Dhfan4life | 10411 comments I would have to say my most memorable class for me was Home Ec. Pretty much because I totally sucked at sewing and some how or other wound up getting the teacher to do the majority of one of my sewing projects for me. As my stitches were all over the place. It was kind of hilarious actually, lol.

New Question- If you were to die tomorrow, what are 3 things you would want the world to know about you? Or have said about you?

Manuela (manu21) | 2559 comments to the ones that are "happy" that I am dead: "I'll be back!" (and if it is as a ghost to haunt them)

to the ones who are "sad" that I am dead: "I am glad I knew you!"

to the ones that never met me: "I regret that I've never met you!"

that means I am determined, loyal and I love to meet new people.

message 1653: by Dhfan4life, Honey Bun (new)

Dhfan4life | 10411 comments Haha, very eloquently put Manuela. :)

message 1654: by Manuela (new)

Manuela (manu21) | 2559 comments thanks, Cherale ;)

Shari-amor | 5275 comments To be honest, I have not a clue. If by some miraculous event, my momma is still alive, I'd want her to speak for me. Despite our differences and no matter if I don't share anything with her (She still KNOWS), my momma knows me best. I'd be fine with anything she said because I know it would be honest and beautiful.

message 1656: by Shari-amor, Doll Cake (new)

Shari-amor | 5275 comments New Question: What ability or skill do you wish you had?

message 1657: by Dhfan4life, Honey Bun (new)

Dhfan4life | 10411 comments That is really great of you to say about your mom Shari. I know mine would speak for me rather I'd want her to or not. In regards to the last question.

As for new question, I would have to say that I would love the ability to be able to craft/build stuff. That way with that skill I would probably do my damndest to sell all my wares and make crazy money to pay off my debts.

message 1658: by Carlena, Pumpkin Pie/Care Bear (new)

Carlena | 1753 comments Shari-amor wrote: " New Question: What ability or skill do you wish you had? "

Ability to read minds, teleport, and magically make money whenever I want. lol

message 1659: by Ally (new)

Ally | 325 comments Mine would be to be more of a people person, I think that's a skill. I like people and try but I'm just not a popular person, never have been. In some ways I like it in others I hate it!

message 1660: by angieclique (new)

angieclique | 558 comments I wish I could teleport just like Ash, Vane and all those ppl who can. Just think about it you could go up later and when you're finished you can just flash yourself to class or something without being stressed!!

First thing that came to my mind was money. I am totally with you there Carlena. LOL

But I still think that if I had wings I could fly everywhere. I'd really love to have feathered wings (do NOT necessarily want to be an angel though). Maybe some that change colour like mood rings or similar, because I cannot put a definite colour to my wings.

message 1662: by Shari-amor, Doll Cake (new)

Shari-amor | 5275 comments I wish I was more ambitious. I think if I wanted more out of life, I'd have more. I tend to go with the flow and have very simple needs but some days simple is a bit confining.

New Question: Last year Goodreads launched the Choice awards of 2012. The Wind Through the Keyhole by Stephen King was the Fantasy genre winner. Click HERE for the other nominees. Shadow of Night by Deborah Harkness was the Paranormal genre winner. Click HERE for the other nominees. So for 2013, what books would you nominate for these genres?

message 1663: by Dhfan4life, Honey Bun (new)

Dhfan4life | 10411 comments I second that Shari. I am rather ambitious at times when I want to be. But I don't think I often challenge myself enough and let so much slide and go with the flow to keep my needs simple as I can. But it is rather annoying as hell though too.

As for the new question, I would nominate Seduction by M.J. Rose was a rather enjoyable one since the beginning of the series. And if I ever get some of the other current releases I requested from the library. I might nominate them too.

So many good paranormal books this year:
Born of Silence (The League, #5) by Sherrilyn Kenyon
Styxx (Dark-Hunter, #23) by Sherrilyn Kenyon
Lover At Last (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #11) by J.R. Ward I know, I know, but I loved it! ;-)
Heart of Obsidian (Psy-Changeling, #12) by Nalini Singh

message 1665: by Valerie (new)

Valerie (rie10) | 166 comments I guess that would mean i have to have read books that came out this year, eh? Besides Kenyon, only paranormal i have read that came out this year was the EIT series (karina halle). I don't remember but i think there were two that came out...Come Alive just came out and it was really good. Thought there was one earlier this year too. Been using the library more and trying to get teh new books, well...that is just a fun wait.

Dhfan4life | 10411 comments New Question: Since First Wives Club is one of my favorite movie of all time. With some of my most favorite leading ladies. Which I've seen like more than enough times to be able to quote it verbatim. I was wondering what was YOUR all time favorite all female leading cast movie?

message 1667: by Manuela (new)

Manuela (manu21) | 2559 comments I like Steel Magnolias but it is not my all time fav movie. Sorry.

message 1668: by Dhfan4life, Honey Bun (new)

Dhfan4life | 10411 comments Oh yes, I love that one too Manuela!! The original. I saw another version with the all black cast. And although they had some heavy hitters in that one too. It just didn't have the same impact as the original.

message 1669: by Shari-amor, Doll Cake (new)

Shari-amor | 5275 comments The First Wives club is my second favorite. It was first.... until I seen Thelma and Louise

message 1670: by Shari-amor, Doll Cake (new)

Shari-amor | 5275 comments Now & then and Waiting to Exhale are some others

message 1671: by Dhfan4life, Honey Bun (new)

Dhfan4life | 10411 comments Great choices Shari. Loved Waiting to Exhale as well. Never really saw Thelma and Louise or Now and Then.

message 1672: by Shari-amor, Doll Cake (new)

Shari-amor | 5275 comments Oh snap and A League of their Own too. lol Got a lot of favorites

message 1673: by Shari-amor, Doll Cake (new)

Shari-amor | 5275 comments Thelma and Louise was amazing. Two of my favorite actresses especially Gena Davis

message 1674: by [deleted user] (new)

Omg, I had been trying to think of of a fave female lead movie and yes, A League of Their Own was great. Even though it was a female cast, I absolutely loved Tom Hanks in that one. If anything, it was a great history lesson in learning about the women's pro baseball league.

message 1675: by Shari-amor, Doll Cake (new)

Shari-amor | 5275 comments "Theres no crying in baseball" Loved Tom Hanks in that lol

message 1676: by Dhfan4life, Honey Bun (new)

Dhfan4life | 10411 comments Yes, loved in a League of their own. Also Set it Off. Really liked that one too.

message 1678: by Dhfan4life, Honey Bun (new)

Dhfan4life | 10411 comments Hey there Manuela. Yep, just shutting out my game and cooking up a new question since I've been slacking this weekend. How you been today?

message 1679: by Manuela (new)

Manuela (manu21) | 2559 comments Well, saturday was kinda cool as my car broke down wednesday and hubby tried to fix it but couldn't we went (first to the election) and got me a new car. I will have it monday night at my door. It is a used car but for me it is new. Yay. Hyundai Getz

message 1680: by Dhfan4life, Honey Bun (new)

Dhfan4life | 10411 comments Sucks on the old one breaking down. But hurrah on getting a new one. And did you mean an election to vote someone in? Or election, like auction to get the car?

New Question: What celebrity would play you in a movie version of your life?

message 1681: by Manuela (new)

The Australians voted in a new Prime Minister (head of the country). I am not citizen, I can't vote but I go with hubby to read all the fun parties. We have a sex party here. Should I become active member? LOL
Don't like auctions as I am afraid I would go mental (and spend too much money) once I have smelled blood.

I love Michelle Pfeiffer but she may not be able now to play me when I was younger. And it would mean I am taller in my movie than I am. ~grin~
Are there some short actresses out there?

message 1682: by Dhfan4life, Honey Bun (new)

Dhfan4life | 10411 comments Oh ok, I gotcha now. LOL a sex party? Now that has totally turned my thoughts in all kinds of directions now for sure. I dare ya to join and take pics. :P

I only like the Ebay auctions. The ones that aren't super crazy. More like a few bucks on some video games here and there. But nothing out of the way.

Oh nice. I like Michelle, she is really awesome. As is Diane Lane and Diane Keaton. As for shorter actresses, I know Shannon Dorthey is rather short. Actually the original Charmed cast.

Yeah I loved her in Charmed (used to watch it when I was still in Germany). She would be bitchy enough to play me. :P

now and then is an awesome movie O_O

message 1686: by Shari-amor, Doll Cake (new)

Shari-amor | 5275 comments Yes it is. I loved that movie growing up. And I was a huge Christina Ricci fan.

Zoe Saldana or Tessa Thompson (younger sister in For Colored Girls)

message 1687: by Dhfan4life, Honey Bun (new)

Dhfan4life | 10411 comments I know for sure I don't look like any celebs. BUT if I were white I would want Emma Stone to play me, lol. She is beyond awesome. Maybe Kerry Washington would work as well. Took a while for her to grow on me. But I've really started to like her more.

message 1688: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer | 1747 comments emma stone is really pretty too. LMAO u can have some of my beyond pale skin cherale!

Oh and left ya a message on yahoo about the Fall Secret Santa if you are still interested. But if so can just go over and put in your selections.

message 1691: by Jennifer (new)

Dhfan4life | 10411 comments New Question (then Shari or Carlena you guys can take over for the rest of the week):

If your life could have a theme song what would it be and why?

message 1694: by Valerie (new)

Valerie (rie10) | 166 comments Well, this one would depend on the day, time, etc. For me it would change often. Currently i would proably say 'I'm Not Alright' by Shinedown. Still in the ups & downs that go with losing someone, even if it was a few months over a year ago. I definatly talk to myself at home more than i should, and the swings from mild depression, to feeling like my old self are just nuts some days/weeks. Several other songs come to mind for various times in my life too but i will leave at that fun one for now. And yes, I really like that song too.

Flavs is Mrs David Gandy♥~♥’ (fldavids) | 2 comments my song at the moment is the song in Acheron Savin Me by Nickelback!

message 1696: by Manuela (new)

Manuela (manu21) | 2559 comments If today was your last day... Nickelback
Beneath you're beautiful... Labrinth
Impossible... James Arthur

I could go on but I don't because just because you can doesn't mean you should...

message 1697: by Shari-amor, Doll Cake (last edited Sep 09, 2013 05:47PM) (new)

Shari-amor | 5275 comments Um yeah I have a few songs.

Recurring Dream by Idiot Pilot
http://youtu.be/XYvCcoaEWQA

Strange by Tokio Hotel and Kerli
http://youtu.be/TeMpwFp_kbs

Imaginary by Evanescence
http://youtu.be/odatDWByonw

Prison of Society by The Living End (Song is about government but it pretty much is my attitude about life)
http://youtu.be/sxhdFXc7KMw

Why these songs!? Because I'm one pissed off, badass, depressed, strange, moody, antisocial, liberal woman. I will not change for anyone because it makes them uncomfortable. I do things in my own time and my own way. I need my space 95% of the time and my head is always in the clouds. I love my flaws that make me uniquely me. Perfect!? I hate that word. As Miss Marilyn Monroe says best "If you cant handle me at my worst, you don't deserve me at my best."

*HUGS*

message 1699: by Dhfan4life, Honey Bun (new)

Dhfan4life | 10411 comments My theme song would have to be I don't wanna be anything by Gavin Degraw. Love that song. Very fitting I think. As sometimes all you have is the present and who you are in that moment. Fingers crossed if it is something good in the moment too.
