I don't have much to go on, but I'm looking for a book or a series of books that my Dad read and loved as a child. All he can remember is a character is called Olly/Ollie took.

My dad is 53 and he read them when he was around the age of 5 to 8, but he can't remember if they were just published or older when he read them.

He also remembers that the character had something to do with trains. Either the engineer, or the driver, or the man who kept the fire going.

And that's all I have, I'm afraid, because that's all he remembers. Any and all help would be appreciated!
