You chose from your partners TBR list or the list that they specify. It is fun seeing what your partner has in their TBR list.

message 91: by Camilla (last edited Mar 29, 2013 12:00PM) (new)

Camilla (cyqua) Thanks for those picks, Eydís! I'm actually reading Howl's Moving Castle right now! :)
So, I actually think I will try and go with Jane Eyre, it is about time for to get that one crossed off the list ;)

For you, I have chosen:

The Darkangel by Meredith Ann Pierce
This is one of my ABSOLUTE favourites of all time! I read it first when I was about 12 and it is one of the main reasons I love fantasy as much to this day! :) Wonderfully different story and the whole series is amazing! :)

If you'd prefer something different, you could go with Sandry's Book by Tamora Pierce - I see that you haven't read anything by her before and this is a good series :) I love all her books even though they are perhaps a bit "young" :)
Her best though (imo) is the Song of the Lioness series which starts with Alanna: The First Adventure

Lastly, I would recommend A Wizard of Earthsea by Ursula K. Le Guin which is really lovely as well - a classic in its own right!

It's really cool, but most of the books you've read and these I've recommended are really my oldest and most loved "classic" fantasy books, that started my love of the genre! Hope you enjoy them! :)

message 92: by Cindy (new)

Cindy Rawlings | 217 comments Ok, Fairlee has chosen Haven (Bishop/Special Crimes Unit, #13) by Kay Hooper for me, and out of the choices I gave her she picked The Lord Is My Shepherd (The Psalm 23 Mysteries, #1) by Debbie Viguié . :)

Thanks for the picks Camilla :)

I actually picked A Wizard of Earthsea from the library just the other day so I will definitely read that one.

The other books look interesting as well, I'll see which ones I can get my hands on in this far corner of the world :)

And don't worry, I have an undying love for fantasy books :)

Happy reading!
