that day.
Then there's Simi, although I can't imagine another being as patient as Ash in dealing with her.
Deimos, of course. Definitely Jared...

And cherry on the cake, my two favorite leading men (now that Ash is off the market ;)), Jaden and Savitar...It's a long and drool-filled road until we get to read about them, though. *sigh*

P.S. If I've forgotten anyone, I deeply apologize.

message 12: by The Flooze (new)

The Flooze (the_flooze) Alathea, what does CON mean?

A long and drool-filled road. You're hilarious.

I've been waiting for someone to mention the Bears! And it may come soon. Hasn't she been laying down clues that one of them is into something secretive? I forget which one, but I remember some character noticing that one of the Bears was scuttling off in a mysterious way. Was it the same one guarding the Dimme? Ugh, need to reread. Do you remember what I'm referring to?

message 13: by Mojca (last edited Apr 04, 2009 09:48AM) (new)

Mojca | 84 comments CON = Chronicles Of Nick

A YA spin-off series all about the apparently favorite Cajun detailing his life from his teens on.
I'm not touching that one dressed in a Hazmat suit.

About the Bears (or one of them) scuttling off...I think it was mentioned in Dream Chaser, but I'm not sure.

I guess I too have some rereading to do.

message 14: by The Flooze (new)

The Flooze (the_flooze) Oh, duh. I'm not used to shortening that one yet!

I'm going to at least give it a chance, mainly because I want to see more of Kyrian in his DH days. And it'll be interesting to know how much Nick sees of the DH world and how much he's sheltered from when he's a youngin'. Also, I hope she goes more into his hero-worship of Ash and his interaction with other Squires. We only get glimpses of them here and there and there are some, like Otto, I want to know more about. Since I find myself so obsessed with Kenyon's world, I can't imagine not gobbling up all the info I can get my hands on.

message 15: by Tiffany (new)

Tiffany Trevino | 19 comments I agree with Alathea... She nailed all the character's I would love see have their own books. To her list I would also add Apollymi. She is unique with her tender heart toward the ones she really loves, but has the power to destroy at will. She has suffered for so long too. I think that could be a great book. I am sure it would end up the last book of the series, and that is sad to think about.

As for the Bears... Definetly! BTW.. it was Dream Chaser, and it was Kyle Peltier that was watching the Dimme. He also set up the (rogue) Charonte with their own bar to run. I think he will have a book at some point. I hope they don't throw him in with Amiee's story. I hope her and Fang end up together. I read on an Amazon post that people want to see Amiee with Savitar... and I don't see that or want that. If anyone Savitar could end up with Apollymi---OUCH! what a distructive pair they would be. :)

message 16: by The Flooze (new)

The Flooze (the_flooze) Aimee and Savitar? Them people be smokin' crack. I don't think those two have ever even talked. Perhaps it was a typo on their part?

SO, I just read a Brotherhood of the Sword book, completely out of order, mind you. Thought I was picking up the first and I was instead reading the last.

And lo and behold, at the end of yon book, there be a Dark Hunter! Not someone we've met in DH, but a Dark Hunter nonetheless. And it seems that she's going to overlap/merge/whatever the two series. I read an interview where people asked if the character was going to appear in the DH books and she said it was a spoiler question, and we all know that means yes.

Now I have to go and read all the Brotherhood/MacAllister books just in case!

message 17: by Tiffany (new)

Tiffany Trevino | 19 comments Yeah.. I was wondering about the Aimee and Savitar thing myself, at first I thought I really MISSED something... but maybe they were the ones that MISSED something, like FANG?

I have read several of the Brotherhood books, not in order either, but I do always go back when I can get my hands on the missing ones. Which one did you read? I read them before the DH, so I don't recall picking up on a DH. There is a character SIN in the Brotherhood books, and I thought it might turn on to be DH SIN, but they are totally different. hmmmmm

message 18: by The Flooze (new)

The Flooze (the_flooze) At the end of The Warrior, in the epilogue!

message 19: by Chasidy (last edited Apr 12, 2009 10:57PM) (new)

Chasidy | 157 comments If SK is merging the two series, maybe it's time I start on the Brotherhood of the Sword books. :)

Have any of you read her B.A.D books?

message 20: by The Flooze (new)

The Flooze (the_flooze) The interview where she implied the overlap was awhile ago, so I don't know when she plans on doing it. And I got the feeling that she only introduced the idea in the last book, The Warrior. They're historicals, so I found the dialogue a little rough to read at times with all the "nay, my lord" and so forth. I don't know when the guy would come into play in DH!

I haven't read BAD. Been too caught up with so many other series! Have you read any? They didn't seem like they'd be my cup of tea, but I'm sure I'll try one at some point!

What I'm really curious about is this futuristic series she's been talking about since '07 apparently, Nevermore. But I can't find any additional info on it.

message 21: by Chasidy (new)

Chasidy | 157 comments Ah- Historicals... I've been reading a ton of historical romances so perhaps I'll slide into the series after I've read the books I've got lined up.

I haven't read any of the BAD books either. A couple of times I gave thought to pick them up but I never got around to it.

I can honestly say I have no idea what the Nevermore series is about. I've heard about it a few times but I never gave it much thought.

message 22: by Mojca (new)

Mojca | 84 comments I hate to say this but to me her BAD series is simply bad. I have all the books that've been released so far, but after the first few duds I am reluctant to pick them up.
The plot is all over the place, the characters unmemorable, even SK's famous humor falls short...It feels as if someone else is writing them in her name. So sad.

message 23: by The Flooze (new)

The Flooze (the_flooze) Alathea, I kinda thought they would be. I tried to read a little of the first League book and I didn't like that either.

So, stick with the paranormal, I guess!

Since we've brought up the rest, anyone read the Lords of Avalon books? Sword of Darkness and all that? It's based on Camelot, and apparently has the knights battling demons and such?

message 24: by Mojca (new)

Mojca | 84 comments I've read the first LOA book, the second is still is my TBR pile.
I liked it, I'm a mythology fan and I've always loved those Camelot legends. Though it's a historical (there's some time-travel as well) and written under her HR penname, it has that trademark SK style and humor. I'd recommend reading at least the first book so you get the feel of the series.
Yes, it's a historical but a PNR as well, a mix hard to find out there.

Camelot is the dark kingdom under Morgan Le Fey rule and its knights are demons, the good guys are the Lords of Avalon, but in this instance I'm more partial to the demons...Ya know, when that badass guy finds his mate and softens a bit. There's nothing better. ;)

message 25: by Chasidy (new)

Chasidy | 157 comments I may just have to pick up the Lord of Avalon books now. Thanks, =/ just more books to add to my TBR list. LOL. Too many books, so little time.

message 26: by Honest Mabel (new)

Honest Mabel (honestmabel) i want to read savitar's story RRAWR

message 27: by Cassy (new)

Cassy Kennedy | 4 comments A couple of things, one the Bear that was with the Dimme was Kyle, (I just reread Dream Chaser.) Two, the only cross over I've noticed has been with her historical series and the LOA series, it's implied that the brother who faked his suicide is one of the Lords now.
Also, where is this banter between Apollimi and Savitar, is it in Acheron? If so, I might have to reread the entire book - I now skip the beginning half because it makes me cry. I personally would love to see Savitar, Jaden and Dev. However, I think Savitar's story would fall along the lines of Acheron's book, split into two novels put together. Was I the only one who got that felling with Acheron? (BTW, sorry if I repeated information, I kind of started skimming after a point.)

message 28: by The Flooze (new)

The Flooze (the_flooze) The back and forth between Apollymi and Savitar is in Stryker's book, One Silent Night, when War comes out to play.

And you're right. SK said Acheron was originally two books, and the decision was made to combine them.

message 29: by Lauren (new)

Lauren | 126 comments Is Savitar getting his own book? I would love to read his book

message 30: by Chasidy (last edited Jun 18, 2009 03:18PM) (new)

Chasidy | 157 comments If I remember correctly Savitar is getting his own book sometime in the future. SK said her DH books are made up of four arcs: Acheron, Savitar, Jaden, and someone who has not yet been mentioned. It seems we have just got over the first arc with Ash's story now we're possibly on Sav's arc. I guess time will tell, right?

message 31: by Lauren (new)

Lauren | 126 comments I can only hope. thanks for the info. SK should never stop writing DH books!

message 32: by Chasidy (new)

Chasidy | 157 comments Ditto on that Lauren.

message 33: by The Flooze (new)

The Flooze (the_flooze) No, we're actually on Jaden's arc. The next will be Savitar's. She seems to be handling Jaden the same way she did Ash: glimpses here and there, juicy tidbits dropped in each book, then him coming more and more to the forefront of the action as the arc comes to a close. I don't know how many books are planned for this arc though.

message 34: by Chasidy (new)

Chasidy | 157 comments I really hope there aren't too many books though at the same time I dont want her to rush through the arc. I'm anxious to see what's to happen with everything. :D

message 35: by Lauren (new)

Lauren | 126 comments you start to hear about Jaden big time in Dream Chaser right?

message 36: by The Flooze (new)

The Flooze (the_flooze) Correct. That's sort of a proper intro to him. Though not a very informative one!

message 37: by Chasidy (new)

Chasidy | 157 comments Sometimes I think SK is the Goddess of Vague. She'll throw out a whole mile of juicy tidbits then steal them all back. :( LOL!

Acheron (book 2)
Savitar's book
Jaden's

Lauren | 126 comments I want Savitat's book
Simi's book
and Nick's book (not the Ya books)

message 41: by Tara (new)

Tara | 142 comments I would definitely like a Solin book. And a book about Cael and Amaranda or at least a short story. What actually happened to him?

message 42: by Kat (new)

Kat (pokeybeevs) | 1 comments I desperately want to read about Savitar and Jaden!!

I know that he came to Sanctuary injured and Amy nursed him back to health, but even if there is a short story on him somewhere along the lines that would be enough to satisfy me.
