This is a superb piece of writing with a somewhat controversial subject matter - teacher/student. Don't let that put you off. I have a short review and a scarily long review of this book. I was fortunate to have received this as an ARC and it is already on my list of favourites for 2013.

A slow-paced yet sensitively written book about a young man coming to terms with his family, his little sister's Autism, and a relationship with a young man who has his own set of problems. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and for personal and professional reasons will say that the little sister's Austism is done right.

this is an exellent short YA and adult book alike about the effects of bullying on a fourteen year old gay male. No sex, no violence, but the topic is about bullying. Very ..."
Two excellent reviews Kazza. I read and loved 'One Boy's Shadow' and agree with everything you say about it. 'See'I haven't read yet, but I can see that I must remedy that.

Hello, Great group, I am Jane Brooke, a 22 year old lesbian British savage writer of LGBT/LESBIAN/HETERO all genders erotica and I have this year 8 new books from Amazon and of course with my PIC on my page. My work described to me by my readers is savage, URBAN, RAW, Ultra sexual, profane, beautiful and finally bullet in the head MY GENERATION-REAL. I do a yearly jaunt through the underground sex, scene and fetish clubs of Europe, and infuse my work with what I see, as a voyeur in these freedom loving people’s private lives. My work is not for the weak-of-heart, so SEAT BELT REQUIRED, and since I am done whoring myself, a girl uses what she has, BIG SMILE, WTF just dropped an ash from my cigarette into my tequila shot, smoke in my eyes, collateral damage of being a writer, Cheers Jane from London

Hello, Jane. thanks for posting.
Hello, Jane. thanks for posting.

I have a new release out: Silent

And here's the blurb:
Alex’s life as a teenager in South Central LA is far from perfect, but it’s his life, and he knows how to live it. He knows what role to play and what things to keep to himself. He’s got it all under control, until one lousy pair of shoes kicks him out of his world and lands him in a foster care group home.
Surrounded by strangers and trapped in a life where he could never belong, Alex turns to the only person lower on the social ladder than he is: a “special” mute boy. In Sebastian, Alex finds a safe place to store his secrets—those that sent him to foster care, and the deeper one that sets him apart from the other teenagers he knows. But Sebastian has secrets of his own, and when tragedy rips the two boys apart, Alex will stop at nothing to find the answers—even if it means dragging them both through a past full of wounds best left buried.
It might just be worth it, for the slim chance at love.
