I can totally see why everyone is reading them. the only reason that i started reading the raven boys was that my aunt got a signed copy of the second one for Christmas ( she always gives me a book for Christmas, she is the only person who gets me books for Christmas in my family) and i was already planning on reading the series at some point so i decided to read it for a challenge and it was very good. I just finished it this morning. Now i just have to find the second book when i go to my grandparents house this weekend.

message 6370: by Marybeth (new)

Marybeth (narutofan14) So i finished The Raven Boys (The Raven Cycle, #1) by Maggie Stiefvater and it was very good. I am now trying to finish up Throne of Glass (Throne of Glass, #1) by Sarah J. Maas on my iPod. I also just went to the library and got 11 more beautiful covers. here they are:
1. Atlantia by Ally Condie (which i will be reading tonight)
2. A Discovery of Witches (All Souls Trilogy, #1) by Deborah Harkness ( the book was a lot bigger than i thought it would be)
3. Tabula Rasa by Kristen Lippert-Martin
4. Dorothy Must Die (Dorothy Must Die, #1) by Danielle Paige
5. The Selection (The Selection, #1) by Kiera Cass
6. Blackout (Blackout, #1) by Robison Wells
7. The Fault in Our Stars by John Green
8. Ghost Town (The Morganville Vampires, #9) by Rachel Caine ( for my series)
9. Killing Britney by Sean Olin
10. A Game of Thrones (A Song of Ice and Fire, #1) by George R.R. Martin
11. After the End (After the End #1) by Amy Plum
Of course with my exams coming up i wont be doing as much reading just yet but i will be doing some.

message 6371: by Annie (new)

Annie (meltedasrai) I'm reading Horns right now and I'm very conflicted by whether or not I like it.

I can't think of any reasons I wouldn't like it, and there are plenty of reasons I should. I just don't. I'm quite confused by this.

How did you like Born at midnight? I ordered the first two last year and i have yet to read it. Too many other books are getting in the way. I hope that when i go on break for a month i will be able to at least start it since all of the books i own are in many of my challenges that i am working on.

message 6384: by Carolina (new)

Carolina (unbroken21) | 4 comments I am currently reading Dorothy Must Die by Danielle Paige.
At first I was iffy about reading this because of the original Wizard of Oz. I'm not a big fan of changes.
BUT OH MY GOD I LOVE IT! I am almost done with it too. I just need 100 pages or so. I love Amy Gumm and the character Nox. Also, Ollie is my favorite. And I just love where this story is going. What makes me sad is that there is no sequel yet and I really want a sequel because Danielle Paige is a genius and I love this twist with the world of Oz!!!!
Totally recommend!!

I dident think the shadowe cabinet was out unntil next year. Do you have an arc or are you just really lucky?

message 6387: by Mehsi (last edited Nov 24, 2014 02:51AM) (new)

Mehsi Nope no ARC, I got the paperback here. :) No clue why, but amazon.de delivered it to me last week. :) And even if they list it still as Februar 2015 (just checked the site), it seems the book is out and they have them in stock.

Nice. On bookdepository is says it comes out in april.

message 6389: by Mehsi (new)

Mehsi It is really confusing though, why would Amazon.de has them in stock and other sites not? I can imagine a month earlier, but almost 3 to 4 months?

I preorder things all the time, true its not always it comes on time(which you kind of expect from a preorder) but still its nice to know that the book is on the way to you. :D and its such a nice feeling when you get a preorder a few days early, that has happened to me. and I love it :D

I agree. I always like pre-ordering books, because it feels like the book already belongs to you (even though it isn't physically at your place yet).
It is a wonderful feeling and I love it too. :)
