Book Character Elimination Game (setup and rules)

*This is the setup page, not the actual game*

This is one of my favorite games. It can get intense if there's many people online playing at once, and it can really test your persistence in rooting for your favorite character.

So here's how it works:

There's a list of characters from books (usually with a theme like heroines, heroes, supporting characters, villains, etc.) and each one starts out with 10 points. The point of the game is to eliminate other characters in order for your favorite to win.

So, for each post, you would take one point away from one character and add it to another character. Characters are eliminated when they reach zero, and the last one standing wins!

Actually, its more like when there are two characters left, who has the most points. It would just go in circles if we tried to narrow it down to one single character.

Game Announcement

There will be multiple rounds played for each category(e.g we've had one round of Favorite Guys, and are nearing the end of round one of Couples, but then sometime later there will be round two of each category.) I was originally planning to pick the last three standing characters in each round to put into the next round, but I have decided to change that.

Instead, there will be four rounds for each category--each with its very own set of characters--and the fifth round will be a list of the winners from each round. That way, we won't have the same character winning each round.

So, this means no characters from round one of Favorite Guys are eligible for round two, not even the top three.

However, if there's a shortage of character suggestions, I will take the first three characters that went out and add them to that round's list.

Yeah. I think we should do a supporting characters one. So, basically, these are the best friends of main characters. They are not the central characters.

I counted 7 previously suggested. I would like to have 11 people for each round (that's how many I've had for the last two rounds). I would also like new suggestions for the next rounds for the Favorite Guys (11 that have not been used before).
