Should I read?

Well it's definitely true that the last book isn't as good as the first two but it's still worth reading. If you do decide to read the series then read The Kill Order last otherwise it might ruin the books. One of the reasons the series is good is the mystery of what's happening and if you read the prequel first it might spoil it.
Edit - Actually, there's no need to read The Kill Order at all. It's a completely different story with completely different characters and it's only purpose is to tell the reader how everything started.

I actually didn't like the second book and loved the first and third :) I didn't read The Kill Order. Personally I liked having a lot of mystery still at the end of the third. It was messier but worked for me :)
Thanks for the info. I just bought the trilogy. I am excited about it. I have a feeling I'm going to follow in Dave's foot steps and not read The Kill Order. I like not knowing too! I'm going to send you a message after I finish the trilogy and let you know what I thought.Once again thanks for pushing me over the edge to get me to buy the,
Tony
LOVED this series....it is one of my faves to be honest. The first book and the second are incredible. The third I felt dragged on TOO much in the middle and rushed through ending. The first book Kill Order is very good, however it does indeed tie in 1 of the characters from the second book AND it is nice not knowing how things started etc and learning them along the way. Read Kill Order though, just last. I liked it better than the 3rd book.
oh and check their FB page for the lost files. They are published in some copies of some of the books including Kill Order
I think you should really give it a try!The ending of the third book was indeed a bit disappointing, but that is no reason to not read an overall great series :)
I have not read Kill Order, so I can't say anything about that.
Gone is quite good but the rest of that series is great! The first one was my least favourite because it felt more like a middle grade book than a YA one but all the others are more mature. But if you don't like gore and stuff then I wouldn't advise you to read the series because it can get really gruesome at times, with kids dying in horrible ways.
You should totally get it!!!! I loved it!!!!Everyone should read both The Maze Runner series and the Gone series :D
I'll get it when I finish with the ones I'm reading now (the maze runner, shatter me and some others). :0
I agree with David. The second book was a little disappointing. But the whole series was still really good. I have yet to read The Kill Order, but it is on my list of to-read books.

1) From the reviews I've read the first 2 books were/are amazing. However the 3rd book is pretty disappointing. (for me I can relate it the the hunger games) going off of my feelings of the Hunger Games I could've read the first 2 books and been happy, The 3rd book i felt was boring and I truly hated the ending. Do I regret reading it? I would answer that by saying no but it's close.
It seems from what I read there are many questions unanswered in the 3rd book which the the final installment in the series.
2) Should I read the Kill Order 1st or last or at all.
Answering these questions and giving your opinion will make my decision a lot easier. I've been wanting to read it for a while now but I had other books to read. and I wasn't sure which book to read first? The order it came out or the how the books are time lined?
One more note about me. I like being in suspense and not knowing what happened to cause the plague or whatever. I liked questioning what's happened and not being handed all the answers up front. However I NEED closure! I don't like the whole open ended make up your own ending thing. It's your story you tell me how it ends.
So whats your opinion on the matter?
