I finished up Unleash the Night last night and I'm about half way through Dark Side of the Moon! I'm getting all excited about the dream-hunters as I completely blew threw them to get to Acheron last time! This time I will go slower and savor them lol

I have to admit I've been stuck in young adult for a while...my first book by Sherrilyn was Dance with the Devil and I absolutely loved it. I am such a Kenyon addict now :) Just finished Acheron. WOW!!! It was amazing.

I'll be doing a re-read of BDB next. I'm probably one of the only ones who have yet to read Lover Mine. I know, it's horrible, right?! Ahh, well soon enough Ill get that book in my hands... after I do my re-reads of those sinfully yummy brothers.

It was definitely weird going from JR Ward's writing style to SK's. They are completely different and it kinda threw me for a loop. Love them both but for VERY different reasons. Enjoy the re-read!

I'm right there with ya'll. Ironically enough, I'm a die-hart historical romance fan, and read more HR than PR in general. However, I only consider myself a fan of just two authors, of any genre, and they are Ward and Kenyon.

I do enjoy Kenyon's writing more so than Ward's, but only marginally so. Even still, the weird-factor that I adore their writing to the level I do when their styles are as polar opposite as can be is pretty strange. But, alas, we love what we love, and these two authors rock at what they do! :)

Jaqueline, I'm the same way. I consider myself more of a HR reader with the exception of being completely obsessed with Kenyon and Ward's series.

Oh, wow, really?! Now that's ironic, but I'm glad I'm not the only one. One would think I'd be a fan of a historical romance author, since that's the genre I read the most- but such isn't the case. I will, on occasion, pick up other paranormal romance books, but predominately I, like you, read HR.

I don't know what it is about Ward's and Kenyon's writing style that I love so much, but I think their world building and character development is what draws me in. Never have I read any other authors who are capable of creating worlds and people the way these two talented women do!

Okay...so...I've been working NONSTOP and I've had the last couple of days to actually sit down and read.

I FINALLY finished the series!! WOO!! I still, pretty much, feel like I did the first time I read through. My heart is with Ash and Tory and Fang and Aimee. They are, by far, my favorite couples. <3

But now I'm done with the series and I'm wishing, very hard, that Infinity wasn't a YA novel. :( I'm gonna read it, of course, cause I love Nick to death but I wish it was regular PNR. :(

Anywho, off to other worlds of PNR. :)

Hello all, I am new to Goodreads and this group. For that matter I am also new to the world of all that is Kenyon. I finished Fantasy Lover a while ago and finally I am on to reading Night Pleasures. I am lover of PNR; I have read many series including a good majority of Christine Feehan's novels (I have all of the Dark Series novels and her Ghostwalker series and most of the Leopard novels). And I saw you all love J.R. Ward as well, I just recently finished Lover Mine and love that too....all about those yummy brothers! :) So now I am embarking on a new series which is already gotten me addicted so far with Kyrian and Amanda that I already rushed over to my book store and got the next 3 books in order....yes I am an obsessive compulsive book buyer but that is another story! :)

I'm reading Kiss of the Night by Sherrilyn Kenyon

I started this series a week and a half ago and I am loving it. I like all the Dark Hunters but I hate Artemis and wish her dead - LOL

I'm new to the group, I love any paranormal romance but I like fantasy reads as well.

I am reading Acheron right now and loving it soooo much!!! I haven't crossed over the BC/AD change over line yet...but I live for spoilers!! What did you all think of the book?

That one and Fang's are my absolute FAVORITE!! I adore Tory as a heroine!!!! I wish we got to see more of them in the following books but oh well. Maybe in Dev's we'll meet up with them somewhere!!

I loved Vane's story soooo much! I think my fav is still Talon, even though Sunshine was a bit much at times. I can't wait for Nick's story!! I wish we didn't have to wait until we hear his whole childhood, though.

Ironically, I'm actually kind of glad we get all of Nick's adolescence, though I'm only 412 pages into Infinity, I do get the feeling that the description of Nick's younger years depicted in this series/novel is not at all what had happened before this book. So, the way I see it, not only are we getting a better feel of Nick's character, but we're seeing a reshaping of Nick's life here-and-now with this novel/series that we wouldn't have had otherwise. No clue whether or not that makes sense, LOL, but that's my opinion any way :).

I think his character took on a life his own, so to speak. He just leaps off the page in every book. I can't wait to read it, and see how Kenyon does in the YA genre.

Amen to that, Katherine! He really does have an amazing presence in the DH series, and his character is enthralling almost to the level of Ash and Savitar.

I have to admit, I am very, very shocked at how amazingly well Sherri is with YA writing. I shouldn't have thought otherwise, since she is a Renaissance woman at heart and is talented like no other. While I didn't doubt she would be great, I didn't necessarily expect the level to which her style has, thus far, been in the book Infinity.

I can't wait!!! I put the series down for a bit this winter and spring while I was in school. Now that the semester is over I am tearing through Acheron and I need to get more DH books lined up like yesterday!!

Oooh, Lord I'd truly implode if I had to go one day past the release date of an SK book before reading it. I buy almost every book the second it's on preorder and sit down to devour the thing in record time.

Infinity was the first book that I made myself not devote an entire day to reading it, since I wanted it to last three days rather than just one, LOL.

Acheron was definitely one of my favorite books. It proved to me that Sherri is truly a kick ASS writer to the extreme. While I easily cry (I cried at the ending of the movie Click, LOL), my mom isn't. She a tough ol' bird and she was completely incapable of finishing the first part of Acheron. The fact that Sherri allows an intimate look at her characters to such a degree that she does is truly unique. I've never found another author who could do that, or even match the level to which she does!

Wow Jacqueline, I'm glad I'm not the only one who crys from reading books - LOL I love the character Acheron, I haven't got to his book yet but I am excited about getting to it. I hope something drastic happens to Artemis - I can't stand that beautch - LOL I love how Kenyon writes too. I thought I liked J.R. Wards writing but just in this last month, I have found two authors who are in the same catagory and they are Sherrilyn Kenyon and Kresley Cole.

I love love love this book!! So far it is my favorite. I have the audio for Infinity, and the prologue was already amazing!!

The Warlord Wants Forever by Kresley Cole first? You can find that book in Playing Easy to Get
by Sherrilyn Kenyon If you read that book first then the rest of the series will make sense.

:) Awesome! So you're a newbie to the world of the Dark-Hunters. Oooo, I is jealous! Hehe. The best feeling in the world I had was discovering Sherri's books back in 2004. I'm a die-hard fan and truly only consider myself a fan of two authors- her first, then Ward second :).

Hehe, well, suffice to say Acheron is one of my favorite characters, and I -hate- Artemis...and I absolutely -loved- Ash's book :)!

Cole sounds familiar as an author, but either way I'll definitely check out her books!

I do love this group, though I noticed posts are somewhat rare it seems. Either way, it's awesome because there's nothing I love more than discussing my ever-insane love for all things Sherri.

Without divulging too many spoilers to you, while Artie doesn't get NEAR the amount of pay back I want her to (her being consumed by Simi in a fiery barbecue explosion only barely covers my hatred for that goddess, LOL), there is one scene that I abso-freakin'-lutely love and it occurs in part two of the book. I -know- you're going to love it, no doubt!

Yes I agree I finished this book at 4am this morning I could not put it down. it was an awesome book. I think so far my favorite. I love Simi she is so funny, and I love fury he cracks me up. Does Fury have his own book, that would be an interesting one to read. I really haven't looked to see yet.

Samantha I totally loved Night Play, I never laughed so much at some of the comments made, I even had tears in my eyes from laughing so much. Of course I love the romance of Vane. He is such a sweetheart.

I am currently reading the book that comes after Night Play called Seize the Night and it is so funny causing me to laugh out loud, I absolutely love Simi. I'm like halfway through the book but am loving it.

But yes while everyone in the house was sleeping last night I'm laying her on my couch literally lol'ing at some of the tings said in this book, especially coming from Fury OMG 2 FF's. Oh girl you got my mouth watering now! I've got so many series going on and so many books in my bookshelves to read and I'm also involved in the PNR groups monthly challenge. So I will eventually get back to reading the Dark hunter books, which is kinda nice I am taking is easy on those because Like with the BDB series, the Night Huntress series, and all other series I am waiting for the newest books to come out again, I still have some books left A LOT OF BOOKS to be exact in the DH series which will be nice when the next book comes out, but then I will be waiting for the next one just like with all the others unless she's ending the series soon, but I don't think she is but who knows.

they are yummy aren't they, I read fantasy lover and immediately had to go to the second, but with my ADD it's easy to get distracted and I didn't have the other books yet so I moved onto other series. Which is fine I love series books.

LOL Stephanie and Samantha, I love series too. Matter of fact, I am trying to decide which series to read next after the Dark Hunter. I have downloaded so many good series. Just last month I have downloaded over 400 books for free and man, they all look good - LOL A lot of them are series though.

I started the book Sins of the Night last night and i am loving it too, I am so hooked on the Dark Hunter Series.

Whats funny is that about a year and a half ago I started reading paranormal series and now I find myself not just liking vampires but the other Myth characters too. I like the idea of mixing fantasy and paranormal.

Oh hell I'm reading so many series, my decisions are based on what books do I read out of each, it's a very tough decision, I usually end up doing the mini, myni, mo bit in choosing which one to read.

Ronda I am the same way I started reading again last April, because I read the Twilight series and loved it, yes I said I loved the twilight series, and I may get shit for it but I don't care! LMAO! But yeah it got me back into reading and at first I was all abotu the vampires, and I still love the vampires, but as my library grew into the PNR world and the UF world I am loving all books with a mythical creature in it.

Now I have a bookshelf that I got for christmas and I am in need of another one, because I have already filled this one up, and my library continues to grow, and I am one of those people that can't put books in front of other books in a bookshelf it bugs me.

LOL Samantha, too bad you don't live next to me in Austin Texas - I'd give you the 4 tall book shelves I just emptied. I still can't believe I sold all my books to buy this Nook I have. I feel lost when i walk into my now empty Library. However, It is nice knowing that i have them all on my external hard drive now in pdf and ebooks.

The first one Enjoyed it! going to continue on with the series but I want to get all the books waiting to be read in my book shelf read first at least put a good sized dent into it lol.

Well I finished two books today - well one full book and a short story in the Dark Hunter series.

I finished Sins of the Night and give it 4 stars, the book gives us more insight into Acherons life in his realm.

Then I read the short story called Second Chances and of course it reminds us how caring and loving Acheron is. the book tells us who his real mother is. I give it a 5 star.
