Oh, thank you! I will definitely be looking to read them. I'm surprised, like you, that Legend wasn't part of this group. I liked it better than Divergent-- I think, I read Divergent so long ago-- and much better than Matched.

Yeah, I like Matched and I've read Crossed, but I have Reached reserved at my school library. I am reading Prodigy right now, really good. I loved Divergent and Insurgent but the ending to Allegiant is HORRID!!!

Even though the last book is totally sad it was wonderful at the same time and a lot of important stuff happens, so definitely read!

I read legend this weekend, it was only okay in my opinion. I suggest that all of you read the Darkest Minds series, and The Immortal Rules (blood of eden series) these two are way better then the ones you are talking about in this post.
I loved Divergent and Matched. Another fav is the Delirium Series. I have not read Hunger Games and really don't have the desire to do so. Hated the movie and if a movie cant make me some what interested then I do not hold out hope for the book.

How many books do those series have in them? And even if you did not like the Hunger Games movie, you should give the books a try. They are intense and amazing. :)

Rebecca Smith Darkest mind will be a trilogy as it stands right now with a 1/2 book that comes before the 1st and 2nd book. The Blood of Eden series (immortal rules) has 2 books so far with a 3rd coming out this year, and a prequel book. I will read Hunger Games one day. I just have a lot of others to read first lol.

Thanks for the new titles! I will definitely look into them. I'm not sure why I liked Legend as much as I did, but I remember that I read it in one day and I was surprisingly pleased. So I guess I liked the pace, and I have always loved books written in alternating perspectives.

I listened to it on audio so that may have had something to do with it. The female narrator wasn't all that good. I am going to actually read the other 2 in that series.

Wen Def Divergent, Matched was OK but really just a copy of The Hunger Games and the Hunger Games were ok too but not enough action

message 417: by S (new) - rated it 4 stars

S 1) Divergent (It's one of the only series that I've come across that has good writing and that doesn't have a cliched YA love triangle.
2) Hunger Games (Mockingjay was the slump of the series)
3) Matched (I honestly hated both Crossed and Reached, though Matched was really good.)

Raynebow I HATE IT when people do this, read a book to read a book. if you start comparing it to others your going to hate it. I think all the books are good, but also remember that is subjective. some might hate divergent and love the hungergames, you might hate the hungergames and love divergent. I don't like compareing these series because all 3 are diffrent

Freya 1 Divergent! <3

I really like/love the Hunger Games but I don't want to put Matched as my 3rd one. Okay it's ur opinion if u don't like it. But I really do! I only read the first book but I want to continue.! At first I thought about how boring it is. But it turned out to be quite awesome! How controlled this world is...maybe this will happen to our world too in a few 100 years or something. But yeah. That's my opinion to Matched.

And Divergent is absolutely the BEST! <3

message 436: by Sydney (new) - rated it 1 star

Sydney Alexandra Matched was the worst book I'd ever read. Like EVER. I would give my copy away if I hadn't gotten it signed. Divergent, one of the best books I've EVER read. Read it now. Like Now. Hunger Games is kind of last year. But It's alright. I am just tired of all the obsessed people who don't have variety. so this is the order.

1) Divergent
2) Hunger Games
3) Matched

Tuesday Wow don't even say that I read all of those and I love them so u suck and so did TDT the divergent trilogy

message 438: by Jonida (new) - rated it 4 stars

Jonida Divergent is great but bad ending if u want good ending then matched

Cumberbatchgurl Yay! I finally made an account.

I would say..
1. Divergent? (I haven't finished the last two so I might like it less after I read the next)
2. Matched
3. The Hunger Games

The HG tril was annoying after the first one. I was bored during Catching Fire until the action starts happening, and Mockingjay seemed sort of powerful after reading it, but it wasn't the best..now I can't even remember what happens. People die a lot and stuff. But I do see why others would like it-lots of philosophical meaning behind things.

Matched, though the the characters aren't quite as developed the same way they are in Divergent, has interesting characters and plot twists that make it interesting. It's sort of cool to see how things all tie together and I just love Cassia and Ky's relationship sort of. Although the love-triangle isn't the most original thing, I feel like being able to see things from the point of views of several characters is super cool. Definitely a page-turner series! It deserves way more publicity and stuff in my opinion than it has right now. I want them to make a movie so bad..I think Disney already bought the rights though..oh no!

Divergent was such an amazing book-I feel like it's mostly because Four is awesome in every way. I have started Insurgent but I'm not very far, so we shall see whether I like it! Tris' character is very inspiring, and the different factions sort of make sense and their values can be related to by most any reader. This was DEFINITELY the most addicting book to read like ever, and I'm so glad I chose to read it!

All in all, maybe save divergent for last if you can, because it is the best in my opinion.

Sampetrusch matched and ithink iy is xander

message 443: by Jen (new) - rated it 4 stars

Jen The first Divergent was by far my favorite book and movie of the three. The entire Hunger Games trilogy is my favorite series, however, and I couldn't get into Matched, stopped after the first book.

message 444: by Julie (new) - rated it 5 stars

Julie Malcolm I haven't read The Hunger Games, couldn't finish Divergent and found Matched quite thought provoking. So Matched comes top for me.

message 449: by sim (new) - rated it 1 star

sim Matched is the like the crappiest book I ever had the misfortune of reading. I honestly don't know how I finished it...I think my eyes bled +_+
And Hunger Games was AWESOME! It was the beginning of dystopian books and Suzanne Collins did a splendid job though I admit Mockingjay was a bit off :P
Okay, Divergent: Nowadays, I don't recommend the trilogy to anyone as Allegiant positively sucked and RUINED the whole series for me! Seriously VR: WTF happened? :O But don't get me wrong, the first two books were great conceptually and otherwise :)
But in the end, its HG that rules!! :D

Holly Ryanne I really enjoyed the Matched trilogy, although I didn't like the way it wrapped up.
