This is a superb piece of writing with a somewhat controversial subject matter - teacher/student. Don't let that put you off. I have a short review and a scarily long review of this book. I was fortunate to have received this as an ARC and it is already on my list of favourites for 2013.

A slow-paced yet sensitively written book about a young man coming to terms with his family, his little sister's Autism, and a relationship with a young man who has his own set of problems. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and for personal and professional reasons will say that the little sister's Austism is done right.

this is an exellent short YA and adult book alike about the effects of bullying on a fourteen year old gay male. No sex, no violence, but the topic is about bullying. Very sensitively written. Probably slightly spoilerish review (depending on your definition) -

Two excellent reviews Kazza. I read and loved 'One Boy's Shadow' and agree with everything you say about it. 'See'I haven't read yet, but I can see that I must remedy that.

I have just read . An LGBT YA which is also paranormal and historical. It is from a young 13-14 year old girl's perspective who identifies as same-sex attracted. No sex, no swearing.
