Hey, JenniferJ, in this group, we rarely ever placed page requirements for our challenges. We'd like to be as wide-ranging as possible and sometimes, page restrictions limit choices. Most participants though would lean toward full-length novels, or it seems like it to me :)

How about The Bank? It's library book :D

Hmm, that's true... I wasn't planning on starting the bank yet, but I think I can work it :)
Any recommendations for the Alleyway? Crime/mystery is not a genre I usually read.
Edit: it's on the Spoof list! So, that solves every problem but what to read for Alleyway, lol.

I read all my Mall books first, and now I'm having a very hard time deciding to read any of the others. The ones that fit my places on the board just don't appeal to me nearly as much as many other books I have sitting around.

I read all my Bank books already, plus 5 other books. I'm not doing too badly but I can't seem to find a Horror book I want to read. It's really not my preferred genre.

Oh, duh, yes, I meant the Bank. The mall shouldn't be hard for me, either. But all the others are like pulling teeth. The toughest one for me is going to be one with a monster pic on the front.

Tien, I just realized I have a question about "Paris." I've been hunting for a book with a monster on the cover that appeals to me. But does it actually need to have "monsters" (plural)?

Not mine either, DG... I usually try to avoid them, ha ha ha. But, you know, that's why our group exists, we'll have to have read every kinds of books ;p
Out of the ones you've listed though, I've read 2: Fire Baptized and Black Feathers. I think you may like Fire Baptized more though I appreciate Black Feathers more (if that makes any sense!). Maybe...

No, it doesn't have to have more than 1 monster on cover. I only meant it as 'variety' across the monster types than anything else.

Thanks D.G. I'd count zombies as monsters, I'll take a look at that book. Wish I'd thought of A Monster Calls I just read that last week.

Although I am tempted by this Doctor Who book Doctor Who: The Krillitane Storm, I think the characters on the cover look monsterish.
Thanks, Karen, D.G., & Dee. I'd been wondering what to do for that spot too. Do we need to wait for a ruling from Tien that zombies = monsters ok?

Re: Zombies = Monsters
The note for Paris says: ’monsters’ will have to look non-human / non-animal –ie. if a vampire, it will have to show some non-human features (eg. fangs, shiny eyes etc) or if shapeshifters, it cannot just show their animal shapes –maybe a wolf face with human torso / hands, etc
So if zombies on cover should look not too normally human-like. For example, look at the gameboard - that should give a good picture of what zombies (or not too normally humanlike).
not the best grammar but, I hope that makes sense
