Liz Barrons-Kattalakis-Quiakides-Tehrror | 351 comments Sin's story was great!!!! DHfan I actually love Wren's book...lol

Alexion/Danger, Aidan/Letta, Sundown /Aby were "meh" couples to me plus the couples in the novelas with the exception of Fury's and Dante's. Fury, I liked but Dante's I LOVED!!!!

The books that I've re-read the most have been Zarek's, Vanes, Val's,Wren's,Sin's, Ash's & Jericho's. I listen to all those in audiobooks sometimes. I'll read "The Guardian" again soon too.

Dhfan4life | 10411 comments It's not that I don't like Wren as a character. Just thought he was good ally material more so than being more of a character that would choose to be in the spotlight. Not to mention his story read a little tried and true with the whole falling for a politician's daughter. Kind of a trope they sometimes over do in movies too and it never interests me. Good tid bits on other characters especially Mama Lo. Who knew a bear could have some bitch in them.

PepperP0t | 180 comments ok so first it was Dumb Dev -- now it's a Bitchy Bear and you expect me not to laugh in your face?!?!? Good luck with that, I am laughing out loud!

message 654: by Dhfan4life, Honey Bun (last edited Mar 06, 2012 05:51PM) (new)

Dhfan4life | 10411 comments No need to laugh in my face at all actually. But when you read it you will see what I mean.

c'mon -- the alliteration is funny. the visual I got was funny & that you said straight was funny. I have no doubt they will be those things. As soon as I'm done with Broken. I'm back to Wren.

message 656: by Dhfan4life, Honey Bun (new)

Dhfan4life | 10411 comments I get what you meant. But the way you worded it implied laughing in my face with regard to what I said. That is why I said what I did. Kind of a note to being careful of what we submit to being posted before we post it is all.

message 660: by PepperP0t (new)

PepperP0t | 180 comments I have enjoyed what I've read of the series. Now my mini-hiatus is over I'm anxious to get back to the series. Just finished Broken by Megan Hart will start Unleash the Night (Dark-Hunter, #8; Were-Hunter, #3) by Sherrilyn Kenyon next!

Liz Barrons-Kattalakis-Quiakides-Tehrror | 351 comments Pat, I hope you enjoy Wren's book... I loved it !!!!!
(Sorry DHfan...LOL)

message 662: by Dhfan4life, Honey Bun (new)

Dhfan4life | 10411 comments Oh I don't begrudge anybody for liking it. I like Wren as well. Just not as a central character. Great ally material though for sure.

message 663: by Deanne (new)

Deanne (deniseanne) | 55 comments waiting for Infamous to get released soon so i can start reading!!!

Welcome to the wonderful world of SK's dark-hunters books (haha)! Hope you enjoy the series as much as many of us do ^.^.

I haven't read Acheron's book yet. Did you enjoy it?

message 666: by PepperP0t (new)

PepperP0t | 180 comments I devoured Wren in one sitting. Wren is a favorite.

Liz Barrons-Kattalakis-Quiakides-Tehrror | 351 comments Pat wrote: "I devoured Wren in one sitting. Wren is a favorite."

Yes...I'm glad you loved it... I was enthralled by Wren's awkwardness and intensity.

That is what made Wren so endearing.
And who can do tortured hero like Kenyon? It is a wonder they live to adulthood she piles so much tragedy on them. LOL

message 669: by Dhfan4life, Honey Bun (new)

Dhfan4life | 10411 comments I think of it as layered tragedy. I'm still at a loss as to what Ward was thinking when she came up with Rhage's background. Like being a drunken frat boy type that let some chick shoot a bird and you get in trouble for it is the only thing that defines you? Really?

message 670: by PepperP0t (new)

PepperP0t | 180 comments maybe it was to show the pettiness of the Scribe Virgin

message 671: by Dhfan4life, Honey Bun (new)

Dhfan4life | 10411 comments That could be one theory. But she actually loved the birds. So I took what she did as a hardcore animal lover getting back at him the best way she could. But I think when I read the companion book and skimmed Ward's thoughts behind each character and she was talking about Rhage's. I think she did mention something about wanting one of those big, hollywood, type of characters or something. That look good physically but don't have much else going on. But I still don't necessarily get why though? I mean readers have seen tons of characters that have been both attractive and likely to rip your head off or have done some crazy stuff in the past. So why just give him window dressing and a tummy ache after he turns Godzilla and eats a few lessers?

message 672: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer | 1747 comments So, I finally got Acheron's book and I really want to read it but I'm not up for reading a huge 700 something page book at the moment, haha. I do intend on reading it soon though as I very much want to read Acheron's story.

message 673: by Dhfan4life, Honey Bun (new)

Dhfan4life | 10411 comments Give you a chance to stock up on the tissues too. I still have Infamous chilling on my shelf right now. And I so want to dive into it. But still sticking to my guns on reading these other books down first.

message 674: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer | 1747 comments I've heard how sad that book is. I really hope it's not THAT bad though. It already makes me feel sorry for poor Ash, lol. Let me know how Infamous is when you read it. The book sounds good. I want to get it later.

message 675: by Dhfan4life, Honey Bun (new)

Dhfan4life | 10411 comments The first part is pretty sad of Ash's book. But second part is like the rest of the DH books. Just there is the debate over Tory as his love interest. So will leave that up to you to decide how you feel about her.

message 676: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer | 1747 comments I shall be prepared for the first part then, lol. Yeah, I've noticed people either not liking Ash and Tory together at all or really liking them together. I really hope they're a good pair though. Ash deserves a good match.

message 677: by Dhfan4life, Honey Bun (new)

Dhfan4life | 10411 comments I think she serves the purpose that SK wants her to serve. Beyond that I'm leaving at that before the heated debates begin again, lol.

message 678: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer | 1747 comments LOL, dhfan. Probably a good idea since this is a SK group, haha.

message 679: by Shari-amor, Doll Cake (new)

Shari-amor | 5275 comments Is anybody else reading the league series!? What do you think about those!?

message 680: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer | 1747 comments Not me, but I wouldn't mind checking it out.

message 681: by Dhfan4life, Honey Bun (new)

Dhfan4life | 10411 comments Liz reads those I believe. I haven't tried them.

message 682: by Shari-amor, Doll Cake (new)

Shari-amor | 5275 comments Well I actually started reading them a couple of months back. I didnt realize they were gonna be more....science-fiction based but they're pretty cool tho. They're darker and more intense then the DH series.

message 683: by PepperP0t (new)

PepperP0t | 180 comments I'm interested in those as well but wasn't certain if I needed to finish DH first.

message 684: by Shari-amor, Doll Cake (new)

Shari-amor | 5275 comments Nah they're two different series that are unrelated to each other so if you want to take a break you can read those.

message 685: by PepperP0t (new)

PepperP0t | 180 comments "in my spare reading time" *snort* Thanks

message 686: by Shari-amor, Doll Cake (new)

message 691: by Melodie (new)

Melodie (melodiestar) | 3 comments Just reread Dance with the Devil (Dark-Hunter, #3) by Sherrilyn Kenyon and it was every bit as amazing as the first time.

message 692: by PepperP0t (new)

PepperP0t | 180 comments Such a good series, each book gets better.

message 693: by Silentdoe2 (last edited Apr 01, 2012 12:32PM) (new)

Silentdoe2 | 36 comments I know right?! i'm re-reading Night Play (Dark-Hunter, #5; Were-Hunter, #2) by Sherrilyn Kenyon for possibly the 13th or 14th time. I think if I didn't have it on the Nook, the spine would've cracked a long time ago

message 694: by PepperP0t (new)

PepperP0t | 180 comments they are re-readable, I'm going thru for the first time.

message 697: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer | 1747 comments So very true.

message 698: by PepperP0t (new)

PepperP0t | 180 comments Reading Devil May Cry (Dark-Hunter, #12) by Sherrilyn Kenyon for the first time. I love this series.

message 699: by Dhfan4life, Honey Bun (new)

Dhfan4life | 10411 comments What'd you think of Ash's book Pat?

message 700: by PepperP0t (new)

PepperP0t | 180 comments I haven't gotten that far. Remember I'm reading for the first time and I have a couple of books before I get to Ash's book. I am finding Devil May Cry (Dark-Hunter, #12) by Sherrilyn Kenyon to be rathr enlightening - and it's moving quick I'm more than half done already.
