Suggestions! Go!
Depends on when you ask me, but The Handmaid's Tale by Margaret Atwood is always near the top of the list.
Mary Karr's memoir The Liar's Club. She didn't try artificial tricks to keep the reader engaged. I was with her every step of the way.
ONE! Just ONE! Well, if you insist - I Know This Much is True by Wally Lamb
Well, if you liked having your heart wrenched as it was in this book, check out The Kite Runner or pretty much anything by Khaled Hosseini.
The one book everyone should read. That is tough since we're all so different. Killing Lincoln and Killing Kennedy at the top of my list just now. In Lincoln, I found myself saying, "Cancel.Don't go tonight!" Well done, both of them.
Oh there are so many, but I was truly moved by Winds of War / War and Remembrace.
I'm so "tried and true" I go for To Kill a Mockingbird every time.
...I SO want to put ten more titles! LOL

A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini
Cutting for Stone by Abraham Verghese is an amazing book. Also on my list for must read books of all times.
