Raquel (ahnabella) The worst book I've ever read is Eve (Eve, #1) by Anna Carey by Anna Carey. This book is full of nonsense. The main character is the worst character I've ever had to stand. She's stupid, she has to be saved over and over again by her boyfriend, she keeps getting in trouble because of the insane love she feels for him and doesn't care about anything but to be with him, but instead she takes the worst decisions EVER and then she keeps all the book regretting it... I LITERALLY THREW THAT BOOK TO THE WALL. And other books I hated so much are: Shadowland (The Immortals, #3) by Alyson Noel and Wake (Watersong, #1) by Amanda Hocking . Mainly beacuse of the main character. Soooo stupid and annoying in both cases.

Prangarang | 8 comments People talk about how great it is, but I absolutely HATED Bridge to Terabithia. It was my first time experiencing book sadness, and I didn't like that and still don't like that. I read it years ago and hid the book in the very back of my closet so I wouldn't have to see it.

Holly (skizzles22hju) | 11 comments Forbidden Discover the Legend (Wolf Sirens, #1) by Tina Smith This was my very first 1 star book. It was horrible! I hated the main character, Lila; she had the worst personality! The paranormal element was extremely confusing and just did not work. And the writing was very sophomoric, at best. I'm definitely not continuing this series.

message 104: by [deleted user] (new)

The worst book I ever read would have to be Twilight but the book I didn't like the most is The Fault in Our Stars because I enjoyed reading Twilight (It was the first real book series I ever read) but The The Fault in Our Star, I thought, was just so terrible.

message 105: by Kandice (new)

Kandice | 32 comments What didn't you like about the fault in out stars? I enjoyed it, it's a little depressing but I thought it was still pretty good.
The worst book I have ever read would have to be Beautiful creatures.

message 106: by Sarah (new)

Sarah | 78 comments I wont mention the book, but it was first present and short choppy sentences. A YA book doesnt have to be written like a video.

message 107: by [deleted user] (new)

Kanice, I just wasn't into it and I thought the characters were lame and not interesting. I just didn't get all the hype but I do understand why so many people like it. I'm not a big fan of John Green either and I didn't appreciate the nasty stuff.

Daniela | 429 comments Sorry i have to ask, the nasty stuff?

message 109: by Kika96 (new)

Kika96 | 6 comments The worst book? Fallen. I can't even believe that thing got published - I forced myself to finish by circling all the mistakes. And then I find out it has a series. You have got to be kidding me.

message 110: by Lauren (new)

Lauren (originally_elle) Fifty Shades of Grey.
The writing sucked soooo bad I couldn't even finish the book. Sooooo Baaaaaad!

I never read the book but I did see the movie and thought it was horrible!

message 113: by Riya (new)

Riya I'm kinda depressed now- I just got Beautiful Creatures and Fallen from the lbirary!!! AAAAHH

message 114: by Daniela (new)

Daniela | 429 comments Oh God, Riya! Hahaha!

message 115: by Kandice (new)

Kandice | 32 comments Lol I bought fallen the other day :(

message 116: by Daniela (new)

Daniela | 429 comments Completely agree Amelia. First book i never finished.

message 117: by A (new)

A | 50 comments My least favourite books are-
City of Bones (The Mortal Instruments, #1) by Cassandra Clare Hush, Hush (Hush, Hush, #1) by Becca Fitzpatrick Twilight (Twilight, #1) by Stephenie Meyer

I know that Mortal Instruments series is very popular but I didn't like the plot and the characters and Hush-Hush was terrible as for Twilight....I'm at a loss for words...I feel that it's the worst book ever.

message 118: by A (new)

A | 50 comments And for some reason I didn't like The Fault in Our Stars by John Green either. I think it's too overrated.

message 119: by Kayla (new)

Kayla De Leon (kayladeleon) Ayesha, we have the same thoughts about Hush, Hush. I thought it was a Twilight rip-off, to be honest only with angels instead of vampires

message 120: by A (new)

A | 50 comments Kayla wrote: "Ayesha, we have the same thoughts about Hush, Hush. I thought......

I'm happy that I'm not alone. My friend suggested it to me calling it awesome, only when I read something like 10 pages I felt to burn the book...I completed it although it WAS painful to continue.

message 121: by Kayla (new)

Kayla De Leon (kayladeleon) Amelia, there are some good angel books I've read. Ignite by Erica Crouch and Outcast by Adrienne Kress are some. Outcast dealt more with Nephilim, though.

Sorry I couldn't put the book covers. I'm on my phone. :)

A | 50 comments Amelia wrote: "Aren't books with Angels horrible no matter what? I really can't fathom how anyone could write a book with angels that would be 'good'? ....."

I've read Mortal instruments, Hush-Hush and Fallen and I liked neither...I'm interested in Paranormal but there seems to be a hype for most of the paranormal series which I hate.

message 123: by Kayla (new)

Kayla De Leon (kayladeleon) I haven't read TMI yet and Fallen just sucked. Wish I could sell my Fallen and Torment copies. And Amelia, Hush Hush is really just a Twilight rip-off. We've got the same controlling vampire and a girl who can't take care of herself and is always throwing away everything for said guy. I don't even know why I bought 3 of its 4 books, haha.

message 124: by A (last edited Jul 13, 2013 05:52AM) (new)

A | 50 comments Amelia wrote: "Mortal instruments is about angels? I didn't know that. Maybe I should stop reading it.. or postpone it for something more likey. We'll ..."

Most of the readers don't seem to notice that TMI is a lame mash-up between Harry Potter and Twilight only difference is that there are shadowhunters in fact TMI was originally conceived from HP fanfic.....it's not even original and the characters.....well they are all egoistic arrogant and annoying......:p

message 125: by Prangarang (new)

Prangarang | 8 comments Even so, I really liked The Mortal Instruments. Sometimes I was fed up with dumb characters, but all books have that sometimes. I really liked the story and how it was written. They are good books.

message 126: by Daniela (new)

Daniela | 429 comments I agree Prangarang, though I've only read the City of Bones. There were some moments where i felt pretty frustrated but overall i thought both the way it was written and the actual story were pretty good.

message 127: by Heather (new)

Heather (hersecretsmile) | 49 comments I agree about Hush, Hush. It was awful.

However I really enjoy TMI series. I mean it's not super unique or anything but it's enjoyable and unique. I feel like there's enough characters where there is one you can relate to.

Also Unearthly is about about angels and it is fantastic.

message 128: by Jojobean (new)

Jojobean Slice of Cherry by Dia Reeves

This book was very weird and I didn't like it at all. From the synopsis I thought it was going to be about two daughters of a serial killer who inherit his taste for killing. While I was expecting some killing fun, I was not prepared for all the stupid paranormal elements (if you want to call it that) and the sheer stupidity of this book.

message 129: by Jenny (new)

Jenny | 12 comments The Book Thief by Markus Zusak
I have been told and read where a lot of people love this book, but I just could not get through it. I am one who read book even if I don't like them, but I couldn't finish it. I had a hard time with the way the book jumps around so much, it just wasn't for me.

The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman
The Graveyard Book was another one I didn't really care for. It is even an award winning book, but it just didn't capture my attention and I found it to be lacking in some way that I couldn't put my finger on. I have a friend who run one of the local libraries. I donated it because I had no interested in keeping the book.

message 130: by Erin LM (new)

Erin LM | 160 comments I agree with the mortal instruments, the first one wasn't so bad but the second... It was so difficult for me to finish it specially because of Clary, she was so annoying it seemed like she didnt have a brain at all, she didn't think before acting or speaking, when something scared her she would scream and cry, she was a dead weight for all of the other characters. I can't understand why everyone is so crazy for that books, why did they pick them to make a movie Instead of choosing the Infernal devices, that was the same topic but a lot better?
Sometimes I don't understand people's desitions.

message 131: by Georgia (new)

Georgia (georgiiabaker) | 55 comments I really did not like Shiver, it was just so confusing and boring and the minute I put down the book I forgot everything about it!

message 132: by Terri (new)

Terri | 11 comments Life of Pi just did not enjoy itt althou i did Finnish it. I'm currently reading The Book Thief and i just can't get into it.

message 133: by Tracy (last edited Aug 10, 2013 01:55AM) (new)

Tracy C | 38 comments @Terri Dang it I'm on the hold list at the library for those 2 books.

message 134: by Christine (new)

Christine (MissWinterly) | 12 comments The Mortal Instruments. Dearly, Departed.
Those two books/series' heroines make me want to strangle someone while ranting at them how foul those characters are. While also sobbing.

message 135: by Olivia Tate (new)

Olivia Tate The Perks of Being a Wallflower

message 136: by Tiffany (last edited Aug 10, 2013 12:56PM) (new)

Tiffany (socialprojectx) | 18 comments fahrenheit 451.....STUPID

and those of you who dislike The Mortal Instruments..Is it because of the whole "brother/sister " thing that throws you off at first? That threw me off and totally ruined my vibe for the couple.

message 137: by [deleted user] (new)

Twilight. One of the worst. Shade's Loss was awful too.

message 138: by A (new)

A | 50 comments I hate TMI more than any book I've ever read. The very name of Cassandre Clare and her awfully plagiarised series makes my blood boil! Ugh the bloody incest in the second book is freaking disgusting....honesty, I don't know why it doesn't disgust the TMI fandom. What the hell is wrong with the world??

message 139: by [deleted user] (new)

I didn't like Matched...sigh.

message 140: by Tracy (new)

Tracy | 97 comments Amelia wrote: "Aren't books with Angels horrible no matter what? I really can't fathom how anyone could write a book with angels that would be 'good'? Feel free to prove me wrong!"

The only angel books I really liked (I've read Hush, Hush, Fallen, both meh...) was

Angel Burn (Angel, #1) by L.A. Weatherly

and the sequel...

Angel Fire (Angel, #2) by L.A. Weatherly

Both really good!!

message 141: by Tracy (new)

Tracy | 97 comments I didn't like "Fins" very much. I had issues with so many things about it (Story, characters, writing, etc). And I think I'm pretty easy to please for the most part...

message 142: by Tracy (new)

Tracy | 97 comments I liked Matched and Crossed, but not the third one - I can't even remember what's called!!

message 143: by Manni (new)

Manni Francis (mannifrancis) The Death Cure is prolly the worst trilogy finale I've ever read.. That was a huge let down for me :/

message 144: by Prangarang (new)

Prangarang | 8 comments I know I already said how Bridge to Terabithia was terrible, but I just rad Of Mice and Men by John Steinback. The writing was great, but the story had no plot until the end and killed two dogs, one a little puppy. :( not a good book >:(

message 145: by Mackenzie (new)

Mackenzie Blackwood (mackenzieblackwood) Oh man I didn't like The Death Cure at all either.. Huge disappointment. Also, not sure what all the hype was about Matched by Allie Condie. I did NOT enjoy that book at all.

message 146: by Kelli (new)

Kelli (dolphinie13) | 24 comments I agree with all the Fifty Shades haters! Those books were so poorly written that I felt my IQ slowly leaking out of my ears as I continued to read. I couldn't bring myself to finish the 3rd because it was so bad!
Fifty Shades of Grey (Fifty Shades, #1) by E.L. James

I don't understand why it's even hyped-up....it contains obnoxious abusive relationship. I've seen few girls of my age read it..really? Why are such books even coming in the market that promote such abusive relationship? Why do women find it interesting to read such trash? Don't know what's happening to our world

message 148: by [deleted user] (new)

Eve and Adam by Michael Grant and his wife. The characters were poorly developed, there was next to no plot, and the insta-love was just over the top. I couldn't stand that book.

message 149: by Tracy (new)

Tracy The last two books I read by James Patterson were tripe: Zoo and Beach Road. I also hated Zombie, OH and Blood Red Road. I couldn't get through them.

message 150: by Bat Ma'am (new)

Bat Ma'am (batmaam) | 20 comments the entire Twilight series. including the movie franchise. WHY IS IT SO POPULAR?! I hated the first book and movie but everyone told me "they get better!" and no. they did not. I suffered through the movies only because I felt I needed to see it through.
I also agree with the 50 Shades haters, I barely made it half way through the 1st book. what's the hype about!? There's a movie coming out! ugh..
I'm surprised by the Matched haters, I absolutely loved that series! though I do agree with those of you who don't see what she liked so much about Ky... Xander was my fave character by far!
