I won't pay for an ebook because it feels like I'm paying but then I don't really have the book, just the digital copy.
For new paperbacks and hardbacks I'll pay up to £3 unless I really really want it and I've been waiting for ages, in which case I'll pay up to £20 (not kidding).
For used books I'll pay up to £2, unless it's in really good condition and I really want it.

I know that might sound cheap but I'm a teen so I don't exactly have loads of money to spare on buying books. :)
As for authors if I knew them in person I'd pay the full price, whatever that was, but for authors I only know on Goodreads it depends on the book and the just because the author is nice doesn't mean I'm more likely to buy their book.

I actually don't own an e-reader anyway, just read the occasional free book in my laptop or phone. But the main reason is that if I pay for a book I want to be able to hold it because then it's completely mine and unless someone actually steals it then I can keep it forever. I don't know if you know but Amazon is allowed to take any book off your kindle at any time, and I don't like for a company to have so much power over my books (even if they never use it). Plus, books on shelves look so nice compared to an e reader. They sort of make my room match my personality (someone who loves reading).
I don't read as much as you, only about 7-8 books a month, though last August I read 14, so I guess it shows that I have much more time to read when I'm off school. It does vary though; sometimes I'll read no books for 2 weeks and sometimes I'll read 5 books in a week.
But I get a lot of my books from the library because, like Riya said in another thread, I don't want to spend money on a book I'm not sure will be good. Sometimes I buy the book after reading it from the library just so I can own it and re-read it whenever I want to, but I don't often buy a book I don't know will be good.

Just want to say that I agree with the above comment!! Right on!
Even though, sadly, I don't have that many books because my parents don't "like" to spend money on them and don't allow me to spend my money on them either which really sucks! So I own like a couple maybe. But mainly I buy lots of iBooks because (they don't know!) shhhhhh hahaha!
But I spend A LOT of time in bookstores/libraries and read there. I'm like so sure that the ppl who work at the two book stories that I go to most hate me because I read and like Never! Buy. I mean even I hate me for that!! Blah but blame my parents till I get my own job and own place :/
Phew! A pretty big first comment on here. Sorry!

My dad says (and he's right but) books are heavy therefore they cost more in shipping and because we move like ALOT so that's lots of money to ship books to other places esp. over seas which is our next stop pretty soon.
But my mother just idk she doesn't like my choices I guess and she thinks they make me antisocial but idk not buying them isn't going to make me stop loving them or reading them : )
And god u should hear what's been said about the story I'm writing!! Haha

Okay well when it gets to me getting them on iBooks my mother's reasons come in. Haha it's really a war zone sometimes but i do but lots of my books on iBooks because they are weightless. So ya : ) I prefer and love the paper more but u love with what u have got.
We move for more than one reason really. At first it was due to my dad's job then we got used to it that staying at one place would seem weird/boring for us so we'd move houses but still same city/state sometimes. But a few years ago we changed complete counties because my dad decided to finish his eduction and get his PHD and still we moved lots. I hope that made sense?
And where I am now has been the longest time we have lived in the same house. Almost four years! It's weird! Haha

You edit your picture on your profile (:

Thank for tell me where I can put picture... now I must find good one to show how hot me!!!! Grin!! Thank Camille too!
Sorriiii for bad English! I learn every day to better!

I don't dream anymore. Or if I do I just never remember. So I think it's cool that u can recall ur dreams and that they are adventures.
The last dream I had, during fourth grade, wasn't much. It was actually quite the opposite of fun and sadly it's the only dream I remember and it just had to be the last one! :/

I'm in the middle of a two year trip around the world so I live wherever I happen to be lol! Italy is home for the next month and then Greece for the following month. Eventually I'll go back to Sydney with my Aussie wife :)
Wow, David, that sounds so fun and exciting!
I am in the US- in Florida :)

Unless you like mountains."
I like mountains! Just not the cold! haha
What kind of places do u like??

Have you been to any other African countries?
I never been to Nigeria, but i know its an amazing country and Lagos reminds me of a city in North Africa (even though its not as crowded)

What are you studying?
If its alright to ask, o'course :)

Well, I'm still in school. I still have one more semester of high school. So i pretty much study it all :)

And I never like really translated as a job. I just do it for people who need a "right now" in person translation.
Why did u choose to study what u r studying? I mean there lot of other more exciting things to study, not that this isn't a good choice or anything o'course ; )

HA! You never experience HOT till you come to Texas is August!
