Lawrence Ambrose (ambrose2014) | 50 comments 5, I guess (a "5" for me is something that doesn't strike me as good, but it's not bad enough by my tastes not to check out the book). The image is fine, but it's a bit dark and not really anything that I can see interesting about it.

This is one of my fave covers. I've tried to emulate it in at least two of my own covers, with questionable success.

G.G. (ggatcheson) | 102 comments 4/10 The concept is good, but the words hiding the face is distracting and I read monkeys instead of workers. (Yeah, I have bad eyesight but still...)

Lawrence Ambrose (ambrose2014) | 50 comments 5. This cover has too many words/things on it, in my view.

K.D. McQuain (kd_mcquain) 5/10
The filigree is nice and the color palette is appealing but the figure in the upper right gets lost. A little more of a profile would help.

I recently released the first book in a series and would love to get some first impressions as I am planning to continue some of the elements throughout the series.

I don't love it, but I'm not really into scary stuff, anyway. (You also forgot to rate Sana's. I'd give it a 7/10. I can't quite work out what the picture is supposed to be, but it's pretty.)

Just from the cover I'd have to say it looks like it would be very funny.

It by Stephen King

message 121: by Cari (new)

Cari Silverwood (carisilverwood) 9/10 for the fantastic details, the restrained colors, the font. For a stephen King book this is perfect. Very mysterious yet there's a creepiness too about that toy near a drain opening. I'd give it ten if it was prettier :)

Everblue (Mer Tales, #1) by Brenda Pandos
