((Yeah, Im not a big fan of that kind of stuff either. Musicals never were my favorite. Gosh, high school musical. A living nightmare..))

Ma eyed them again. She didn't appreciate the bad-mouthing and lying from them. She took a deep breath and walked back into the kitchen shaking her head.

Gem ate her food quickly and quietly. She stared into space with her eyebrows slightly furrowed.

Echo watched Ma walk away and shrugged. Sure she felt bad, but this was who she was. Deal with it... "Whats up Gem?" she whispered to her, seeing her thinking face

((I judged Les Mis before I saw it, thinking that it was going to be cheesy and boring. Wow, was I entirely wrong. I cried like a baby, which I don't do during movies. It is probably one of the best movies I've ever seen. It's not a happy movie, it's incredibly heart wrenching. But it is amazing with all the great acting and singing. I am not one for musicals but it was incredible. It makes you realize many things about life. I highly recommend it. Sorry for my rambling:)))

Gem looked at Echo. "Umm...just thinking." She would elaborate later. She finished her plate and took a roll. As she chewed, she continued to think.

Echo nodded, knowing she didn't want to explain with all the people around. Echo finished her second plate and nibbled on a piece of garlic bread

Gem finished and sat back in her chair.

Ma walked in and collected the empty plates. "Y'all want dessert?" She asked setting down a big fresh apple pie.

Echo's eyes widened, "You bet!" she exclaimed

Ma cut Echo a heafty slice and placed it on a plate for her with a dollop of whipped cream on the top. She gave the rest of them equally huge pieces and walked out again.

Gem said,"thanks Ma." Through a mouthful. And are more of the delicious pie.

[Maddy]

Echo nodded, "Yeah, thanks," she said with a mouthful of pie. She sighed happily and grinned. She swallowed and took another, equally large piece, giggling like a little kid. No wonder she didn't have sugar often

Gem didn't even look up at Ivie. She continued eating her pie. "Echo," she said looking up. "You know what sugar does too you." She tried to give a fake scolding glare but ended up laughing.

[Sierra]

Alex started on her their wide of dessert.

Echo laughed, "What ever do you mean?" she asked innocently and smiled

Gem raised her eyebrows in a You know exactly what I mean look. She laughed lightly and pushed her plate back. She was finished and sad. She wished she could eat more but she was actually full…for the moment.

Echo smiled ad scraped the last bit of pie from her plate and stuffed it into her mouth happily

Gem wanting to somehow thank Ma, picked up her empty dishes. She placed them in the kitchen sink and walked back into dining room.

Gem picked Ivie's plates up with a sigh. She went upstairs to the bedroom set up for them. She sat on the window sill and hung her feet out the window, letting them dangle aimlessly.

Snow smiled and thank Ma and Pa she walk around

Gem continued to stare into space hanging out of the window.

Echo took her plate to the sink and rinsed it off. It took her a minute to figure out how to use the faucet, but she cleaned off her plate and thanked Ma and Pa. Then she went upstairs and found Gem. Echo leaned against the door frame and knocked lightly twice

Alex looked at her plate in shrugged. She dropped it on the ground and dusted her hands off skipping upstairs.

Echo came in and was about to make a smart remark, but she saw Gem's face and closed her mouth. "You alright?" she asked instead and sat down near her

"Yeah I'm fine. I'm just going over a lot of things at once in my head."Gem said with a reassuring smile.

Echo nodded, "What kind of things?" she asked

[Gabby, {Live Life to the Max}]

"Well, things like the plan for going to the One Light headquarters, how Snow can change forms which which may be able to be used for advantage or not, can we trust Ma and Pa, and I really don't like wearing all this crap on my face. The last part not as important as the rest but still annoying. More stuff too." Gem sighed and ran her fingers through her hair. There was one thing still bugging her the most out of all of those examples.

[Maddy]

Echo smiled at the last one, "Don't worry. It will all be alright. Just don't stress yourself out too much. Your not alone." she said, "And... whats bugging you the most," she added as if she read Gems mind, but obviously couldnt

Gem smiled at Zach weakly and looked at Echo with upset eyes. "You could've died earlier Echo." She said barely audible.

[Maddy]

Echo frowned, "How so?" she asked, eyebrow raised

[Gabby, {Live Life to the Max}]

"You know, at dinner...It's been really bothering me. What if something would've happened to you? I know nothing happened but what if it killed you? I'd never be able to live myself Echo. Don't do anything like that again, okay?" She didn't know why she was getting so worked up over something so small when they went into more dangerous situations practically every day.

[Maddy]

Echo smiled faintly, "I knew it wasn't poisoned," she offered. But knew that was a lie. If she hadn't tasted it, more of the flock members could have ended up dead. She was about to say so but the words got caught in her throat

Gem gave her a look. "I should've been the one to do it Echo." Her voice was shaking. "You didn't know if it was poisoned our not. I should've been the one to do it." Her voice broke. "I don't know what I would've done if something had happened to you. Your my best friend Echo. My sister..."

Echo hugged Gem, "But if you did it, the situation would be reversed." she argued lightly

Gem hugged her back. "Well," she said wiping her eyes and smiling. "We both don't try it then. Let's have Snow' s fox test everything first." She was joking but she seriously didn't want Echo doing something like that again.

Echo chuckled lightly, "If it means that much to you," she half teased in a light southern accent

Gem's face went serious. "It does Echo..." She took a deep breath, hugged Echo again, and smiled. "What do you wanna do now?"

Echo hated things when they got serious. It just wasn't something she was comfortable handling. Life was easier when people joked around and laughed. She hugged Gem back and met her smile, "Hmm," she tapped her chin twice, "Anything," she shrugged

"So if I said I wanted to.......mattress slide down the stairs on my head, you'd say sure?"

[Maddy]

Echo looked at Gem and said, "Honey, you cant afford to loose anymore brain cells," she teased

Gem stuck out her tongue and smiled. "I wouldn't talk if I were you missy."

"But your not me. So I will talk," Echo protested jokingly

Gem laughed. She stiffled a yawn. She was tired but she didn't want to sleep

"You sure you don't want to use that mattress for something else?" Echo teased, but she was equally tired, just didn't show it
