LOL :I. -pats- its okies. we'll be sure to put a nice big bow on the book for u aha... merry early christmas XD

heres something i just remembered and forgot about bc it was a while back. they wanted eric from true blood too

agreed. its hard for me to watch a movie that was made on a book if the main chars are famous actors and actresses. takes a while to get into.

LOL dont die! sis and i wont have anyone to post awesome reviews! haha

I think it's not just the sex really. I mean true from what sis said it could very well end up turning out to be a porn. Or even about nudity in general really. Given how they aren't shy about sharing boobs and other sexual acts in most flicks. But I think for most celebs too, could be they don't want to be a part of something they don't really understand either. I mean there are so many people out there that still don't quite get the lifestyle of what BDSM and kinkier sexual choices of others. Add to that, how many have said(people in general) that 50 Shades is soooooooooo not an accurate portrayal of the BDSM lifestyle.
And to play a part in that for someone that is more well known. I think they might feel like they are in support of this "abusive" story. And probably can't hack how that would affect their image. Hence I said earlier. With less well known peeps, whom may still feel the same as the more well known actors too privately, but for the less well knowns. Those that are truly hungry to make it in that industry. I think they are still going to be hungry enough to get out there and make a name for themselves that they are going to willing to be a bit more bold and daring. To possibly show they can act in ANY thing and be known as someone that is not pigeon-holed by particular roles. But I'm sure after some more hard work and time in their field, even they don't wish to be THAT daring after a while once they get on more steadier ground with their careers. Unless it is in roles where they can get a little dirty, ugly, or something like that to get their Oscars.

true sis XD

lmao omg they need to make a commercial about that or make a cliche of it in a movie

Hell's yes. I mean I loves my chocolate too. But I can't just see eating just any kind of cream filled chocolate anything just cause it's chocolate. And folks need to be honest, those raspberry and orange cream flavors are gross!!!

And for everything else there is a taser. :D

I have a VERY strong opinion about these books being not just trash, but dangerous, destructive trash. They set forth an example of a "relationship" that NO ONE should ever seek out. Grey is Artemis on steroids.

that pretty much sums up what most are saying on tumblr lol

I looked up the rating, and the only thing I could find was from last November, when the director said he's going to TRY to get an R rating, but also do an NC-17 rated movie for select theaters. I believe that even if they aren't able to release the NC-17 to theaters, there will most definitely be one with that rating released on DVD or maybe even a completely unrated one for video release. The trailer did show her hands tied up to the bed in the playroom and also a couple whips I believe. Who knows how much action those things will get in an R rated movie, but as has been mentioned before, worse things have happened. In my opinion, if they can show a violent rape in an R rated movie, they should most definitely be able to show two consenting adults in a fully stocked playroom with whatever toys they choose to play with.
That being said, I've spoken to a few people that live the BDSM lifestyle and they have all said that this story seems like the author read a few stories with BDSM in it, but didn't research it fully nor has she ever lived it. But as that I only know what I've read in stories, it didn't seem too far off from what most mainstream people would expect BDSM to be. My problem is that he has an obsession with women that look like his mother, who did him wrong, and he's punishing these women for something that was done to him 20 years before. They were not involved in the abuse that happened to him and he shouldn't be punishing them for it. However, it is FICTION. So it's not like I can influence the man's decisions on what he should or shouldn't be doing. A few decades in therapy and he may be "normal" again, but that doesn't mean he won't still be into BDSM and all that goes with it.

There was discussion early on of my main man, and apparently Shari's too, being Christian. He even did an interview saying something about he's been training for the role for the past 6 years (this was before season 7 of TB started filming), and his current role even included his very own sex cave! I don't know how hard he pushed to try to get the role, but I'm actually kind of glad he didn't. I think he would quickly get typecast as a perv, even though I don't personally thing Eric or Christian are pervs, but that's not always how others look at things. I am super excited about his new role in Tarzan, I just read the description of the movie last night and it looks amazing.
As for my opinion of the actors, here we go, and feel free to yell at me as much as you want. I've read the books but not the original Masters of The Universe, though I do have it on my kindle or computer somewhere. (She sent out copies before she published I believe, and those copies have made their way around the interwebz like any other viral outbreak.) Christian is supposed to be intimidating and larger than life. I don't remember hair or eye color at this point, so I have no idea how well they did with that, but it's not always as important as the overall feel of the actor playing the character. To me, Jamie does not have the machismo, let's call it, to pull off the character the way it was originally written. But I say that as someone who has not seen his work. Also I'm going off the trailer, the little bit we see in that. He didn't seem as in-your-face as I'd think they would make him. And I do agree he would look more intimidating with some scruff. He also seems to innocent in those few moments of the trailer. He doesn't appear to be an alpha or a Dom in that time. Again, only my opinion, which is easily changed with evidence. I won't know for sure until I see more of the movie.
The actress, Dakota Johnson, has not been on my radar at all. I may have watched 5 minutes of Ben and Kate, which she's in, but it didn't hold my attention for even half that time. I don't know how good or bad of an actress she is, or Jamie either for that matter, but to me she seemed too YOUNG in the clips. When she's sitting in his office interviewing him at the very beginning, she looks about 12 to me. I tried to find a pic of it, but it didn't work out for me. There's only 8 pictures on IMDB, and only one of her face. She is inexperienced and naive, but she's still about 24 years old. Which IRL, Dakota is 25, it just seems they overdid the attempt at making her naive. But she may very well pull it all off and make me feel silly for thinking she was a bad choice. Same for Jamie. I'm feeling picky, and even though I have no plans to see this in the theater, I do get annoyed when the actor seems so far off from the written character. But as that they aren't well known or well established yet, maybe these roles will show the world how amazing they are!!

it depends on the book. usually i dont like the "major" spoilers but the minor ones arent so bad. just depends on if its one of the few series that i follow closely or not. since most of the time when i glance a book review its before reading the book.
