Still watch wrestling but WWE has gotten kinda boring. I watch more TNA now. Loved DX back in the day. And even farther, the good vs bad of Hogan vs. Piper. Ahh...those were the days. the BEST was ECW! That was way better than what is on now.

Well, i guess the above comment says one thing (besides showing my age). I could probably say lots. Hmm.... I LOVE watching cartoons. Old, some new, any anime. Also, i tend to be one of those that remember someting from like 10-20 years ago and wish i had done xxx or said xxx instead.

I knew you were awesome. But proposed two twice and yet haven't found the keeper for YOU yet, huh?

That is interesting on the two feet driving thing. When I was first learning how to drive I tried that as well. But that just freaks me out more. And needing a pillow to raise my butt up in the seat just made me feel totally out of control even more.

I did get chicken pox when I returned from the states from my exchange student program, was just home for a fortnight when it broke out.

Valerie (rie10) | 166 comments Angelica wrote: "I don't get it.. Why don't you drive with a stick in the US?"

It is actually quite hard to find a stick here in the US. the only reason i switched to automatic is becuase I work in a downtown area. The traffic is murder on the cluch foot. Plus the parking structure can be even worse, especially with the incline on the ramp up. I really miss my stick...(yes that can be taken multiple ways). If i can ever afford a 2nd car, i am getting a jeep wrangler in a stick so i can enjoy no doors, no roof and a nice cruise.

Actually playing or flicking the other team off? :P Kidding lol, although I'd likely break mine doing that if I had any coordination to even be ON a basketball court in the first place.

I use that nowadays when I show the finger "I just wanted to show the one I broke once playing basketball". LOL
I loved playing basketball in the US (In America I had no chance to do so for long as I broke my glasses while playing. I then had to switch to tennis :( .) and at home, I was pretty good apart from being only 160cm or 5'3" (at least I think that's how short I am). I had the technique but I can't jump. I was good with the 3points baskets but in that particular case I was standing underneath the basket and the ball fell straight on to the tip of my middle finger when I tried to catch the ball. Stupid, I know, but stranger things have happened.

Sounds like my mom when she had a splint on her middle finger once. But injuries and broken glasses aside it does sound like you enjoyed being so active. I give you mad props for that. The most activity I had was during summer gym when we had to do all that stuff. Then it was the school band stuff for a while too.

Ahhh. My dad was a military guy too. But my mom managed to hook him when he was a security guard in a store. Friends first then me then marriage. So yea love finds ya in all it's forms. :) And you are definitely no one's door mat!

Manuela? Ever try speed walking around the house? I kind of consider that my form of exercise most days. That and the stairs. Not sure how much I'm losing. But it's definitely enough to see me to the other side of the ice cream carton. :D

Manuela (manu21) | 2559 comments I heard about an obese woman who walked around her clothesline in the backyard because she was so embarrassed about her weight. She lost tonnes. I have been thinking of going into the city and use one of the skyscrapers (small ones only) to go up the stairs there.

message 1531: by Dhfan4life, Honey Bun (new)

Dhfan4life | 10411 comments That's sounds like a plan. We have bike paths and trails here too that some people walk on. That might work as well. Take in some scenery while your out too.

Dhfan4life | 10411 comments New Question: What is the longest you have ever waited to purchase a new release of a book, game, DVD, or even music CD?

message 1541: by Shari-amor, Doll Cake (new)

Shari-amor | 5275 comments A year and a half. Its normally for a book cause it takes about that long for books to hit shelves after a writer finishes it. I'm actually waiting on the next book in the fever world series by Karen Moning. It was suppose to be released this year but has been pushed back until next April. I've been waiting since last October

message 1542: by Manuela (new)

Manuela (manu21) | 2559 comments I don't really acknowledge the waiting time. It would just drive me crazy. I waited five months till I had "Lover at Last" to read and I did get it finally from the library after a seven month waiting list. By then I had already read it and just had it sit on my shelf for 28 days till I returned it.

message 1543: by Valerie (new)

Valerie (rie10) | 166 comments Do you mean waiting to get one that is already released or waiting for something to be published? I still have not got a few books/music(cd or digital) that have been out for years.

If it is the waiting for something to be published/released...when was the last LOA book released? Been waiting for the next one. Supposed to be out beginning of this year, but now it is another year out. So far, at leaset 2-3 years if not longer.

And totally off topic, i am so glad the people in the group are nice, frendly and accepting of others opinions and do not mock any question. Course, most Kenyon fans are like that and i exptected nothing less. Just read a story in one of my FB book groups that a new indi-author is no longer publishing her debut novel becuase of the shit that people did to her in goodreads. It was straight up bullying & threats to the 'nth' degree. Goodreads only response is that they will do nothing about it as it is in thier terms that ANYTHING can be posted & done on thier site, etc. It was really crude and cruel shit that they were doing. Very disappointed and thoroughly disgusted in Goodreads for how they handled it.

I had another friend message me about that Valerie. And I agree with you wholeheartedly about what those people have done to that poor author. And to read that GR is being so hands off really turns my stomach. This is a great site for many readers and authors and the like. They should want to maintain a good atmosphere around here. But I'm not really surprised I've had another friend had racial slurs thrown at them in another group before. And even another friend that was totally sent hateful messages that were insulting her intelligence for liking a particular series. GR really needs to man up about stuff like this. There are plenty of other places to be abused on the web. But not here where people should be able to enjoy books, new and great friends, and just be able to relax.

And to get back on topic. I have to agree with ya again Valerie. I've been wondering about the third and final book of the All Souls Trilogy. I thought it was supposed to have been released this year. But I think I've jumped around a bit on the site and found it's a next year release. And that totally bums me out. As I hate when they put such a large gap between a 3 book series.

message 1546: by Donna (BLHmistress) (new)

Donna (BLHmistress) (BLHmistress) | 68 comments I love this group and only reason I am staying for the moment because what they did to that author is disgusting. GR needs to do something about it, I mean there is a difference between freedom of speech and being a bully.

As for the question, A year is the longest I have waited. And usually it's for all my favorite authors.

message 1547: by Shari-amor, Doll Cake (new)

Shari-amor | 5275 comments I just read something on tumblr about the author. That makes me really sad and pisses me off. I'm all up for freedom of speech and you should never bite your tongue for anyone but if what you say hurts, belittles, comes off hateful, orthreatens a person well being than thats an issue. And there should be some sort of consequence with hateful remarks. No one should get away with that.

message 1548: by Dhfan4life, Honey Bun (new)

Dhfan4life | 10411 comments Absolutely Shari. I'm highly disappointed in GR for doing nothing at all. I mean how do they expect to get other authors here if they don't show they value them by not handling this situation.
