The Worst Book You've Ever Read

Me too!"
I hope Kelly decides to tell us! :)

I agree. i was so excited when i found out what the plot was. i kept expecting it to get better, but the writing just didn't do the plot justice.

Interesting; my sister read that book and she hated the first half with a passions. She said by the time she finished she really liked it though. Did you hate the last half as well? (I've heard that part's awesome)

I didn't get that far! If I really don't like a book, I don't read it to the end (unless it has been given to me to review). I've got such a big tbr that I can't waste time on something I'm not enjoying.

Totally!!!! It was such a let down!

I loved Uglies, but I can see what you mean!! that's funny because I hated Matched- I didn't even try Crossed!!

That is funny! Different writing taste buds I suppose :)

Perfect....perfect
*Out of interest Lex, I notice Candor is your profile picture- does that mean that you'd be in Candor!??!?!

Not only was that annoying, but they had internet on their phone and computer.. but all the radio and phone line wasn't working. (Which they shouldn't, it's the apocalypse!) Would have loved to know how they got better internet connection than me!

Hahahahah that's brilliant! XD

Completely agree! I thought Crossed was pretty bad. :(
Reached is definitely better, but I still liked Matched the best. I think there's the most character development in Matched. :)

I couldn't even get through Matched. My librarian gave it to me, raving about how it was the best but I thought it was okay..

Ugh I felt exactly the same. Uglies was a struggle, and Pretties was nearly impossible. I gave up hope after that.

One can only hope that a whole generation of "Twi-hards" will be properly ashamed of themselves 10 years from now.

I don't despise the book, but I definitely don't like it. And the book isn't special, different, or unique, how did it even become popular?

Yeah, it definitely didn't live up to my expectations. It was disappointing, especially since I liked the cover so much. A lot of the details about the world are pretty vague.

Same- I also didn't like the way the love triangle worked, it started off so much better, but the ending didn't work at all!

Agreed! I'm getting so tired of bad love triangles haha. It seems like every book I've read lately has had one!

Totally!!!! I'm fine with love triangles but in Matched it was so obvious who would win making the whole concept so pointless

Haha I was with you on ALL of that, except I was team Gale so I was used to supporting the best friend who loses!

Haha but I liked Gale, too. Until the end of Mockingjay...wasn't able to like him after that.

Like many of King's books, "It" starts out great then "It" gets silly.
Giant Space Turtle? Really, Mr. King? Really?
