haha wow just didnt know they had such a thing is all

And yea they have all kinds of flavors of stuff these days. Heck I'm even almost tempted to try the Reese's mini oreo and I'm not even a major Oreo fan to begin with.

I'm not even a major coconut fan, given how they cut them for pies here at times and I often choke on a sliver at times, without fail lol. But even I have to admit Almond Joys are delish.

One thing I cannot stand is coconut rice! it was something my mum made for us and I hated it but we had to eat what we were given.

oooh its bc she doesnt buy them LOL -dead- e.e. omg rofl u poor thing

New Question(s):
This could just be a reader observation. But has anyone ever thought that maybe authors do a crappy kind of first book with enough points to keep the reader baited to keep up with the rest of the series, on purpose?
Or just a sign that the author truly had a good idea but it just naturally gets better as time goes along and the author evolves more in their writing skills?

Then there are authors; Christine Feehan whose books seem the same through out the series

When a first book comes out, it's often unsure if there will be more than 3. Sometimes you're not sure if there will be more than that very first one. Rather than invest a lot of time in building up a series, a lot of first-time authors will cram everything into that first book. Which I think is a mistake.
In my own series, I had no idea what it would become when I started it. Literally, no idea. It's become this huge world that's getting bigger with every book
When you do it right, as the author, with each new book you find new layers to explore and build on. That's what makes DH and The League work so well. She's always findings new layers and new characters who constantly change things. From what I've heard, Ward and Feehan don't do that. (I've only read one book from each of those, and it's not likely I'll ever read anymore from Ward and I KNOW I'm never reading a Feehan book again)
Doing a crappy first book on purpose, or not providing any kind of satisfactory conclusion to the plot and relationship is calling your reader stupid, IMO. It's not something I ever want to be guilty of as an author.

- I do read the back of the book (or whereever I find the freakin' blurb) and if I like what I read, I read the book. If the book supplies what it promises I have no qualm to go back to the beginning and deal with an underdeveloped book. Not that I found certain authors suffer from bad writing in the beginning. Some do so during a series.
- The usual way to read a first book in a series is to make it available for free (very attractive incentive for me to get and read it) but I do find that even if the book has potential if the writing is bad, the editing shocking, the mistakes (grammar, spelling, he/she mistakes) do pile up I don't care if the second book is for free or not, I will not continue reading the series.
- A crappy book cannot be salvaged by good ideas alone, especially when it ends on a stupid cliffhanger. They are annoying in good books, in bad ones it is an interest killer of highest proportions.
Now I have read quite a few bad books since I started on amazon and I am blaiming self publishing for it. As an avid reader I am well aware that we all have stories in our heads that want to get out and published. Mine is full of it and people have told me repeatedly I should write. I do not because I lack the discipline and the inclination to learn the business of writing properly. I cannot phatom any writer who really wants to be successful to deliver an average work in the beginning just to be out and in the open if the chances are (even if the books get better) that noone will touch their second or third book. With the amount of books out to read it would be literary suicide before they even have spread their wings.
I think series are overrated and I guess to a big part a money making device. Where are the stand alones, who knock me off my feet?

Although, I gotta admit, the idea sounds kinda intriguing. What a shame I'm already hooked up, lol. XD

And although I don't know most of the folks I've seen in passing that have posted some of the more "revealing" pics I've seen on here lately(not in this group, but GR in general). I think they definitely more than ready for some dating or something around here lol.

*Snickersnort* ROFLMAO! "booky call". XD
Although, I'll admit, in reality that would just add to the creepiness of the whole thing. O.O
If I were currently single, I'd probably be intrigued. As it is ... yeah no. And like y'all, I'm really not keen on this turning into a non-book website.
(But I'm still convinced that this is one heck of an April Fool's joke, lol. XD)
