Bożena (bozi) | 570 comments hayy v day:) I've just finished doing up my room. I'm going to buy Styxx in March and one more book but I'm wavering between CoN or DH manga. What would you suggest?

message 2263: by Dhfan4life, Honey Bun (new)

Dhfan4life | 10411 comments Oh that is great Bo. What color did you choose? I haven't checked out any of the Manga before, but if they are like the graphic novels I've seen of another book series. I would say try that out. The art alone would no doubt be awesome. CON is good too just a bit confusing at first.

Dhfan4life | 10411 comments Hehe I like mine for a change LOL. I saw a similar one in the erotica group I'm in and it said I would get killed via a drunken stupor. I don't even drink. But have always thought it be more interesting to be the monster/bad guy. :P Just show up places, don't have to do all that running after people. Just slow walk em and let them wear themselves out.

Bożena (bozi) | 570 comments New Question: Do you believe in horoscopes? :)

message 2286: by Karey (new)

Karey Kot | 3 comments I'm a little skeptical. My birthday is in a cusp so my horoscope changes each day from cancer to leo. And neither of them are right..lol

message 2287: by Shari-amor, Doll Cake (new)

Shari-amor | 5275 comments No I don't believe in them. They can be a bit insightful but I don't follow them or anything.

message 2288: by Shari-amor, Doll Cake (new)

Shari-amor | 5275 comments Although it is fairly accurate in my personality being that I'm a Pisces.

message 2290: by Dhfan4life, Honey Bun (new)

Dhfan4life | 10411 comments I think horoscopes can be fun and I guess pending on the writer's mood insightful like Shari said. But I can't see living my life by them though. Most especially as I don't completely match up with all the Sagittarius traits. I have a few of them but not all to say that I could definitively follow the scope as seriously as some.

message 2291: by Nette (new)

Nette | 202 comments Marta wrote: "Nette wrote: "Defrosting...lol"

We were hit with more snow this morning! So no defrosting yet...lol

Nope. Don't put much belief in horoscopes. Though some describe some of my personality/traits, I believe they are more so entertainment than anything.

Liz Barrons-Kattalakis-Quiakides-Tehrror | 351 comments I definitely don't believe in horoscopes... My brother and I are both Picis and no only are nothing alike but have nothing in common.

Dhfan4life | 10411 comments New Question: Do you think men and women can be JUST friends?

message 2294: by Nette (last edited Feb 19, 2014 03:51AM) (new)

Nette | 202 comments Dhfan4life wrote: "New Question: Do you think men and women can be JUST friends?"

Yes, if there aren't already any feeling into play other than platonic. Now if you ask MEN this same question, I bet(more like know) the answer will NOT be the same. With men, they want to be your friend UNTIL they can hopefully change your mind...lol And I was told this by several of them. See, working with men has it's benefits...lol They tend to forget I'm around sometimes when they are talking freely. That's how I get to learn so much about how different their brains are from us woman folk...lol

I read a book written by a psychologist, Shaunti Feldhahn, called For Women Only. It's a really good book on showing the differences between women and men's minds. One of the questions asked in a survey done on both men and women asked "Would you rather be respected or Loved?" This was done with the women and men placed on opposite sides of the room. I was surprised by the answer men gave, but not by the women.

When asked, the women all raised their hands with LOVED being their asnwer.

The men raised their hands, with Respected as being their answer. Men equate RESPECT/LOVE as being the same.

Hmmm, who woulda thunk that...lol

Jessica (studioeastrat) | 571 comments Dhfan4life wrote: "New Question: Do you think men and women can be JUST friends?"

Sure. I had mostly male friends growing up and they were like my brothers. Now that we have all grown up we don't see each other very much due to living in different states but I know that they would still do anything for me and I for them.

message 2296: by Dhfan4life, Honey Bun (new)

Dhfan4life | 10411 comments I agree with you both Nette and Jessica. I do think that men and women can be friends as long as there is platonic feelings there. If there is something more romantic going on though on either end then definitely doubt it won't work out. Gets into that unrequited territory or someone will eventually get hurt if the other person isn't feeling the same.

New Question: How do you feel about public speaking?

Nette | 202 comments Dhfan4life wrote: "I agree with you both Nette and Jessica. I do think that men and women can be friends as long as there is platonic feelings there. If there is something more romantic going on though on either end ..

Ummm, love it! Remember/see all of the comments above...lol Hmmm, is this considered as public speaking?

message 2298: by Jessica (new)

Jessica (studioeastrat) | 571 comments I am not a fan of public speaking. Which is kind of funny because I was an actor for a long time. I suppose as long as I had a script and had multiple hours of practice with it. It wouldn't bother me but if you just through me up there and asked me to talk to a crowd I wouldn't feel very comfortable.

Jennifer | 1747 comments Dhfan4life wrote: "I agree with you both Nette and Jessica. I do think that men and women can be friends as long as there is platonic feelings there. If there is something more romantic going on though on either end ..."

depends on what it is. not really a fan of it but if i had to do it then id do it.

message 2300: by Bożena (new)

Bożena (bozi) | 570 comments I hate public speaking, especially in English (although I'm going to be an interpreter/translator...) I'm so stressed and I can't help it. Even if I have to say my name and say a few words to my lecturers about myself, my hands are sweating and heart pounding
