Can I use orange? lol I'm about to read A Clockwork Orange. What books do you suggest for this category?"

LoL, I wouldn't consider 'orange' to be an indulgent food ;p

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (Charlie Bucket, #1) by Roald Dahl Chocolate by Joanne Harris Dying For Chocolate (A Goldy Bear Culinary Mystery, Book 2) by Diane Mott Davidson The Particular Sadness of Lemon Cake by Aimee Bender etc

Erika | 19 comments I think I'm gonna read Like Water for Chocolate by Laura Esquivel. I forgot I had a book with the word chocolate already in my tbr!

And it also fits for some of my other challenges! :)

I'm keeping at it, but very slowly. Even if I haven't made it all the way around the board by the end of the month, I'll be happy to replace it with a non-zombie challenge when the new one comes.

Edit: Nope, just looked at my planning list. I have 9 books left to read. Not going to happen in July but will probably finish in a few months.

message 269: by Coralie (new)

Coralie | 1658 comments I've finished my third cycle with the less-than-impressive total of 3750. I could have done with visiting the bank (did the game know that our local branch is closed for renovations) rather than all those graveyards!

@LynnB: sorry!! updated now :)

@Coralie: Lol - yeah, a bit of a coincidence huh.

It's this cover The Book Thief by Markus Zusak

message 273: by Tien (new)

Tien (tiensblurb) | 9032 comments Mod
The idea of 'monster' is that it looks partly human and partly something else OR partly animal and partly something else.

With the above cover, Tea, I supposed it looks partly human but not really so should be fine. tx

I'm declaring bankruptcy on this game. I've just posted my last book read, and am going to give up trying to get through any others. After all, even if I complete the 3 more I know about, I'd only be at my first community chest. And I still hope to get a shelf-of-the-month book in this month in addition to A Suitable Boy

My updated listing is at post 76: http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/1...

awww... it's okay, Susan... I'm still planning to finish my last cycle albeit slowly and beyond July as I just don't have time this month with ASB ;p

Not to worry, you should be able to incorporate other challenge reads easily with the new game which I'll unveil next week :D

Thanks. Looking at how I got there, I think it all came down to hitting "The Bank" in the first round and reading the max number of books for it. It does help that I don't work in the summer either :) so I had lots of time to read. Fun!
