Question Of The Day
Do you have any of these habits!? How does it affect your everyday life!?http://www.bustle.com/articles/73315-...
Ok, I'll give you lugging books around, absent-minded for damn sure, lol, over emotional reactions, for sure on the anger at the adaptations(save for Practical Magic which I heard sucked as a book but I never read it to know for sure, and Stardust as both versions rock), semi use anything for a bookmark, and semi on the broke cause of the book buying. Everything else is for the hardcore fans I guess, lol.
*Raises hand* I'm definitely guilty of completely zoning out while reading a book. In the middle of schoolroom class parties and family gatherings, no less. XDAnd I may or may not be guilty of using almost anything as a bookmark. >.>
Luckily, though, I've only been known to lug around one book at a time. Everything else on the list ... okay, so I'm not all that hardcore, lol.
But what kinda scares me, is that over half that list describes my mother. She is definitely a bookaholic.
No kidding! XDHeck, my mom freely admits that she will read ANYTHING. Including obscure journals. XD
Oh awesome. Then she would be great to have along on a road trip or an archaeology dig or something. Easily entertained and informative in one. :)
carrying a book or two if i have my bag with me, prob spend somewhat more on books than i should esp since the library in town sucks horribly when it comes to having books, literary references would be a once in a blue moon joke between me and someone else who read the same book(s) if it was one that was a major favorite, absent mindedness whether theres books or not LOL -dead- and over emotional fangirl moments of excitement XD. and the rest of the things on the list are a no on my end lol
I'm guilty of a few of these but the ones that resonate most are the overspending and being absent-minded. Goodness I'm terrible when it comes to those lol
Haha yep it's our Shari-berry. I'd love to see one with out her hands up to her face. Although I did see the one pic you had up on your profile. And I swear you and your sis could be twins on there Shari, haha.
Lol yes tis me! ^_^I hadn't changed my pro pic in awhile but this is an old pic though. I haven't taken any new ones of myself lately. At least not any that would be appropriate for a social site for book nerds.
And yeah I get that a lot about me and my sister. Throw my momma in and it's like triplets. lol
Lol I hate taking pictures. I have to do something that isn't just me staring at the camera and smiling. It usually resorts in me putting my hands up to my face.
Aww, from that one pic I mentioned you look great, which ever one of you are, lol. But yea I hate pics most times too. Either my hair is not done, I'm not in the best light, or my lovely adult acne is doing more waving than I am. Now I just grab the dog as a distraction piece. She doesn't mind...much. :P
LOL ure better than my mom about that at least shari. she would just as soon kill u before she takes a pic so i have veryyyyyyyyyy few of herpfft sis takes cute pics dont listen to her! haha

In the right lighting sis, it's alll in the right lighting, otherwise I'm Shreking it, lol.
Since my husband gifted me my kindle I am more relaxed about carrying books around. I still do but only one I am reading at the time. I am a book horder, so yes I have piles of books in my place, a lot of them unread, yet.I do zone out and at emotional scenes I tend to get agressive towards interrupters (people who dare to interrupt my reading).
I don't gift books though, because I don't know many people who would care for books as much as I do.
I'll second ya on the gifting Manuela. Everyone else I know in real time is all about eating out, electronics, etc. So definitely NOT feeling the books either really. But I still remember one of my tutors from back in middle school or so, getting me books as a gift. That was sooo awesome.

lmao aws noooo ure pretty sis XD
ik some ppl irl who like to read but not as much and not the same stuff really. as far as book gifting goes thats not really a good idea for the ppl ik other than one person as long as its a gift card for the kindle

That's sweet sis. But yea just something I've accepted. Gotta get the good light to bring out my good side. Bring out my cuteness all the more. :D Other wise I'm just looking rather "interesting" to say the least haha. And not the good kind.
New Question:Quick check in question with those that participated with the spring edition of Secret Book Santa this time around. Where we listed 10 books to choose from and actually read a total of 7. Was curious how folks liked that as opposed to the fewer books that we have chosen before in past SBS challenges. More challenging? Less challenging? Like to hear from you guys. Like to know before next week, as that will be when I'll be opening up the summer sign ups.
cant really give much of an opinion since i had hit a reading slump and just been busy irl or else id answer that question lol sorry e.e
>.> YES! e.e i miss mercy.... i miss the 100... -falls face first onto the floor, planting palm loudly on the ground- what do i do with my life now LOLL

>.> NOTHING can replace the 100. LOL dude i compare everything to it now. i dont even get as excited over got and bitten now -falls over-
Dhfan4life wrote: "Yep list 7 and read 5."Lol I don't think I can answer either since I never finish my challenge. I should be ashamed
Kat♐♐Fan of Styxx,Sav,Ash, Jaden♐♐ wrote: "Question when is the next secret santa? You've told me before but I've forgotten."I do believe signups start next week
Yep, sign ups start next Monday Kat. Just so I can see how many is joining in and who all I can match up evenly and all that fun stuff.
You pick x amount of books, list them in the sign up thread, I give you a partner, you pick another x amount of books from each other's selections. Send those picks to me in a private message on here. When I have all or close to everyone's selections in. I will reveal them to everyone and then you get reading on the first of the new season. Runs for 3 months. Can read whatever in between books. Main point is read and share your thoughts in the challenge thread. Might interest others enough to check out the books your reading too. Actually a lot easier than I've probably been explaining it. So sorry about that.
Shari-amor wrote: "Because you have things to do. Lots of things. Important things."But don't we all and we still be stuck on GR like a bunch of flies on sticky paper, lol. Just can add some books to go with that sticky paper.
Shari-amor wrote: "Because you have things to do. Lots of things. Important things.">.> what kinda important things?
-makes notes-
*Lists important things* 1. Very important moving around
2. Very important errands
3. Semi important social event
4. Extremely important food consum
5. Kinda important cleaning
-writes down the important things and folds the piece of paper in four. places the paper on a table across the room. proceeds to open an energy drink and a bag of oreos. plops down on the floor, eating and drinking while staring at the folded paper on the table-

Oh you talking the auto pilot stuff...booooo
old question: since my mom is still here I probably won't be able to finish my seventh book, but only because the book I have to read is only on my laptop and I can't carry it with me all the time. I don't mind 10/7, depending on what I have to do.new Question: thanks for reminding me I will check in next week to get myself registered again. ;)

I was fine with the pick-10-and-read-7, but I think I'll be sitting out this round and then sign up in the fall. Got a few other projects to work on. ;)
