My influences are Disney, Joss Whedon and Guillermo Del Toro and my own twisted imagination :) I love that I am able to self publish my novels and create my own cover art but I'm still working toward traditional publishing to further my reach.

My name is Angela Roquet, and I write an Urban Fantasy series called "Lana Harvey, Reapers Inc." My series is set in a modern and eclectic afterlife, and my main character, Lana, is a reaper who works for Grim at Reapers Inc. I am currently working on the 3rd novel in my series. I have been trying to be more active online lately, in order to meet new authors and cross promote. I am also blogging more, and I'm currently featuring a series of interviews for several indie authors who are participating in a great big giveaway with me. Please check out my blog for more details. http://angelaroquet.blogspot.com/ ! Also, if you would like to swap interviews, guest blogs, or book reviews, let me know! I love meeting and helping out new authors, and I appreciate it when the favor is returned too. :)
Welcome Angela! I've also written a reaper novel so I'll definitely check yours out and I love that you're interviewing indie authors. I'll follow your blog! I hope you like the group :)

Hi Jessica!
I always find it exciting when I meet another author who writes about reapers! :D I've added your books to my reading list, and I can't wait to check them out! I've got a lot lined up for the next couple months, but if you're available later this spring, I'd love to do an interview with you on my blog some time! I think I'm going to have a lot of fun in this group! :)

I'd love to do an interview anytime! And please post the link to your blog in the "what's new" topic in the general folder when you've got a blog you want to share. I'm going to start messaging everyone when there's something posted there. & that goes for everyone :)

Welcome! & Forgive me, Darrell, but what's an alc?
I feee like I missed something somewhere... Or i'm getting old & don't know slang lol!
LOL! Ok cool... Help us out, Darrell!
aaaaah! ok I gotcha :) I think Ross was saying that earlier too. It is like an AA meeting in these forums lol!

I'd love to learn more about your swag slang...what do subject do you teach?

I keep a mental log of slang words teens use - but I should write them down. Writing dialogue to match how real teens talk is an area I'm working to improve upon.
