((Haha, no your good. :))Echo stared at the wings. How could she have not sensed it earlier? She was prone to that kind of stuff. "Our kind?" She spat. What Ma said should have put Echo in her place. But it only angered her more. "So if you were threatening to tell the government, why didn't you do it now or when you escaped. It you really hate the school as much as me, which isn't likely, you would have gone straight to the government as soon as you were freed. There were many routes you could have taken to stop this," she said angrily. Despite her anger, her voice never raised
As soon as Alex got far enough in the woods she flew up in a tree and waited for the others.

Ma sighed. "After I escaped, I went to the President." She grit her teeth. "And they threw me out. Turns out, they already knew about it and were secretly giving them money to continue. I was infuriated. How could someone who led our country support something like that? I couldn't wrap my mind around it." She shook her head. "I went around getting proof and tried to expose it to the media. All of it was covered. Every single place I would go to, the government covered it up. So I stopped fighting. Well, publicly at least. I convinced some scientists to aid escapes while I got the kids to not be found again. It started a whole underground railroad. My brother must've knew it was me but he couldn't get me, I was too determined to rescue every single child. Since then, technology has increased and they tightened up on security. It's been hard on my son and his cohorts but they manage with what they can."
((Yes!))Echo sighed. "How do I know your not making this up. I see you have wings, but its easy to make up a convient story," she said tiredly. She didn't want to deal with this. She wanted the school gone, done. Maybe it wasn't that she didn't want to deal with all this, but she refused to believe it. Was the world really that corrupt?

((Much more interesting. :))Echo stared at Pa, and realized it was rude. Maybe she was telling the truth. She averted her gaze down and sighed. "I don't know if I believe you, no scratch that. I believe you, but that doesn't mean you have my trust. Just my ears. For now, don't blow it," she said tiredly

Gem was processing everything in her head.

She felt like she was being rude. She should really be grateful for what Ma and Pa have done for them, but couldn't. What Ma said was still to fresh in her mind

Pa nodded. "Okay, it'll be a surprise then." he walked back in the house and Ma did too.
Gem waited for Ma and Pa to be further inside before turning to Echo. "Wow. I didn't think this world could get any more messed up. Looks like it just did..." She ran a hand through her hair and sat on the porch swing.

Gem pushed back and forth on the porch swing idly. "What do you guys think about all of this?".
Snow thought over and sighed "Good, their good"
Echo shrugged and sighed before sitting next to Gem on the swing. "Good isn't a word I would use. This is so screwed up," she mumbled. "I honestly don't know what to think. Their story adds up, they seem like they are telling the truth. But I can't trust them. Not with just a story," she added weakly

Echo nodded in agreement. "I think that's the best option. We can sneak out tonight," she suggested. "If it's true that Mas brother has the place bugged, who knows if erasers are on their way. And if Ma is telling the truth, and she is against te school and everything, then her bother will be out to get her. He could be sending people out stop her from resisting. Which would only put the flock in danger," she pointed out

Gem stood up from the swing slowly and stretched. She walked into the house. The smell of food was overwhelming. Her mouth watered slightly as she walked towards the table. Shepherd's pie was piled high on each dish and two huge bowls, mashed potatoes and green beans, sat in the center of the table with spoons in them. A big glass of sweet tea was at everyone's place setting.
Echo followed Gem inside. The smell was overwhelming, too good to be true. When she went the the table, she found the smell to be quite accurate. They had prepared a wonderful meal. Now Echo felt guilty for taking advantage of them. She pushed that down an went to take a seat at the table. Her mouth was watering, tastebuds tingling

Echo snuck a side glance at Gem. She seemed to be amazed with the food just as Echo was. As soon as everyone was seated, she started eating. Forcing herself to take smaller, slower bites to keep herself from gorging it all

Pa walked in and smiled. "Y'all liking the food? Need anything else?"
Echo smiled. "Very nice. Wonderful, even. There isn't a word to describe how good this is. Thanks Pa," she said honestly. "But I think we are good for now," she added before eating more

Gem continued to eat and thought about that they needed a map. She almost called him back back but decided to wait until they were done with dinner.

Snow finshed and quickly did them. she sat down next to germ and sighed softly
Echo continued eating. How could they already be done? She piled up a third plate, smaller then her first two serving. She ate it just as quickly though and followed Gems lead, taking her finished dishes to the sink and rinsing them off before sitting back down by the others.

Echo snuck one more piece of food before joining Gem in the living room on the couch. She glanced back at the kitchen before pulling out the piece of paper with the locations from the library. "What do you think about all these?" She asks Gem as she over the paper

Echo nodded. "This many isn't right. So many people can't be that willing to support the One Light. They are basically agreeing to suicide," she noted

She cut off her observation because Pa walked by.
Echo nodded. "I was thinking we should go out to the store tomorrow too," she responded when she heard Pa come in. If they just stopped their conversation it would sound weird

Gem nodded at Echo and turned to say to Pa, "Pa wait. Do you happen to have any maps?"
Pa nodded. "Yep, I sure do. If only I could remember where I put 'em..." He tapped his chin. He was curious as to where they were going but he didn't ask questions like Ma would've. He was too soft spoken.
Echo smiled. "Thanks. Would you need help looking for them?" She offered casually
((Your post actually confirmed that much hadn't happened. Alex is still in a tree and the flock is at Ma and Pa's. Right?))
Snow sighed she ran her fingers through her hair, she was trying hard to shift inato any animal it just wasn't working

Pa smiled, he knew what she was doing but he didn't really have anything to hide from them anymore. He smiled, "Sure darlin'."
Gem stood up. "I'll help too."
Echo nodded and stood up. "Do you know where you had one last? Or a place we could check or something?"

Gem smiled,"I'll start looking if that's okay with you."
He nodded as he walked up the stairs. "Go ahead honey."
Echo nodded. "Alright," she said as Pa went up the stairs

Gem gaped at first and then closed her mouth. She did not expect that.
