message 2851: by Jerry (new)

Jerry You know how we also complain about sex in the morning? Well, the most awful thing happened today--Tim woke up with morning wood! I offered to help him out with it cause it seemed as if it wouldn't go away. So now I've got this feeling and image of us and sounds--he was moaning so horribly constantly pounding in my head. How will I ever be able to stand this all day long?

I'm totally miffed that anyone would go to bed with a tree instead of their partner! Tim should have gone to bed with Jerry, no wonder he woke up with morning wood. It must have been a very heavy piece and probably trapping his legs, so no wonder he was moaning! Poor Tim did you relieve him by using your big chopper, jerry?

Jerry The wood kind of fell into a tight hole. We kept trying different positions but it just wouldn't release. We kept struggling with it till it finally released and we were able to slide it out. What a time we had with it!

How annoying that jerry is such a good woodsman. I'm in awe of his chopping skills. That must have been a really tight hole! Phew, perhaps you should have called the fire station to get a hunky strapping fireman to come and help you. They say three heads are better than one!

Gabbo Parra (lordgabux) | 559 comments I am outraged that Jerry must certainly also have mad skills as a swordsman. After all if he can wield an axe, a sword should be children's play.

Am I allow to write children and sword in the same sentence? or the problem would be with wood?

message 2857: by Goesta (new)

Goesta I must grudgingly interject that I found said book, Subject 19 by Todd Young , almost as head-spinningly enthralling as and even more deeply disconcerting than the confusing images flying around the past few posts (which word makes me think of beds and wood, again, and thus, leaves, and thence, soaked transparent shorts, and figs without leaves, and sinful consequences thereof. Mind-frying...).

Anyway, quite worthwhile, but not as light a read as those first lines might suggest.

Goesta Gabbo wrote: "Am I allow to write children and sword in the same sentence? or the problem would be with wood?"

I must protest that the rules are too lax for the likes of our friend Gabbo, who merely needs to assure us that he is referencing Pinocchio's long, hard nose. Or any of countless tales of naughty, young people lost in deep forests, about to learn important life lessons at the hands of creepy strangers.

Why do I have to wake up early with pain and on my birthday :-( I would like to sleep to 10 and then wake up almost pain free, but of cause I should wake the wrong way.

Well I have to think about the positive today, fine dinner and a lot laugh and smiles.

My parents gave me a grill, so I can make Barbecue in the summer, which I have dreamed of since I was little. I got the rest of the accessories to my grill and it was what I needed for my apartment, so I am very happy :-) :-) :-)

I have to complain that I absolutely loved hated every single word of it and felt compelled to put it in writing just how awesomenessinglymazeballsfab horrible it was!!! I urge everyone to go and read it because its so bleeping good never set eyes on it. Oh and the illustration on the front cover by Oli is absolutely amazingballs appalling so it just totally rocks! sucks!!

I have to strongly show my disappointment that Macky obviously did not read past Chapter 3 of Roger Kean's 5 ***** star love story and adventure A Life Apart or she would not have have used the word brothers in describing the two hotties who are the the protagonists of A Life Apart in her message 3000. Either that or I must reread the book for the umpteenth time since it's my favorite book and quite as exciting as my other favorite book Thunderbolt:Torn Enemy of Rome also by Roger Kean which is very, very different from my other very most favorite book Roger's very sexy and fantastical Felixitations].

A free preview, actually it's the entire Chapter 9 of is available at this link:

Naughty Macky! Your mind is so wonderfully perverted and I'm so glad for your warped moral turpitude for it brings us the most wondrously perverse Mistress Macky story serials about our very own Complaint Department members in her chamber of depravity at:

Goesta I am perturbed that my filthy though literate mind thrills at the associations it draws via the word "rectify," as in putting things right, rectally.

I am also feeling bothered and torn by a bejiggering conundrum, though that's not quite the right word, I merely like hearing it. My sweet, barely baked magical couple (they've done the deed, what, a half-dozen times) are beset in the midst of their first adventure by someone extra-luscious from the past. Apparently this is a no-no in much of m/m. What do do? Restrain rampant passion for prudish propriety's sake, or celebrate love's many-faceted opportunities in the secure knowledge that true soulmates' bonds will hardly be rattled like/by worn-out bedsprings carrying more than their allotted load? One randy scribbler wants to know.

I'm on board with you entirely on this, Anil. I don't like it either and I refuse outright when they ask. I'm not the most telegenic individual in the world and it's made worse by a web camera that flatters no one. Besides, it will generally lead to the next thing, webcam sex, which I've never attempted but which I would have given up a long time ago, along with anonymous phone sex. Sooo 1980s!

Anil (loykalina) | 303 comments It makes me P.O.'ed that it indeed leads to webcam sex as Aves pointed out. They feel offended when you turn their webcam sex offer. I wouldn't mind taking a two-hour trip to meet a guy even it might produce a disappointing result.

Another thing that P. O.'s me is that some guys assume that I will meet them and have sex with them because they happen to have a penis. They have either no photos on their profiles or photos that I can't have an opinion on them. Those guys feel offended, too. They think they can persuade you if they insist and talk about how big and veiny their cucumbers are. That sickens me.

Many thanks for all the birthday greetings my sweet and lovely friends xxx <3 <3 <3 :-) :-) :-)

My pain is better, I was unlucky to strain my muscle in my left shoulder, this is better now. Now only the normal pain and the pain killers is working again, it help that I am relaxed and happy :-)

@Roger I want to buy your books next month and WOW so many great books :-) :-) :-)

@Anil I have never understand that too and it is their loss if they are turned off by you for not using Skype, not yours.

@Aves so sorry to hear that man flirt with you and shot you down *grrr* no one do that to our sweet and lovely pilot/ballet dancer

@Anil and Aves I am sure there are a gentleman to both of you, one that will love, care and is your soulmate

My only real complain right now, so many books and so little time to read it and not the money to buy more books this month *roll eyes* this happened every month, the list long and is getting longer everytime.

Now Roger books is on my list to buy, and 3-4 others authors I want to buy next month, I already have 1200 books I need to read and this list are going to get a higher number and that is just the ebooks, I really do not know how many "normal" books I have *face palm*

So yes I love to read books, if the number have not tell you about it. Need to buy ITW vol.1-5 too :-)

Roger Kean Thunderbolt Torn Enemy of Rome by Roger Kean

I told you Roger Kean's historical gay novel Thunderbolt:Torn Enemy of Rome was about the Punic Wars. I can't help if you thought I said Pubic Wars.

Macky wrote: "dang it in my eagerness to tell you all how fabulous bad the book is I forgot to present the word brothers as ' brothers ' thus making you subtly realise that actually there may be a bit of a hmmmm moment about their relationship! I will say nothing more, my lips are sealed..."

I am herniffergated that Macky's lips are sealed on the subject of the relationship in Roger Kean's gigantic novel of the adventures and loves of Edward and Richard in A Life Apart because mine are not.

Some people have strong feelings about about these matters and need to know if it's twincest or not before they pay $3.99 at Smashwords or Amazon. That is why in my 5***** star review on the over 130,000 word glorious book I start out with:

The Cover says Brothers? Lovers. Which is it? or Both? If you need to know if they are really brothers before you decide whether or not to get this magnificent book view this spoiler. This spoiler only tells you whether or not there is incest so you can decide if you want to read the book. (view spoiler)

The rest of my review is at http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/... but Macky wrote a better review at http://www.goodreads.com/review/show/....

If you would like to know Rogers intent for the book read this but I'm putting it in as a spoiler because it does answer the "brother" question too. However if that's not an issue for you this is a brief two short paragraphs he wrote on the concept and it's not only revealing but it is revealing. (view spoiler)

There is a way that Complaint Department members can win an e-book copy of A Life Apart right now but I'm not going to tell you how... yet. I will soon.

Distraught * Sob* ... goodbye stange fruity bird lamp, may you find the nest you search for in the bosom of some weird family who love owls and pineapples. Never mind Danni your dignity although in tatters (and lets be honest its ripped to shreds at the moment ) will mend itself so that you can go and buy something just as odd in the future. Perhaps a banana butterfly ornament or a kiwi koala duvet set or even better a set of curtains depicting wildlife eating different fruits in a bright jungle setting....What a sad moment!

You can borrow books if you sign up for Amazon Prime. They have a kindle lending library but not every book is part of the lending scheme. Costs forty something pounds a year. I am not sure it is worth it because I don't see many m/m books that are part of the lending scheme.

Thanks Ijeoma, I didn't know that, although as I pretty much only read M/M it's probably not worth it for me.

So now I have a complaint which has nothing to do with fruity birds/smut and I know it is really whingy so I apologise profusely for that, but I just have to get this off my chest. Here goes...

IRL very few people know that I write stories, and only 3 of my closest friends are people I trust enough to give my author name to. The main reason is that I feel writing is very personal, and I wouldn't be comfortable about most people having access to my personal thoughts IYSWIM?

Anyway, of those 3 friends, only 1 has actually downloaded and commented (to me) on one of my stories. In all honesty, I'm pretty hurt by that, especially as they all have really good careers (and I don't) so writing is kind of 'my thing' that I can feel proud of. I do appreciate that M/M is not everyone's thing, and I certainly haven't battered them over the head with it, but I would really have appreciated it if I'd got a 'hey, I really liked your story,' or even 'hey, M/M is totally not my thing so I won't read it, but I downloaded your story anyway.' Just something would be nice.

So yeah, sorry that's a real whinge, but I just needed to have a moan so I could feel better :(

Ijeoma wrote: "...Costs forty something pounds a year. I am not sure it is worth it because I don't see many m/m books that are part of the lending scheme."

I'm PO'd that in England you get free delivery usually in two days. Of course New York State alone is a bigger area than England so naturally shipping distances are shorter in your country. I guess that's why you get a break we don't. However, once an American becomes an Amazon Prime member they do get free two-day shipping and that's a big benefit for me.

In the US being an Amazon Prime member has other benefits. In addition to borrowing a book and free 2-day delivery, some movies on demand are free for Prime members.

I cannot borrow a book because it requires having a Kindle. iIf a Prime member uses a pad there are apps that allow them to read Kindle books on the iPad or other pad devices but Amazon Prime does not lend to pads, only to Kindles.

I guess since people have different needs, it means weighing all he options.

Kissing the koala, Lucas :-)

Ije the Devourer of Books | 14524 comments @ Danni

I would be hurt if I wrote stories and my close friends didn't read them. I have friends who write and I make a real efforts to read their books and review them and write about how they made me feel. I have friends who write academic articles and press articles and I do my best to read those too.

That's what friends are for. You are right to complain. I know they are probably very busy etc etc but sometimes as friends we just have to make the effort even if it is something that we don't normally read.

I must say I as puzzled as you Ijeoma on the whole leopard/cheetah print clothing. Is it because they want to be seen as the "wild thing"? Yo no se!

I am sorry to hear about the pineapple-owl lamp, Danni. :o( I thought it rather adorable myself. Sorry too, that your friends haven't lent their support in your favor.
