Ije the Devourer of Books | 14524 comments Alas Roger die hard Spartacus fans are complaining that the current box set does not contain the special features from the last series (shock horror) but a new box set might be released in September. So I have decided to wait and read the two books based on the series and treat myself to the new box set when/if it is released in September. In the mean time some clever chap has compiled the clips from the two main gay characters

message 3052: by Danni (new)

Danni | 248 comments I wish to complain that while Spartacus should absolutely, totally do it for me, it just doesn't. When my flabbergasted friend (who knows that anything that involves barely clothed Roman men wrestling and taking part in all sorts of sweaty activities should have me glued to the screen) asked me why I didn't like it, the only thing I could come up with was that it feels a bit like porn without the money shot.

Spartacus season 3 I want that serie, when do they published that dvd?!? Agron and Nasir, so beautiful and sexy the guys :-)

Ije the Devourer of Books | 14524 comments yes each series is on DVD in the uk. You can get all four seasons in one set or separately. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Spartacus-The...

I am waiting to see if they will produce an updated version of the box set. I do wish I had seen it when it was on tv although it will be great to have the four seasons all together

My complain today I hurt still on my feet and legs, neck hurts again, hip, spine and lower back hurts as usual. but lucky my fever is gone. Later I want to take a long nap and then see Eurovision semi-final in tv, have some snack and enjoy to see tv.

The weather change all the time and this is not good for my illness, Sun and warm is what I need.

The visitation was going well and I get my stand support chair and ergonomic crutch, I lie on the border with the electric scooter can be my legs, so there are other sections in use. She need to talk with my doctor about the future ability to walk or if it will change or stay the same. The scanning also has an impact on things.

So most of the things seem to go the right way, I hope as well with the new doctor and electric scooter *fingers crossed*

I can first buy more books next month and know what I want to buy, just need it to be june.

message 3057: by Roger (new)

Roger Kean | 17278 comments I wan to to hurl thunderbolts at the sky on Helle's behalf that the European-wide weather stinks. SNOW on the hills in the Midlands today! It's the middle of May and soon June is supposed to be "bustin' out all over"!

On the other hand I have to complain on behalf of my Oliver, who has enjoyed a week of blissful silence and relief from my constant burbling. A month ago I had to have a molar extracted, a painful and messy business, since it went sceptic after and I needed a course of antibiotics to heal it. All well and good until 12 days ago when what felt like a new tooth was growing through the healed gum. The gum had in fact shrunk back around a spike of jaw bone, which began to serrate the underside of my tongue until I couldn't speak properly and eating became an ordeal.

The dentist said it might need "bone removal" but thought it would "mould itself in a few days". This morning, tongue almost cut in half, I returned and he took out a "bone burr" and filed it all down. Funnily, it didn't hurt in the least until he reached the gum level. But that's done the rick. i can eat again… and talk! Yippee! (Poor Oli).

Still, today he has perfected the hand-written style for GREGORY'S STORY, so that's something.

Danni wrote… "When my flabbergasted friend asked me why I didn't like it, the only thing I could come up with was that it feels a bit like porn without the money shot.

But Danni, that's what all the blood is for!

Roger Kean | 17278 comments I'm whiplashed with remorse that I went and posted this in the wrong thread (What I hate in M/M Romance), so here it is again… :((

I'm totally fed up to the back teeth (the one I haven't got any more), that this coming weekend of the 18th and 19th, Oliver and I will have to spend at Wolverhampton Race Course at the "Retro Revival", as advertised here: http://www.revivalretroevents.com

where a horde of male teenage louts will be fawning all over us and begging for autographs. Actually, they were aged anything between 11 and 16 or so in the mid-1980s, so a weeny bit older now. And we'll have to put up with all this adulation because of a few scrappy magazines we published back then. It'll be absolutely wonderful horrible.

For one view of what we did to deserve this:

So sorry to hear that your mouth has given you trouble, and it sounds creepy the way you got it filed down. That he took out a "bone burr" and filed it all down. Good that it at last help so you can eat and talk again.

Hopefully you have no pain anymore.

"Still, today he has perfected the hand-written style for GREGORY'S STORY, so that's something". WOW a new book, can't wait to read that book :-)

So now Oliver have to listen to 14 days of talk LOL his ears will be sore after all the chatter :-)

I hope that you now not get anymore problem with your mouth and are well, take care.

I'm jealous that I was not aware of this and if I had known this I would had been in the same group with the now young adults. I would now like to still be at this event, so nice to see these books/magazines have made.

Damn why have the books/magazines not published in Denmark?!? :-( now I want to find the books/magazines and read them too.

Congratulations to Roger and Oliver for the event and the honor you get for your magazines :-)

To everything else... I missed you all.

Goesta Baffled to the balls by the Kean and Frey family's multitudinous talents. Grudgingly wishing them beset by new and old generations of palpitating fans.

message 3068: by Roger (last edited May 15, 2013 06:21AM) (new)

Roger Kean | 17278 comments Disperambulated at having my talents on show, like in those dreams where everyone's staring at you and you can't come up with a snappy Limerick like nimble Goesta. Still, it's the price of second-rate fame and celebricitiness I suppose…

PS: Why Wolverhampton? Couldn't it be Nice or Cannnes or Venice…?

message 3069: by Goesta (new)

Goesta Lilting Limericks is Macky. Non-prize-winning Hacku is me. I don't know, Wolverhampton sounds romantic and oddly frisky.

message 3070: by Macky (new)

Macky (mactut) I'm totally conjuggled and snitting fiercely that Roger is having teeth problems, that when I read his distressing post made me want to wince and clench my buttocks in sympathy... And then to have to put up with all his and Oli's adoring fans in Wolverhampton instead of Nice, Cannes or Venice is just the tasteless dull cracked icing on a cake of desperation..... you may use that fabuloso piece of lyrical prose Roger in your next wonderful soon to be best selling book that will be so fabulous and awesome like all Rogers other books and available at Amazon and other discerning purveyors of only the classiest and most artfully "illustrated by Zack " books!! ( how much does that get me Roger? )

ODE TO ROGERS DILEMMA

There was a poor writer called Roger
Who had fans he was trying to dodge,er
Not because they were bad,but
sore teeth made him sad
Its a shame he cant just send the lodger! !

I'm annoyed that Goesta didn't win with his glorious Hiccoo it was far and above the bestest one! He's my number one Hicky writer so boo hiss to the pickers who chose the wrong Hockoo poem! Harrumph!

message 3075: by Goesta (new)

Goesta I'm grumpaliciously jealous that Macky engendered a fab new category of poem while simultaneous tossing off a Rogerick. I will be spending the next considerable while, perpetrating random acts of 'Hicky'. I fear I may get arrested for public poetastery.

message 3076: by Macky (new)

Macky (mactut) How annoying that we have to keep getting these free books that Ijeoma tells us about. I suppose I'll have to say thank you to her for reminding us... Goesta should write a Hicky for her.

ode to Ije our Tweetaway Queen
I can't thank our ejay enough

Goesta I'm so flabbergasted that I would have to ask for a phonetic spelling of Ijeoma to even attempt that... I assume ee'gwè-mah isn't even close?

Ije the Devourer of Books | 14524 comments I am disgruntled ( pleased) to have the title of Tweetaway Queen and to have an ode in my honour. Tomorrow they are tweeting Rick Reed's book Chaser. Rick just announced it on Facebook so have to be alert and awake and watching tomorrow :)

Macky, I think he may be a hallucination! Or you may be right - the post under his name does not bode well for his future well being ...

On a happier note, I was rather too busy today to post this earlier, but Andrea Speed, who picked up my prompt, has posted her story! Yay! I mean boo!! (She did a wonderful job too.)

message 3084: by [deleted user] (new)

To say I'm confused about all these updates to complain department.

Missed again tweet away :-( book from DSP

Roger's books with illustrations is amazing, can't wait to next month to buy the books + some others book :-)

Have had a hell of a night and uncomfortable sleep, well at least some of the slerp I did get. The neck is painful and almost a stiff neck again, this is annoying :-(

Hips, neck and back is painful and I feel like shit today. The mood is bad and it should not be when tonight's Eurovision semi-finals Part 2.

@Lucas huh what is going on and damn I missed that you where here yesterday :-(

Congratulations to Andrea Speed and Lori for making the prompt :-)

I hope I get it all, hard to think when you are in so much in pain, and I almost have a headache too :-(

How fabulous awful for Lori that her prompt is up on GR and its good. .. I'm really miffed because I'll have to read it and come back here to complain!

Alas, I fear that Lucas has been abducted by Aliens. I hope they return him soon.Damn these little grey men and their probes!!!!! Stay strong Lucas.....

Lori S. (fuzzipueo) | 2809 comments Ah, Helle, I hope your pain eases over the course of the day. Hope you're able to get some enjoyment out of the Eurovision semi-finals. In any case, take care of yourself!

The greys are busy these days aren't they? Maybe I should get in contact with Agent Mulder ...

Ije the Devourer of Books | 14524 comments Helle I hope tomorrow is much better for you. I do hope you manage to sleep tonight. Hugs and much love

Huh?!? Aliens, Mulder and Scully?!? What are going to happened next?!?

No complain right now, have a good Night sleep and without pain, my neck are better today and the weather is fine, warm and sunny :-)

Going to Langeland today and coming home again monday, the connection to the net is not good there, so I do not know if I can talk to you there or make updates. Whitsun holiday start today and tomorrow we are going out the eat fine dinner and have some dessert too. On Langeland it is quiet and calm, fine natur and is feeling like travel to Spain, Italy or Greece.

One complain is I want to have my books In These Words chapter 1-5, Cruel to be Kind and the Bride that I know has been sent and packets should come this week or next week. The Guilt Pleasure are amazing with their Yaoi/manga books :-) can't wait to read the books hehehe Love the serie <3

I want to buy some more books even if I know I need to read all the others books I have, many books and will next month have 20 more ebooks on my kindle. I enjoy to buy books every month, to read the books and write reviews about the books, feeling that way that I have a job that I enjoy.

Need also to make BBQ this summer and find others recipe to make to my family, enjoy cooking :-)

Thank you Ijeoma! Macky, Lori and Goesta for your sweet and kind words that means a lot to me, thank you for your support xxx <3

Goesta thank you for the sexy video to distracted from my pain and get the indorfines in work :-)

Have a great weekend and holiday all my sweet and lovely friends on the complain department xxx <3 Hugs and kisses

message 3093: by Macky (last edited May 17, 2013 02:10AM) (new)

Macky (mactut) I'm flabbergasted that Helle has had a much better night and has woke up with less pain thats wonderful terrible! How annoying that she has to wait for some books she really loves. But the worst thing is its warm and sunny in Denmark, so BBQ's might be happening with loads of mouth watering foods. How delicious unappetising!

As for green frog like Aliens well I'm shuddering.... Does that mean they have webbed bits? Perhaps I could explore this subject on Mistress Macky's thread....

Grumpy weekend thoughts to all fellow complainers.

Roger Kean and Oliver Frey Adulated to death? Why so you ask?

Roger and partner Oliver Frey brought the boys of Britain to their knees by publishing computer games magazines which kept a nation of busy little boy hands jamming their juicy joysticks! It's too bad that they never published one featuring 8-bit boy on boy action: they would not have only created the most famous names in the birth of British computing but they could have gotten famously arrested too. Sorry guys, you can't win 'em all.

Those old computer crazed worlds our heros' created even gave birth to the first computer retrovirus, The Terminal Man. (Check it out, use the links in Lucas' review and buy it on Amazon.)

For anyone who could have somehow missed Roger and Oliver's takeover of 1980's computer gaming culture, use this link (although I don't see how you could have missed it unless you were among the multitudes who weren't yet born) Want to see the mustachio'd Sexy 007 Roger "Bond" Kean and Swiss heartthrob the seriously sensuous Oliver Frey?
