Welcome, Kayla!
Welcome, Kayla!

My name is Janel Gradowski. I write both literary and women's fiction ranging in sizes from flash to novella length. The tagline on my blog describes my philosophy as an indie writer: Creating tasty stories to satisfy every size of reading appetite.
I have three ebooks out with another one coming soon.

Welcome Kayla, James & Janel! I love the variety of novels our group writes! I hope I can get to all of them one day... & Kayla, owls are one of my faves too!

I'm Andy and recently published my debut novel, The Remarkables. It's an action adventure with sprinklings of urban fantasy and sci-fi, and is in the young adult realm, but has been enjoyed by all ages so far. It follows the story of a teenager called Owen who discovers that he has superpowers.
The idea behind it had been growing for years, and I had intended the book to be a one off, but I loved the characters and the world they inhabit so much that I'm currently writing a sequel.

Hi Andy, sounds like a cool series =) I know how that is, I've had several books where I planned to write just one, and then the characters just wouldn't let me go.

That's exactly how it is. My latest puzzler involved how my leads would react if I plonked them in the rain forest. So I did.

I enjoy writing romance (PNR/UF) and I read any type of romance, PNR, and all genres of fantasy. Some of my favorite Indie authors are Olivia Hardin, Liz Schulte, and Tawdra Kandle.

Welcome Andy! As a writer of teens with super powers as well, I'm excited to check out the Remarkables!
Hi Rae, welcome to the group :) I'm glad you started writing. I know the feeling of stock piling ideas. It takes a lot of work getting them all written into cohesive stories but I also think that's the funnest part! Share your work with us and if you ever need any input this group has a lot of helpful writers in the same boat!

I'm Daniel S. Rodriguez.
Although I've not been published yet. I'm currently writing a few novels, "Red Wine" "Love At Dusk" are both romances, also I have a couple of psychological thriller novels in-progress.
I'm looking forward to meeting new friends with awesome ideas and enthusiasm and passion. Friends who appreciates dedication and respect different perspectives.
My native language is Spanish, but I prefer the challenge to write in English.
My background is in Quality Engineering for a distribution and service industry, but my passion has secretly been writing. I first wrote a short play in middle school for an audience about a Mexican family mirroring mines - and their experience crossing the US- Mexico border illegally in the '90s.
I've written a few short stories and submitted "Purgatory, The Third Realm" to a fiction contest, but was rejected. It was awfully written so I don't blame the editor. :)
"Beautiful Feather" has not seen editor eyes, it's a story about a transgender male who sees himself already a real woman despite still having male organs. Feather falls in love with a man and he too blindly falls for her. He later discovers Feather's secret and when he finds out he wants to become a woman he doesn't approve. Feather struggles to be what he feels is to be and live as a woman or remain a man in woman's clothes to keep the love of her life who doesn't accept her purpose.
Thank you for reading my intro and look forward to connecting with many of you
Peace to everyone and keep reading and writing- after all that is our purpose in this group.
Thanks for joining, Daniel! Be sure to let me know when you publish those romances! The titles are already enticing ;)
Awesome description Daniel when you're finished with it I'd love to read and review it XD I like all types of books but I'm especially drawn to ones that feature diversity and I'm looking into more books that feature transgendered protagonists as well as gay , lesbian etc....

My (pen)name is Kim and I am 20 years old :) I ive in a small village in Germany and I am an avid reader. I have to admitt that I do not read a lot of Indie authors. One of the reasons for that is that I still am not really into reading books on my ereader, another reason would be that Indie authors are not really "existing" here in Germany. I do not think I have ever heard of a German Indie author.
Anyway I would love to promote more Indie authors on my little blog which you can find here: kimberleyjones17.blogspot.de
I always dreamed about being a published author so maybe someday I can join your ranks :)
I am looking forward to getting to know you all and find more amazing books to read :)
Greetings!

My name's Kimberly (K. S. Daniels) and I write classic/golden age style Science Fiction (think Asimov and early Heinlein). My first book came out in January (The Valkyrie Profiles) and the prequel short story to the series (Children of Ymir) can out last weekend. I have also been an English Instructor at the University of South Alabama for the past 3 years, but since I'm moving to New Orleans this summer I'm currently just writing till my fingers go numb. Please hit me up if you guys want to chat about writing or anything else that falls under the category of awesome. I'm also actively seeking readers to review my books, so if you're into SF message me and I'll send you a free review copy! =D

Hey Kim! Glad you joined the group =) Most of our books here should be international (I'm pretty sure mine are too, even in paperback) I'm totally with you, I don't own an e-reader.

Lisa that's quite a genre ;) I'm intrigued! Welcome to the group!
Hi Lisa! haha, I'll admit that first I thought you wrote "contemporary medieval romance" and I was like, how does that work? but then I saw it was "medical" I've been on the computer too long ;)

I do that sometimes...lol...then I have to do a double take!
That's what always happens to me when I read too much and my eyes get tired. It can be very entertaining sometimes, the mistakes I read ;P

I love the whole indie community. I've recently published my first novel. I've spoken with a few other indie authors and everyone I've talked to has been really supportive.
Mostly I write horror/supernatural stuff, and I have a blog dedicated to my writing and reviews of (mostly) indie books. I read more indie stuff now than traditional published authors because the books just seem so much more personal. I still love the classics though! I just wish I had more time to read.
If anyone is interested, hop over and have a looksie. Hope it's okay if I leave a link here. Looking forward to getting to know everyone!

Welcome to the group! I wish I had more time to read too. I've discovered a lot of wonderful indie authors here but there just aren't wnough hours in the day... Check out the rest of the topics and post your blog and your book in the "what's new" topic and ill be sure everyone sees that it's available :)

I'm Guy and am currently 40,000 words into my first book and about 10,000 into my second. I've a lot of friends who are quite successful published writers and have always been a voracious reader, so I thought it might be time to give it a go myself.
So far so good and most importantly, I'm really enjoying writing. It's something I do for myself with no real end goal, but if the finished product is something I'm at least partly happy with, then I might pop it into the public domain.
I'm quite new to the whole indie author movement as I've got a hideously large to read list already, but am interested in finding some indie greats to give me an idea of what other people are doing.
Cheers!
Thanks for joining the group, Guy! If you need any help or input just give us a shout :)
