Gisbelle | 25787 comments Yeah, what a shame! I love her other book Almost by Anne Eliot though.

message 2602: by Mehsi (new)

Mehsi Indeed, and I saw so many people who liked it (and the cover was nice). Oh that book sounds quite nice, I might try it out. Thanks.

I thought CoG was the best one of the series! :) enjoooy."

Omg, I can't wait to meet Sebastian!!!"

Once you meet him you'll want to unmeet him! LOL!

I agree, best of the series!

message 2604: by Becky (new)

Becky (booklovingcoffeeaddict) | 4889 comments I finally finished Middle Ground (Awaken, #2) by Katie Kacvinsky and now have the agonizing wait for #3....

Working on City of Fallen Angels (The Mortal Instruments, #4) by Cassandra Clare and Sweet Evil (The Sweet Trilogy, #1) by Wendy Higgins (loving it!) and going to finish up my re-read of New Moon (Twilight, #2) by Stephenie Meyer .

I need someone to invent a time-expander so I have unlimited time to read and still be a productive person!

message 2605: by Katherine (new)

Katherine | 2740 comments Finished reading: The Girl Who Was Supposed to Die by April Henry

Now reading: In the Shadow of Blackbirds by Cat Winters

message 2606: by Jacquelyn, thebrunettebooknerd (new)

Jacquelyn (jacquelynreads) | 18790 comments I dropped The Program (The Program, #1) by Suzanne Young . May pick it up later but it isn't interesting to me at all right now.

I am reading Life As We Knew It (Last Survivors, #1) by Susan Beth Pfeffer and then going to continue on with The Ward (The Ward, #1) by Jordana Frankel for a buddy read. Gisbelle and I are so confused and not really liking it! :/

message 2607: by Vicki (last edited Aug 17, 2013 07:37AM) (new)

Vicki (goodreadscomboobooper49) | 31156 comments I have had a hard time focusing on my reading so I am working on a few books: Slide (Slide, #1) by Jill Hathaway for a Pick Me a Winner read (due a couple days ago) Sweet Venom (Medusa Girls, #1) by Tera Lynn Childs for a buddy read and I want to read City of Bones (The Mortal Instruments, #1) by Cassandra Clare before the movie comes out and then I have 3 other really good books that I read some, set aside, and need to finish: Losing Hope (Hopeless, #2) by Colleen Hoover One Tiny Lie (Ten Tiny Breaths, #2) by K.A. Tucker and Altered (Altered, #1) by Jennifer Rush . I like all of these books but just can't seem to focus.

message 2608: by Mehsi (new)

Mehsi Dropped Boys, Bears, Hiking boots book. :\

Going to read (soon): TMI by Patty Blount and also The First Days (As the World Dies, #1) by Rhiannon Frater

message 2609: by Sarah (new)

Sarah Ryan | 1 comments I am currently reading Paper towns by John Green!!

message 2610: by Mehsi (new)

Mehsi The first days was pretty gore, so I am putting it on hold and will read: Flip This Zombie (Living with the Dead, #2) by Jesse Petersen

message 2611: by Mehsi (new)

Mehsi Well that Flip this zombie was another case of second-book-in-a-series-syndrome. I really liked the first 70 or so pages, but as soon as that bratty The Kid came around... no thank you. I was seriously annoyed by that kid/character. Dropped. :\

message 2612: by Gisbelle (new)

Gisbelle | 25787 comments I have to agree with you, Mehsi. That kid character bugged me big time :( I had to abandon the series after this book.

Now I'm reading Karma Bites by Nyrae Dawn which I really like!

message 2613: by Mehsi (new)

Mehsi I am glad I am not the only one disliking that character.

Oh that book sounds nice. Might check it out too, let me know what you thought of it. :)

message 2614: by Gisbelle (new)

Gisbelle | 25787 comments Of course. Abby, the main character, is pretty funny. I'm almost half way and hope to finish it before lunch, if possible :)

message 2615: by Mehsi (new)

Mehsi Thanks, and oh I like characters that are funny. Enjoy the book. :)

message 2616: by Jacquelyn, thebrunettebooknerd (new)

You're welcome! Thanks I hope so too. Though so far TMI is pretty boring, and I am not so sure about Awesome Mess. :( It is not a good book time for me now it seems.

message 2626: by Teresa (new)

Teresa Kennedy | 2 comments Just wanted to offer the group a chance at a title I just finished.COUNTRYSIDE by J.T.Cope IV. A lot of authors have tried to emulate Rowling's world of H.P., but no one that I've ever come across has actually tied to re-invent it. Until now...if I had to sum it up, I'd say it's a truly AMERICAN Harry Potter. It takes place in a small town in Texas, and for 11-year old Luke, burgers and fries and cowboys form the backdrop for a really remarkable coming of age novel where 11-year old Luke is about to discover the power within. Here's the trailer:

Mehsi Haven't had much time to read (was cheering for and watching my boyfriend play games). But I am still reading (trying to read): TMI by Patty Blount and A Really Awesome Mess by Trish Cook . Not really sure about both, so I might just put them on-hold and read something different.

message 2628: by Trisha, lives on coffee (new)

It's really sad. :( I feel bad for them. But it's a really good book!

message 2650: by Marie (new)

Marie | 56 comments I finished The Raven Boys and..argh...was a dissapointement. I thought the plot was boring (it did pick up towards the end but it was too late for me to care...) and I didn't care about any of the characters. All the boys perspectives sounded the same despite the fact that they had such different backgrounds....

I'm about to start Bittersweet by Sarah Ockler and Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (Harry Potter, #1) by J.K. Rowling . I'm exited since it's the first time that I'll read Harry Potter in english.
