Spring Challenge 2013: Completed Tasks with ?s/problems

Is this meant to be a completed task post? If so, more info is needed!"
sorry this was an oops, I replaced comment with one saying "oops"

Option 5 of task 25.1, requires that the author's initials be found within one of the abbreviations, not that the letters be found within the author's name. So, Jessica Sorensen won't work for NCIS - fortunately, however, "JS" is found in "JCCS-1," so you are okay - no need to repost.

I assume you were listing Shadow Rising for option 1, since you specified page numbers. The edition you linked to had 292 pages, so would not work for option 1. However, it is listed with a genre of romance, so will work for option 3. No need to repost.

The edition of Brideshead Abbreviated: The Digested Read of the Twentieth Century that you linked to shows as having 356 pages, not 355. Fortunately, "6" is also in the listed numbers, so the book still works. No need to repost.

The edition of Beautiful Redemption you've linked to has 451 pages and, therefore, is not eligible for a big book ticket. If you read an edition of the book that was 500+ pages, please repost this task with the appropriate link, making it clear that the only reason you are reposting is to claim a BB ticket.

As stated in the Clarification of Goodread Author and Big Book Rules: ** The author of the book must be listed as a Goodreads Author. Therefore, pseudonyms not listed as Goodreads Authors will not receive a ticket. Jenny Carroll is not a Goodreads author. Please adjust your totals.

Please repost with a readerboard name.
Task 10.7 requires that you identify the category in which your book was nominated.

In the future, please link to the actual book you read. The link you provided for Mediator #1: Shadowland did not provide any information about page length, nor did it indicate that there even was a paper edition. There is a paper book, Shadowland (although it shows as Meg Cabot, rather than Jenny Carroll), and in future situations, please link to that instead or in addition, and explain the pseudonym situation.
No need to repost - I've found the necessary information now.

Sorry I thought I had the paper edition when I posted. I later realized I didn't. Thanks for finding the information.

Task 20.8, option 4, is a cover task and it is required that you include the cover in your post."
I have corrected my post and included the cover. The corrected post is # 1116. Sorry!!!

You already posted task 20.10, on March 27. Please adjust your point total for your records - no need to repost.

Task 10.4 is a "cover" task and requires you to include the cover of the book in your post, and, if necessary, to point out the purple "something.""
Sandy, I edited my post in the "Completed Tasks" for 10.4
But here it is again for 10.4 Purple for Peace

Thanks!

Please repost this task in the completed task thread. We don't go back to find edited prior posts, or pick up missing information from this thread.

Books with the genre "childrens" on the main page that have fewer than 300 pages cannot be used for tasks greater than 15 points unless explicitly allowed in the task description, so this book will not work for 20.2.

I would like post new finished books today and I think the best if I post both tasks together but I will wait for your answer.

Cross My Heart shows a publication date of 2006, so it won't work for 5.9."
The edition I read said September 1, 2008 (and didn't reference the original publication date), so I didn't check the other versions of the book.

How does that work? Doesn't it go by the edition you read, or not?

Original publication date. The task specifically says "a book originally published in that year." The edition you linked to in your post showed the 2006 publication date.

OK, got it. Will reshuffle on my next posting.
I'm finally learning that the function that inserts the book links doesn't insert the link that you've selected in your Goodreads read list....have now screwed that up twice.
Jenna post 1151 - unfortunately, Manhattan is not a separate city - it's a borough of New York City.

I assume that your task between 5.7 and 20.9 is for task 10.10, since you provided info on the book's rating and your average rating. No need to repost unless I'm off base here.

Please post your multiple tasks in numerical order, lowest to highest. This makes dealing with the spreadsheet easier.
Also, your total is off - you had 325 points as of your previous post, and another 35 gives you a total of 360.

Sorry, but Beautiful Redemption does not qualify for a BB ticket. The rules state: 8. When determining page count, you should go by the copy you read- EXCEPT as noted below for ebooks, audiobooks, and large print books.
If you read an ebook, or audiobook use the page count for the mass market paperback if one exists. If there is no mass market paperback edition, use the paperback edition and if no paperback is available use the hardcover edition.
None of the editions of the print editions of Beautiful Redemption are 500+ pages.

The edition of This Charming Man you've linked to has 704 pages and is eligible for 1 BB (500+ page) ticket. If you actually read an edition with 750+ pages, please repost this task with the appropriate link.

The total in your latest post is off, Aleksandra. I fixed your previous total - 275 - but your new total, with 55 points added should be 330, rather than 340. No need to repost - just for your own record keeping.

yep, I already found that one - there's a group that wre together that got passed over. Who knows what was going on that morning!

Sorry about the incorrect order of the multiple posts. I will check more carefully in the future. Seems like math is still giving me a problem, I apologize for the error. Do I need to repost for #1165 or just correct total in next post?

From reading the GR description and some of the reviews, it sounds as if The Book Stops Here is set in London, rather than Ireland. If the book is actually more than 50% set in Ireland, please indicate that.

For your second book for 25.8, I assume that you meant option 4, since you linked to an audiobook and to paperback edition for length purposes, and did not provide the info required for option 5. No need to repost.

I will certainly take your word on that, Jessica - since you've read it, and at least half the book takes place in Ireland, it's fine. No need to repost.

Task 5.9 requires the year that the book was originally published, not the year in which the Dutch translation was published. This book was originally published in 2009, so will not work for a die roll requiring a book published in 2011.
